Ok, so first Sukka is one of the best ships in atla, I stand behind you at that and I also quite dislike the second ship. BUT Zuko is a million times better then Katara. She is an ignorant little waterbender from episode 1 till the very end and Zuko is simply amazing. His character ark, his beginnings, his redemption arc. Mwah, chef kiss. And did Katara bring us a character as universely beloved as Uncle Iroh? No? Well point for Zuko.

Literally every iteration of him is fat too!!! Not just in the musical! Beetlejuice has always been a chunky manlet.

In the film, though Michael Keaton himself isn’t overweight, but he wears a body suit to simulate having a beer gut. Or it could potentially be referencing how stages of decomposition can cause corpses to appear bloated.

Considering his persona is that of a door-to-door (or in this case, grave-to-grave) salesman, the illusion could be a combination of him both being fat because he’s a deadbeat, and fat due to a more subtle reference to decomp. Most of his outfits, with only his striped suit being an exception, fit him snuggly.

In the cartoon, this generally round-around-the-middle illusion is translated to a more aesthetically pleasing and mostly consistent design.

It retains the whole thin-limbs-wide-middle look that Keaton originated, but with a rounder face as well, overall making his silhouette a little less awkward and more endearing. It focused on more round and organic shapes to keep him friendly-looking to mirror his softer, more protagonist part in the show. He’s even shown with a double chin!

aLright so, I found this speedpaint I edited together of an animatic I was in the middle of making before I accidentally deleted a lOad of files from my laptop. So sadly this will n e v e r see the light of day >:(
I lost the first frame along with all the .sai files and just…big sAd-
I feel a bit bummed since it’s nOT the first time I’ve accidentally mass deleted a lot of my stuff. Once I had to reset my old laptop and vEry dUmbly forgot to back-up everything properly.

I don’t really like Jason but the way he died was noble and just very Jason. that whole scene with the yachts was just horrifying. piper getting hurt so badly, meg being unable to do anything, apollo fucking stabbing himself and then Jason sacrificing himself for piper. I’m sad. it hurt. poor piper.

ANd yeah, agrEed! The whole scene in general hit hard, and even though I didn’t care much about Jason either, it was really sad seeing how his death affected everyone else! D:

if you could, would you undo the entire trials of apollo series, if it meant undoing jason’s death, but also solangelo being canon?

I love Apollo’s character too much, I love his character development too much. I relate to him too much. Even if Solangelo wasn’t on the table of being undone, I still would never undo ToA just to keep Jason alive.

One or two well-known characters have to die at some, otherwise the danger in Uncle Rick’s series will falter, considering we’ll be 100% sure that every character has a thick layer of plot armor and simply will never be killed. That, and I never really vibed with Jason anyways. He was okay in my opinion—not a bad character at all—I’m just not personally sad to see him go.
