i find it annoying that you’re joking about which vaccine you’re getting as if it’s an ice cream flavor you can choose from, implying there’s an overabundance of it, while people from the southern hemisphere are begging for any vaccine at all.

north america and europe blocked petitions from these countries to drop patents and let us mass produce these vaccines for cheap, so that everyone has access to it. but no, they’ve decided their profit and ‘intellectual property’ is more important than literal human lives. countries from the global north also have bought vaccines amounting to 3 or 4 times their population.

i’m glad you’re all getting vaccinated so fast, i’m just asking y’all to read the room. for some people it’s going to be years before them or their loved ones are safe from covid.
