Hi! I'm keen to start a literature + poetry blog like yours but the thing is, I'm not sure how to find enough content to post regularly. How do you manage to read and post so much in a short time, and do you have any tips that would be helpful? Thanks in advance :)
When I started this blog, I honestly didn’t worry about having enough content to post regularly. I just wanted to share my love for books, literature and reading with other people.
It might not seem like it, but I’m actually a quite slow reader. On the one hand that’s because I don’t always have time to read for hours (I’m a student and also have a part-time job), but on the other hand my slow(er) reading pace is very much on purpose. Reading for me is the most beautiful thing - my passion, if you want - and when I sit down with a book I want to emerge myself completely in this other world! I don’t want to hurry through it only because there is this fear inside of me that I have to find a quote - any quote - to post on here.
Having said that, I do get very “moody” if I can’t read for longer than three days (exam season is NOT a good time, as you can imagine!), so I always put time aside to read: 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the evening can make a lot of difference, believe me!
I think the only advice I can give you is to just start your blog without worrying too much about what comes after. It might also help you to hear that I don’t post every single day. There is nothing wrong with doing things at your own pace. Just sharing your love for literature with others is enough!
