Here’s some turnarounds I did for “Mumbai Madness” I always try to keep close to the boards. There’s something very soft and cute about Alonso’s version of Mickey. I always seem to draw Mickey very rounded whenever he does an episode. Jelly bean toes were a nice change of pace.
Oswald is very protective of his little brother. I can’t imagine that he isn’t. Mickey seems to get picked on a lot (in a lot of shorts he’s in) and Oswald makes sure that ends fast. Do I think Oswald goes overboard…yeah…do I think it’s hilarious…yeah lol
Disney may have brought back Oswald and Ortensia but they forgot to bring back the Original Pete. We could have gotten two Pete’s but NO!
Mickey and the Magic Mirror sound like it has potential for a movie, but it probably wouldn’t be this mirror from Snow White before Snow Whi - OH SHIT I FORGOT THE REST OF MICKEY ARM THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!
( Greetings, this cutscene will always succeed in making me emotional ;;
Because this is occurring the second the B.lot, a physical manifestation of paint, thinner, and ink, an inky personification of destruction, a monster M.ickey accidentally created and accidentally released in the same world his forgotten older brother resides in, is released from the jug its imprisoned in. And since it’s been released (because of O.swald being righteously furious at M.ickey for releasing that thing into wasteland, his home), it immediately takes a hold of O.swald and Gus, and looking down at its creator, demanding for one thing and one thing only:
M.ickey acknowledges this instantly, knowing from the beginning it’s what it desired. Knowing from the beginning it attempted to steal his heart in the first place, bringing him down to Wasteland along with it. He is aware it wanted his heart, though… having his heart taken from him… it comes with a realization that he wouldn’t be able to return back home. Toons without hearts cannot escape Wasteland, forgotten Toons in Wasteland know this. But M.ickey isn’t from Wasteland. He couldn’t be if he isn’t forgotten.
He acknowledges the consequence of the B.lot taking his heart will bring. The B.lot has the possibility of exiting Wasteland. It can bring devastation to his home. And he wouldn’t be able to return home. He’s aware of the consequences, but he won’t have his brother and his friend harmed. He won’t allow them to have their essence drained, their ink/paint drained and turning them inert/stone. He wouldn’t know what he would do if he allowed that to happen.
So he allowed the B.lot to take his heart. To take it if it meant freeing his brother and his friend. If it’s the one thing he could to to save them, he’ll do it. After all, he brought so much destruction to their world. He brought destruction to his brother’s world.
This is his mistake, and he is going to fix it. Make amends for it. Even if it comes with putting himself at risk. )
