There is also a good book: The Case of Christ from Lee Patrick Strobel

If books aren’t your thing, there is a movie adaptation. https://youtu.be/rhe8KhSxWGo

Another book is from Gary Habermas called Historical Jesus.

You can buy the book or just Google it with the last word pdf and the pdf format is free to read for everyone. At least when I tried it it came up right away.

If that’s too long for you (the book has 90 pages in pdf) then here is a Video from where I know the book, which kinda summarises it a bit.

These resources were very helpful. I do believe that Jesus existed in history, and that he was a man who, from what I read if I read it correctly, started the Christian religion in some historical texts that were written under no Christian bias. They did say in these writings that some of the ancient texts weren’t written in full historical detail due to the bias of the religion itself. Do you agree that some Christians do have a bias toward their religion rather than some historical facts? I believe that the Bible is a form of mythology and Christianity is the religion that is based from the mythological books. There definitely is historical connections to the Bible, just as there are in Greek mythology and other forms of mythology.

What Christians belief is that Jesus the Messiah is from Judaism. Well, at least from the Judaism approximately 2000 years ago and older. I am not petty about that at all but that’s my problem.

The Hebrew texts mentioned his coming multiple times over the decades. Christianity is in fact not really a new religion, just the finish line from Judaism and its completions. (Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.;Matthew 5:17 KJV) Though, most modern Judaism denies Jesus vehemently!!! (So don’t try to talk with a Rabbi about Jesus or you will be thrown out of the synagogues.)

The Torah, first books of Moses, until the book of Esther can be seen as some what historical as well. It’s Jewish history. The places and the kingdoms of the old testament (Tanakh) existed. You have to study Jewish history if you wanna claim christianity as being mythology like the Greek mythology but I can say to you, the Jews would be kinda offended.

Jewish and Christian History did happened with real people and are the only one being able to provide that. (The only one fishy may be the book of Genesis but I am not smart so pls ask a scholar about that, not me. I can only use Google.)

Proof Jesus Christ exists outside of the Bible

I was asked to show some evidence that Jesus existed which isn’t from the Bible.

I found two articles summarising the evidence

I think it’s quite funny that many modern tv shows or movies are often based on sth Christian/Jewish but twisted around. May it be the concept of the Bible or just small parts.

    anna-de-belle:

Well, I do know Christ exists, so… yeah. He died for me so I would have no problem to die for him as well. Suggesting that someone needs help implies my previous statement about you. Also that’s you’re personally opinion is still voiced in a rude manner.

    electrasmagiccorner:

    anna-de-belle:

Well, you don’t have to become Christian and no one is forcing you to.

    electrasmagiccorner:

Apparently religious depression exists and I absolutely despise it and the cult that is Christianity if your religion makes you depressed because people are cussing and it goes against what you believe and it hurts you THAT much you really need some help because religion should NOT be like that. Christianity displays such cult behaviors and I cannot stand it it’s disgusting. If you literally do not accept oxygen in an ambulance while you’re dying because you think you’re “going home” to heaven and you’re that happy about something you don’t even know exists then you’ve got a DEEP problem. Please someone help Christians that’s absolutely insane and I can’t believe people genuinely think that and don’t even stop for a second to question it

From that example I gather that you try to tell people how to live which is against free will. Do you want to forbid another human’s free will? Is that not cult behaviour as well?

I’m not telling people how to live at all. I’m stating that if you are willing to DIE for something that you don’t know exists, you probably need some help. I was Christian and those experiences I’m talking about are family experiences. I’m not forbidding anyone’s free will.

    Wish you a good day!

You assumed that I’m trying to take peoples free will away from them.. my original post was meant as a rant due to the fact that those are personal family experiences within the religion. Religion is based around faith not fact, nobody truly knows if God is real. Nobody truly knows if the gods and goddesses are real. I believe that they all exist, I’m not denying the existence of God, I’m berating the teachings of most of modern day Christianity and how they treated other religions in the past. People died in history for not conforming to Christian beliefs, and people today still spit on other religions and do radical things in the name of God that just don’t make sense to me. If you’re willing to die for God, fine, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not gonna rant about it and how I feel it’s wrong to think that way. I have every right to speak on that, not only because of freedom of speech but because of how I’ve been treated by family and other people for what I believe in. I’m not forcing anyone to do anything, I’m stating my opinion on the whole ordeal and how I feel and think about it. I’m not stopping you from doing what you want, but this is my page and I will say what I please.

That’s fine, I wasn’t telling you to stop voicing your opinion, just that it was made in a rude way. If your intention wasn’t to dictate my will then I tell you that it’s just sounded that way. Maybe a few different words may be more fortunate so no misconceptions may occur in the future.

The only thing I have to disagree is that we do know that Jesus Christ existed on earth. 2020 years ago he was born, if you have forgotten our time calculation. He died and came back to live. That’s not only biblical but also historical facts no scientist was able to disprove or dismiss. (A huge difference to any other religious group may I say.)

If you have to scare someone into believing what you believe then you’re a cult. If you brainwash people into giving their lives for their religion it’s a cult

Why is this (only) tagged christianity? I obviously agree with you but I would say that every religion has these tendencies, not just Christian communities (unfortunately).

    anna-de-belle:

I do like the thought of the traditional femininity and tradfem thing; being able to freely express the softer side of mine.

But in Tumblr, the tags are full of secretly lust. Like, yeah. I wanna submit to my husband but he isn’t ( a s-x) God. Sometimes it comes off as that on Tumblr.

In my Christian opinion, a traditional gender roles tags and familiar forms of tags have gone off it’s roots. They are based on lust and possession, not necessarily on God’s will and love.

I hope you know that I don’t mean all tradfem or other tags are bad and should convert to christianity (though that would be nice but not my intention here).

I just noticed that, although the traditional community often denies it’s connection to lustful behaviour and content, it’s clearly full of lustful emotions.

I am a bit bothered by that because it’s the nearest tag a Christian woman can find to see some content with a hint of Gods wanted gender roles. I would love that Christian women would have an own tag, do we have one?

Oh, that is totally understandable! As a Christian gal myself, it saddens me when I see nsfw Tradfem blogs 😭😭 but hey, it is their blog, they can do and post what they want, so no hate towards them ☺️🧡 What you can do is try to follow the Tradfem blogs that have sfw in their bios or somewhere on their page. Then you can try to find Tradfem blogs that are Christian, as there are quite a lot of them! If you want, I can recommend you some of them! 🍓❤️🌼

I really don’t want to forbid anyone their content. You are right of course!

I would love to read your recommendations!! Thank you for your kindness 🥰❤

Do not idolize money, gold, fan, followers, likes, like the Hebrew idolized the Golden Claf. Nowadays people idolize fan on social media more than God, they idolize these ppl that get likes and follower look at their video daily and do not read the Bible daily. The only one you should idolize is God because him only is glory and holy. You should worship God daily and not only on holiday or Christmas, like you worship this social influencer. God need your attention daily, do not wait until you are in bad situations to pray, pray daily so God show you the right ways to go and avoid this situation. God only can protect you and his your shield. The more you pray the more your shield get bigger and the more people or situations cannot hurt you. Pray daily, read the Bible daily because you never know when you will need your shield. In the name of Jesus amen and amen 🙏 🙌🙏

I needed that, especially today. Thanks for that and thank you God ❤
