The most asexual lesbian thing I’ve ever done was try to explain to my friends that “women’s bodies are just more aesthetically attractive”
‘How exciting is this?!’ Lance exclaimed from his place on the floor, surrounded by open moving boxes, the contents already spilling out haphazardly in an arch around Lance in his eagerness to fill their new house with their things (“It’s not a home until it’s filled with our stuff, Keith!”). It was a mess of belongings, but Keith found he didn’t mind because he was endeared by how Lance kept getting distracted by every knick knack he pulled out, and also because there was something about seeing their things jumbled together so naturally that filled his chest with something giddy and warm.
With a smile he set their freshly poured coffee’s on the window sill and sunk to his knees in front of Lance, who was practically bouncing on the spot, eyes bright with happiness.
'This is our home.’ Lance whispered meaningfully, hands clapping together. 'Our forever home.’ He said and Keith’s heart burst with adoration.
Home had always been a distant concept for Keith, before Lance he’d always been on the move, never finding a reason to stay… and then he’d met Lance and he’d found a million and one reason why he should. Lance was his home long before they’d put the deposit on this cottage by the sea. His forever home.
'Yeah.’ Keith agreed with a soft smile and a warm gaze. 'Our home.’
In another world… we’d be one.

Keith inputted the coordinates for their next destination and with a few idle flicks and presses, the ship was set to auto cruise. With a sigh, he settled back against his seat, tired and drained from the recent mission. He felt the brush of dextrous fingers running over his knuckles before slipping into his palm and between his fingers, squeezing gently. And Keith smiled, tilting his head to look over at his partner. Lance, looking sleepy and content, was ready to settle in for the long journey back to base, slouched in his seat, head tilted much like Keith’s, as if he were too tired to move. He smiled warmly, gaze holding Keith’s for what seemed like an eternity before tilting his ahead back to the view head of them Keith watched him for a moment longer. Years on and sometimes he still found it hard to believe that Lance was here with him, that he had chosen to follow Keith back into space when he didn’t have to.
He followed Lance’s gaze and settled back comfortably, hand locked with Lance’s over the middle console between their seats, bridging the small space between them.

You’re captivating, you lure me in with a crooked smile and a daring gleam, I can’t resist. You’re mysterious, an enigma I can’t rap my head around but my heart wants more. You’re dangerous, a bad boy haloed by red looking like a devil but with the face of an angel. You captured me and now my heart is in your hands.
