These Harry Potter portraits are inspired by my sister’s ( @leffiesart ) drawings - I love them so much! Which characters would you like to see me draw too? :)
Did you know that AO3 allows fics with homicide in them? There’s a whole tag for Major Character Death and even more tags so you can find exactly what kind of character death you want to read.
Don’t they know that murder is illegal? You just know there are a bunch of homicidal maniacs out there who love to read those stories. They write them, too, in between killing people.
Anyone can read the stories on AO3! Kids can read them! They’re getting exposed to stabbing, poisoning, even guns! And they’re writing the heroes doing the killing, too! That’s basically telling kids it’s okay to go out and murder their families. It’s promoting violence and encouraging homicide and if we don’t do something about it soon, you’ll be murdered next!
The devil came to my house and tried to burn it down, which is why this post exists in the first place.
I saw Goody OP writing darkfic with the devil.
COMING UNDONE UPDATE: Chapter 26“I know it’s scary, love.”
That got her attention and she looked up from his shoulder to peer into his eyes, “I’m not scared.”
The smile on his face was light but there was a hint of knowing in there too and he tugged on one of her curls, “Of course not, Treasure. Nerve-wracking, then.”
“If I win, you do dishes for a week.” for Fenrir x Hermione?
“Race you to the tree line?” Greyback offered as they were crossing the field, heading for the sanctity of the forest beyond.
Hermione looked over, raising her eyebrows in challenge.
“The rules?” she inquired.
He smirked at her.
Hermione pondered it.
“Fine,” she nodded. “But if I win, you do the dishes for a week.”
Fenrir laughed, doubting she would win. She never won.
“Deal,” he smirked. “On three?”
“One,” Hermione nodded, readying herself.
“Two,” he goaded, those sharp fangs on display in a mean smile as he dug the claws on his feet into the earth, ready to take off at pace.
“THREE!” they both shouted.
Fenrir burst forward, only too willing to use his lycanthropy to his full advantage. Hermione, however, was no idiot. She could never outrun him. She’d tried a hundred times. But there were no rules except that she had to reach the treeline first. Twisting sharply to the left, Hermione disapparated with a violent crack, appearing at the tree line while Fenrir was still a good ten paces away.
“Ha!” she crowed, grinning triumphantly. “I win. You’re doing the dishes. Oomph.”
He tackled her into the undergrowth, his massive shoulder colliding with her belly and propelling them both to the forest floor, his reactions a hair too slow to protect her from rolling in the leaflitter with him.
“You cheated,” he growled from above her when they tumbled to a stop, naturally, with him on top of her, pinning her to the ground.
“There were no rules,” she reminded you. “And I reached the tree line first.”
“Sneaky witch,” he accused.
“Dumb werewolf,” Hermione retorted, laughing when he growled at her before he lowered his head and kissed her hungrily, his annoyance at losing their race forgotten in a heartbeat when she swept her tongue into his mouth.
Draco: Scorpius, you are old enough now, I think it is time we have the talk.
Scorpius: Dad, no! I already know where kids come from we really do not have do this
Draco: Oh, no I do not mean that kind of talk. I mean the “a lot people in your family are actually criminals” talk. So, it all started with your great grandfather Abraxas, who-
My darling @caroll-in requested Draco wearing Muggle clothes and after a short discussion, we agreed they don’t have to be fancy for Harry to fall in love with him all over again. Stealing Harry’s glasses is something Draco does only to have Potter jump him.
Karol, I hope you like this little gift. Thank you so much for requesting it, and for being such a wonderful friend. 💗💗
The Sapphire Princess: M
A Dramione War AU
He was marked when he was sixteen. She was marked when she was twenty. His is a snake, hers is a willow. One was a choice, one is an obligation. Neither is truly understood, and both will change everything.
“You shall collect the Princess, Draco Malfoy, and you will bring her back where she belongs.”
Three years after the death of Albus Dumbledore, the Order of the Phoenix and the Death Eaters are in the middle of a never-ending war, until an old wizarding legend raises the stakes. On the morning of Hermione Granger’s twentieth birthday, she wakes up with the mark of a willow seared into her skin. Though the Order doesn’t recognize the symbol, a Death Eater does when he faces Hermione in battle. Hermione has been marked with the Mark of Morganna, proving that she is the last remaining descendant of Morganna Le Fay, the original witch. When Voldemort learns this, he sends one of his followers to bring Hermione back to his side, both because of her newfound pureblood status, and the incredible power she wields. The Death Eater he sends: Draco Malfoy.
NOW COMPLETE ON FFNET
forget writer’s block. let’s talk about reader’s block. you’re sitting there scrolling through your marked for later, scrolling through your favourite tags, scrolling through your bookmarks, scrolling through your favourite authors’ profiles and no matter what you do you can’t find anything you want to read
even though you are surrounded by things you would love if you could only frickin’ start
I’ve also heard this called “decision fatigue”. Very real thing. Very common thing. It’s deeply frustrating.
I hope it’s ok if I add that in my experience, the harder you try to force yourself past this, the worse it gets. I’ll end up saying to myself “I Must Read These Fics!!” and so I open something even though I don’t have the reading brainpower and then I read the same paragraph six times without retaining it and feel bad and discouraged and let it languish again.
I wish I could find the post on rehabbing writing injuries, because rehabbing reading injuries is the other side of that coin, and I feel like it’d be useful here (if I find it I’ll reblog again).
Basically: it’s okay if you can’t read right now. It doesn’t mean you never will again! but it’ll be easier to get back to it if you don’t try to push past your limits and end up with a reading injury that’s now overworked and needs more rehab than before.
She took one step toward the unmoving couple just as Draco sucked in a tight breath, and a sob rattled out, into his mother’s neck. Narcissa held him close to her with a soft hum.
Hermione paused, going very still.
“Breathe, Draco,” Narcissa murmured.
