Hello!! Could you write a domestic-y Beej x fem angel! Reader? It can be anything you want but it has to be super fluffy and maybe one of the others (Deetz’, Maitlands, Lydia) catches them in the cute act?? Pls dm me if you want more info!! This’ll be inspo for my Beej/oc self insert 💖💖💖
Technically you asked for this ages ago, and I’m so sorry it took this long, but I finally have it for you. I’m not sure if this is exactly what you wanted, but it’s sort of where the characters took me. I hope you don’t mind about the name Saraphina either. I imagine you could always swap it for your OC’s name, but since it was a shortened female name for Seraphim I decided to go with that.
The Two Gaurdians
When he first saw her, he wasn’t sure how to feel. He figured she must have been a pretty lousy guardian to have let Lydia sink so far into depression before. Then again, he wasn’t really sure what the rules were as far as how much guardian angels were allowed to interfere. One thing was for sure though, the time she saw fit to finally interfer was a weird one.
Beetlejuice had moved back in with the Maitlands and the Deetzes, and had been there for several months. Everything was going fine, until Lydia slipped on the roof. Beej was sure he had a firmer grasp on her, but she seemed to to slip through his fingers. Time froze in that moment. The look of terror on her face being enough to snap him out of shock and quickly engage his magic to catch her. Just as he was about to do so though, a large pair of brilliant wings blocked his view. The radiance of the wings alone were enough to cause him to stumble backwards against the roof.
Then the most beautiful creature he’d ever seen turned towards him, holding Lydia in her arms. After a few moments of being completely mezmerized by this being, the realization of what he was looking at hit hard. He quickly became overwhelmed with fear, certain that moment would be his end. There was no way a gaurdian Angel was going to continue to let him exist near her breather. He panicked and shouted the first thing to come to his mind.
“It was an accident!” He whimpered.
The Angel glared at him, causing him to shake. She spoke one word, and one word was all it took for him to listen.
He scampered off the roof, tail between his legs.
Of course it was Lydia that properly introduced the two. Since she was unwilling to part with Beetlejuice, the Angel reluctantly agreed to co-exist with him. Saraphina was her name, and despite her initial reaction toward the demon, he found that she was recently becoming more lenient on following the rules.
The two had very civil conversations regarding Lydia and her safety. Then the talks began to deviate into friendlier topics. In fact, after they came to understanding that they were more or less on the same side, Beetlejuice and Saraphina got a long very well. Lydia confided in them often, and the three spent a lot of time together. Which was why he was confused and bothered that she was acting so shy around him now.
She tended to look away when ever he looked at her. She seemed to make sure she was keeping her distance. Perhaps the worst example was when she jumped away from him with a small scream in response to him offering a hug. That one hurt. He didn’t understand, had he been getting uglier lately? Was his decay worsening? Did he smell worse?
These thoughts danced around his head as bit into his bar of chocolate watching her clean the living room. A peice broke away from the bar and fell to the ground. The sound was so soft, but Saraphina heard and came to pick it up. Beej jumped up.
“It’s okay! I got it!” He announced, scrambling to pick up the chocolate. The two ended up hitting each other’s heads and falling to the ground.
“O-ow…” Beej rubbed his head and look up to see her holding her hand out to touch it. Surprised by this, he leaned forward letting her press her hand to his scalp. In less than a second, the pain went away.
Beetlejuice’s eyes widened with realization, and he blushed.
The angel looked down at the floor. “It’s no problem.”
The awkward air was heavy, but being one who didn’t care much how he was perceived for sudden actions, he decided to confront her.
“So, you’ve been acting a little weird lately.”
Saraphina looked up in shock.
“I … Yes. I’m sorry about that.”
“Well, what is it? Have I grown a second nose or something?”
She giggled. A soft smile remained on her face as she ran her hands down a lock of her hair.
“I guess I’ve just been worried about getting too close to you.”
“Heh, you and Adam both.”
“You probably wouldn’t have that problem if you didn’t torment him so much.” She snickered.
“You call it torment, I call it persistance in order to reach a goal.
"Ever the charmer, Lawrence.”
He scratched the back of his neck. Usually he’d threaten anyone that called him by his first name, but she said it so sweetly, it was almost comforting.
“Hey, um… you need any help cleaning up?”
“You cleaning?” She repeated surprised. “I’ll believe it when I see it.”
“Well then you better believe it.” He picked up the peice of chocolate that had fallen to the floor, and threw it away. He then turned to her and helped her up.
“Well, well! You are making improvements. Consider me impressed!” She teased.
“Ugh! Get a room you two!”
The angel and the demon turned there heads to see Lydia at the bottom of the stairs. It was only then that they realized they were still holding each other’s hands.
“W-wait! Uh! This isn’t-” Beej stammered.
“We can’t um… There are rules against-” Saraphina tried.
“Don’t get me wrong she’s gorgeous, but I was just helping her up!” The demon finally stated.
Lydia leaned on the railing looking between the two, then stood up, expressionless.
“Sure… Just do me a favor and don’t distract eachother if another roof incident happens.”
