Meet Saraya: she was experiencing a mental health crisis. Police came and tackled her. She is 15.

Saraya Rees is a 15 year old biracial girl from Coos County, Oregon. After being abruptly instructed to stop taking her antidepressants by a local pediatrician, Saraya went into psychosis. In her manic state, Saraya poured a small amount of gasoline on the floor. Her parents called Coos Health & Wellness in hope that that would send mental health advisors, Coos Health & Wellness sent the police. While still in psychosis, the officers arrested her, questioned her without her family or lawyers present, charged with attempted murder and assault, and sent her to juvenile prison for 11 years.

ELEVEN.YEARS.

This is not justice.

This is inhumane.

Hey, do you ever wonder how many people in the fandom actually ship Harrison X Nikki? (Is there even a name for that ship?) I mean, my only favourite ship in the fandom is and always will be Nerrison, but I will admit, the idea of him getting together with Nikki has started to grow on me, just a little bit.😋 I can see her as being like the rambunctious, playful little sister-type girlfriend... if that makes any sense? Idk. I was just wondering if anybody else has thought of this.

Oh yeah! I don’t think about it a lot, but I really do love the character dynamic they already have in the show! Like, it looks like Harrison’s being a big brother to younger campers, like space kid. He just naturally does this (Maybe it has to do with losing his own brother?). But definitely he and Nikki would make one adorable and chaotic duo imo! Personally I’m more into lesbian Nikki and Ered shenanigans

For those who don’t know: 

Tom Ruegger is the original creator of Animaniacs.
He’s the guy you have to thank for the iconic characters Yakko, Wakko, and Dot (for whom the primary inspiration was his own three sons.) Among many others, including the equally popular Pinky and the Brain. 
He was also an involved writer/lyricist for the show and played a huge part in coming up with new song & story ideas.

Yet despite all of this, Tom was never asked back for the 2020 reboot.
In fact, he wasn’t even aware that a reboot was in production until it was announced to the public. Although Tom has expressed plenty of interest in being involved in the reboot, WB/Hulu has repeatedly turned him away.

Tom’s oldest son, Nate Ruegger (voice of Skippy Squirrel,) has spoken out about this on his twitter: 

“the naked greed on display here to reboot a series without involving any of the original creative team so they can make *more* money, & then joke about it, is gross.” (x)

And he’s absolutely right.
Outside of the main voice cast, none of the original team was consulted for the reboot. Tom was/is an integral part of Animaniacs. Without him, the show would never have existed, let alone become a cultural phenomenon. It doesn’t seem right for him to be cut out of the revival of a show that he is largely responsible for bringing to life in the first place.

The mistreatment and blatant disrespect of creators by big-name companies is something I’ve seen way too much of lately, and even though this is far from the first time, that doesn’t make the practice in anyway right or okay.

I’ve seen petitions for this going around, but they rarely gain enough traction, so I’m taking a more direct approach:

I’m asking fans of the series - new & old alike, regardless of your opinion on the reboot itself - to please reblog this.
Or, simply spread the hashtag #BringBackTomRuegger somewhere on your social media.

So that we can let the new showrunners know that we, the fans, want to see Tom brought back for future seasons!!!

I’m not asking for a full rewrite, I just want the man who created these characters to have some say in what happens to them, as he should. Please share to show support, if you agree!

So according to your Instagram posts your headcanon for Preston is that he's half Mexican. Hmm... that's, interesting, to say the least, definitely unique to other headcanons I've seen. Personally I do prefer the idea of him being half French and being fluent in that language a bit more (because that just seems more fitting for his character imo) (don't remember who made that headcanon though), but to each their own I suppose. 🙂 (ps. I really like your art! Can't wait to see your film!! 🤗❤)

It’s more of a preference rather than a headcanonon. I just feel like the flirtatious, romantic, charming Spanish-speaking kind of guy fits my own re-design of him as an adult, because it’s convenient for his personality and the project itself. I actually headcanon the original version of him to be either half British or French too! However my version of him is a whole different story.

Of course that she goes to conventions cosplaying as an elf and standing up for black-skinned elves. The clothes are from Tauriel who is my favorite elf woman in The Lord of the Rings world (Legolas is my fav)… although I didn’t like The Hobbit trilogy very much.
