What’s with this trope of the light haired boy being in love with the dark haired protagonist
The list can go on eternally if I put my heart into it.
Bonus points if the dark haired boy is oblivious, it’s unrequited or they get a tragic ending
There’s a really good side view breakdown in Bridgman’s Constructive Anatomy book, however I can’t find it! I did my best to emulate what I know.
If you already have the front view down, it’s a simple thing of translating the proportions over to the side view. One thing that helps me construct the body is using boxes to construct the head, ribs, and pelvis. The shoulder usually sits with bias towards the back, unless the person is slouching or their shoulders are raised in tenseness. I would recommend studying the bone structure of this if you really want an analytical sense of how it works!

hey when will yall stop losing your minds over bad shows and finally appreciate d gray man for the fucking masterpiece it is like its been my favorite series for 8 years. it has such a fantastic premise, fantastic characters and the aesthetic of it is …. so fucking cool and engaging. it sucks because it’s a “popular” series but not really on tumblr and it’s not really receiving like… very much attention at all. like it is still ongoing(not like… weekly or anything because the creator is in poor health but! it updates!)& the art is so fucking beautiful and seeing hoshino’s progress with her art style from chapter 1 to chapter 220 is fucking phenomenal - like look at this, she redrew the volume 1 cover 12 years later:
dgm was such a huge part of my growing up like. i flat out cry watching it to this damb day. i cried watching it literally last week. i wish more ppl were into it rn
I’ve been asked many times what someone should look for when trying to find a good artist. The best way you can do this is to look at their portfolio, whether it’s in a book at their shop or online. If they don’t have good work in their portfolio, they’re probably not good artists.
The shop may be clean, the people there might be nice, and the design they draw up for you might be exactly what you want, but if your artist doesn’t stand up to the points listed above, then you’re going to get a bad tattoo.
It’s okay to walk into a shop, talk with an artist for a while, and decide you don’t want a tattoo from them. Even if the artist has a bad attitude about it or tries to convince you to just let them do it, remember this is going to be on your body for the rest of your life.
This is fucking fantastic thank you!!
So important. I had an apprentice tattoo me once without any supervision - wound up with a blurry tattoo, and a messed up tendon for a while after >:(
