you have a whole posts theorizing that yams was forced to make such a “bad” ending based on his publisher’s wishes and not his real wishes. here’s the answer for you: https://griffithoffemto.tumblr.com/post/648180229397954560/hello-retards
yams made the ending that way bc he genuinely wants to. if you dislike it so much, you’re well within your rights to throw the story away and go enjoy another series that fit your ideals more. dont force what you think ought to be on a story that clearly doesnt resonate with you.
Hi! So if you actually did research you would realize that by his legal contract to Kodonsha he is and will never be legally allowed to disclose whether the final chapter was changed, and that his company and editors have the power to make him say “I did not change the manga”.
Am I saying that makes it 100% certain that his ending was changed? No. But my problem is that when I reread the story, everything that leads up to 139 does not line up with the many things he had planned in the first place. And this is a personal opinion.
So don’t act like this is some sort of “win”. If you do research on how many manga authors are treated ESPECIALLY in Kodonsha you’d realize it’s not entirely impossible. His work conditions are pretty horrible and other mangaka who have signed to such contract in previous years have came out and revealed that their work was either rushed or changed.
Believe what you want to believe, but in my opinion, this ending makes no consistent sense with everything that came prior and I stand by that. Thanks!
