I meant to make this before Tangled ended, but procrastination is a cruel demon to contend with

Tangled oneshot based off this

“Varian?” Eugene called into the kid’s lab. When he didn’t get a response he poked his head in to see Varian slumped over on his desk, sleeping peacefully.
He smiled softly and entered the room. He took off his coat and draped it over the teen’s shoulders lightly.
“Long day?” He asked even though he knew Varian wouldn’t respond. He put a gentle hand on Varian’s head for a second before removing his goggles from his hands and placing them to the side. “I’ll see you when you wake up. I love you, Varian.”
Eugene silently left the room, closing the door softly so as not to wake him up.
