Well, I guess Tumblr is self destructing or something. I am very bad at keeping up with Tumblr in general, just because I have trouble keeping up with multiple sites. I’m most active on:
I also have a Patreon!
Money is really tight this month and I’m stressing hardcore. I’m open for quick commissions!
I’m taking a day off
from costume work tomorrow and I’ll be working solely on art, so these
will be done quickly. Please message me if you’d like one! I’ll draw anything
except Creative Engineering characters.
Billy Bob! He was recently performing with Deadpool at SDCC! I painted his mask.
Mitzi mask I painted for Creative Engineering. This mask is installed on the Mitzi at the Rock-afire bar in Kansas City. Please disregard her dirty and slightly off-center eyes.
I’m a bit short on my bills for this month due to things out of my control, so I’m open for $10 sketches. I can color them (like the colored examples) for an extra $5!
You can message me here or at thejollyollyman (at) yahoo (dot) com if you’d like one. I’m working on them right now!
I’ve located and contacted the company that built the Sundae costume for The Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald to see if they have photos of the costume in production or if the original molds still exist. Here’s to hoping they take my message seriously and get back to me!
I have enough to restore him, but having some high quality photos or new parts would be super helpful. His original animatronic head is gone, but I have a paint test mask from the original mold. It looks like they were doing a fur transfer test on it, hence why it’s only partially furred. The only other thing missing is his tail, which was also animatronic. I have a set of unfurred ears and all sets of paws that were used for different shots, and the fur to extend his neck in shots where he was sitting up.
Just wanted to let you guys know that I also have a Hey Arnold based blog and I’ll be posting a bunch of art there in the next few days.
Completely self taught! I just experiment with things, look at tutorials, and just study what other people do and how they do it, then apply that to my work.
Today was my 27th birthday. After 14 years, I finally got to meet the U-Pick Live cow! <3
Just Cow….thinking about cow things.
Me and my ice cream man <3
Mitzi mask I airbrushed for Creative Engineering. This is for the show
going into the Kansas City ‘Rock-afire’ bar. I only painted the Mitzi
mask for this show, the others were done by Aaron’s assistant Tim.
Bear head I made recently!
Purple dog head I made recently.
Some photos of Roxanne Rose in the 80′s compared to now (first photo on the right). The vintage photos are of my actual Roxanne. They were all numbered on their body shells with their show number and my Roxanne (and Country Cal) is from the 2nd show built.
I unfortunately lost access to my restoration blog for this show, and I plan to make another when I can, but I’ve been mainly posting updates to Instagram. I’ve since removed Roxanne’s face shell so that I can airbrush her eyelids and re-sculpt her face. Other than needing a face, pants and tail, she’s in incredible condition and the best of all 3 characters.
Whenever I post the top photo people always comment on how bad of a condition she’s in when that’s not true at all. She’s mechanically complete and clean and the only actual wear/damage on her is her eyelid paint fading and a couple of cracks in her leg shell and base of her microphone. Her tail and pants were removed by the previous owner and lost and will have to be re-fabricated.
But still, I love this little fox dearly and I’m excited to finish restoring her.
Me and the mask to my Uncle Klunk animatronic. I love this character so much. The original version voiced by the wonderful Jeff Howell that is, not the horrible piece of crap that Showbiz pushed out.
I just returned from a trip to Oregon and Washington. My main objective was visiting Bullwinkle’s Family Restaurant, two of the last 3 remaining and the only two left with the
animatronic show. I visited the Wilsonville, OR location for the first time in 2016 and never
thought I’d return so I’m very pleased to see them again.
They weren’t working near as well as they should and a few movements weren’t working at all, but I was so happy to see them!!
I recently received my Jolly Olly Man plush from Budsies!
I ordered this plush on Dec 26th using gift cards my family gave me for Christmas. I can’t remember the exact cost of the plush but it was around $200. He’s around 30" tall and suuuuper soft. I think they captured his likeness very well and they didn’t miss any details! I’m super duper happy with him. <3
Custom friend in progress. His ears aren’t sewn on yet. I got some blank eye chips I wanted to test out, so I designed the eyes in Photoshop. Considering putting him up for sale when he’s done.
I brought the U-Pick Live cow out for Halloween and we had a blast!
FOR SALE! It’s a little fox! This is an older head of mine. Foam &
balaclava base with hand airbrushed sewn fleece and sewn fur. Will fit
head sizes up to 24". Asking $500 or best offer. No holds or trades
please. I can’t do payment plans at this time unfortunately. Message me
Fursuit head commission for MonsterDogMayhem! This head was built on one of my expanding foam bases. :)
Ren Höek Foam Base
I made this a while back for a personal suit, but decided to go a different route with the head.
Made of hollow foam and comes with two unattached eyebrows and ears. The
mouth is held open in the photos, so you’ll have to reinforce it to
stay open (some EVA foam would do the trick). I intended on building up a
bit more foam to shape and smooth the head, but never got around to it,
so it’s being sold as an unfinished base.
Asking $80 + shipping or make an offer!
Commission for my friend Enzo!
Okay I found a spot for my Noid. Hopefully this doesn’t fall off my desk and kill me. I had to use my waste basket to put the head on so when I go to Walmart to get a new one maybe I’ll get some thin string to put around the base of his ears to anchor him to the wall so I don’t die a weird hard to explain death-by-Noid.
Edit: It fell off my desk and almost killed me lol. BACK TO STORAGE YOU GO YA MURDERER
Cow and his Reptars! <3
6-Pac wants nothing to do with this.
Goal: Make this suit wearable for LA Comic Con. I highly doubt it will happen, but we’ll see.
Some scans from my insanely rare, long out of print, Clockwork Knight
picture book that was only released in Japan. For anyone who remotely
appreciates this game and characters as much as I do!
