Hi everyone! Here’s a nice list of GW2 Character UQuizzes I could find! If you make one or I’ve just missed it let me know and I’ll add it on! Or you can reblog it with a link to yours! I’m also only human so don’t be upset if its not on here (I’m also not going to be super strict in updating this its just for a bit of fun!) and these aren’t in any order or anything!
She absolutely does, when Kito shows up, this conversation happens :
Sayida the Sly: You always have invisible people following you around, Commander
<Character name>: Probably more than I realize.
But in my story Krystha has agents she trusts following Anise as much as they can, she befriended Lady Faraah as well for that and keeps a nice friendship with the Queen.
Manipulation and collecting informations goes both ways. There’s almost no trust, small respect, it’s a complicated relationship. I mean, calling someone “pet” wasn’t a good start at all in Krystha’s book.
Anise definitely has enough background informations and present informations to remove/tarnish the reputation of the Commander I do agree!
She has the Commander under a sworn sacred oath. That can bring death.
It’s just hit me how much Countess Anise knows about the Commander, like, just from the trails - she saw our greatest fears, our insecurities, everything.
Like, even if Anise isnt playing a long game with us, she now knows alot more about the Commander than they’d be comfortable - and she essentially has a way to remove the Commander if need be… that’s terrifying
She’s scary, powerful, high ranked and she knows that. She’s an interesting character to think about when you write about your character (mostly human character)!!
Yes!!! And god you’re so right! Depending on your Commanders background, you might not come from noble origins, which could be used to vilify or make your Commander an underdog success story depending on what Tyria needs to see, and if the countess decides it, she could probably destroy our reputation practically overnight!
On one hand, she needs us on enough of a leash or trust to work with us when issues arise - but unlike Trahearne, theres no trust or bond there - like you said, if goes both ways
Canach: Don’t misunderstand, Countess—I’m certainly grateful to you for purchasing my billet and putting me to work.
Canach: I’m just not sure I understand the reasoning behind dragging me to this soirée of yours.
Countess Anise: Mm?
Canach: (frustrated sigh)
Mordremoth: We are the same. Let your mind merge with mine.
Commander: I can’t… make it. It’s so close now. I… I can’t concentrate, can’t think…
Canach: You’re stronger than this, Commander! Focus your mind! Reject the dragon!
Canach: Here! I see another tear in the mindscape. Come! I can help you like you helped me.
Commander: I… I think it worked. My head is clear again.
Commander: That. Hurt. But I’d rather be pained than enslaved. Thank you.
Canach: I’m just glad I could return the favor.
so i’ve read all three prequel books and will be rereading them, taking notes and posting them here for your chortling pleasure because there’s a lot of fun stuff in them, but it is essential to me— ESSENTIAL— that you understand that my next statement is the absolute truth
in the destiny’s edge book, when the group are training for orr, they teach rytlock (who is established to weigh a literal half ton) how to swim by tying a rope around his waist and dragging him behind the boat, then fishing him out of the ocean. the rope pulls him out ass first. the thing that really pushes him to learn how to swim is because the crew of the boats all stop what they’re doing, walk to the edge and laugh at his soggy cat ass. if you’re playing the game, be it replaying the vanilla story, heart of thorns, path of fire, icebrood, know that you can look at him and say, in total accuracy, ‘pirates gathered to laugh at your asshole’
Some griffons headcanons:
-Due to intense huntings from noblemen and women, the griffon were almost driven to extinction, and this excessive hunting led them to nest in isolated and high places
-While the majority of griffons that can be tamed are from Elona, many species developed throughout Tyria, and you usually can recognize their birth place/race by looking at their colors and physiology.
-Small griffons usually feed on rabbits, while the biggest will hunt sheep, dogs… Needless to say they are considered a flail to many shepherds.
-Little griffons hatchlings are born without feathers, much alike birds. They are raised by both parents, and take aloose two years to leave the nest.
-Griffon’s wings are extremely big, and they can have difficulties moving when they’re on the ground
-Griffons are like cats: they are very independent, and will usually not let everyone on their back: they have a strong bond with their rider and share it until death.
They can also bring gifts to their owner, like prey they hunted, branch..
-Saddle are usually extremely light, mostly crafted in leather, and are made to not bother the wings.
-Riding a griffon is extremely difficult and deadly. They are extremely fast, and the saddle have very little room to hold to.
-When riding high in the sky or diving, breathing can be difficult. Thus many people usually mount with special equipment to breath.
@the-mystic-dragon tbh this hc come from the name of the skins, but I have a hell lot of ideas
Maguuma griffons would mostly have greens tons to blend into the jungle, or maybe very colorful feathers like parrots. Maybe even nesting in the branch of the pale tree!
Griffons leaving near the coasts, eating fish, crab, pestering the fishermen… they’d also have colorful feathers, and would nest on the sand
Griffons from the shiverpeaks have floof! To protect themselves from the cold and blend in the white landscapes! Norn consider them a reincarnation of the griffon spirit and consider a blasphemy to hunt them, and they roam freely into norn colony. They usually nest near them as they get free food
Griffons who lives in places where there is little trees or place to hide are entirely depending on speed, thus they’re built thinner, longer, and with a large beak. They would apply the hunting strategy of the falcons. Or maybe they hunt by night, so their colors are more dark to move without being seen into the night
Krytan griffons also have a bit of floof, to protect themselves from the rain. They evolved along the humans and mostly feed on the sheep, the cultivated field.. they’re considered a flail by some, but many people love them, as they’re also very playful
Or even ley line modified griffons! They’d probably hunt in pack, causing storm around their preys to confuse them, or lead them where they want em to be. They might the most dangerous of griffons
There’s a lot of room for imagination so there’s my main thoughts on griffons!
I wonder how the Nightmare Court dealt with being right?
“We Sylvari are not what the pale tree tells us to be. We are meant to hurt and hate.”
And they were. They were meant to hurt and hate and kill. And they were meant to do this through the subjugation of their free will. The Sylvari’s original purpose in life was to be weapons. Extensions of Mordremoth’s will and nothing more. Must be pretty fucked to learn that the thing they thought was controlling them was the only thing giving them free will.

Found these two at Caer Shadowfain in the Cursed Shore, and enjoyed the ambient convo about how much of a badass Caithe is, so I figured I’d share.
Edmund’s (100% Canonical) First Day in the Vigil
Once again I have remembered a random vine/meme and felt the need to Draw It.
Also character fact I’ve been debating for awhile; Edmund is bad at swimming and doesn’t care for deep water.
Nothing special. Just been thinking about that final fight with Zhaitan since I just got my *checks* Twelfth character past it and onto HoT/PoF
A little while ago, the size of the Elder Dragons was brought up in a group I post in. There was a lot of debate, but we all bascially agreed that Zhaitan was clearly the smallest of them, which we all thought was weird. At least, till someone pointed out that at that point in the game’s growth, with the map limitations and other such things, Zhaitan was the biggest boss they’d fielded. So big in fact, you couldn’t fight him directly, but had to basically just survive until the automated systems took him down to the point where you COULD hurt him.
Somewhere in that conversation, I tossed up an idea that a few latched onto. We’ve all seen the in-game movies with a fully-dragon-looking Zhaitan on top of mountains in Orr, right? And we all know that he only looked that way because they hadn’t fully committed to a final design for him until WAY late in the vanilla campaign, so they only showed pieces of him, like his primary head (with its lower jaw attached). But we all know that when you finally face him, he looks like the pics above: a mismatched, unwieldy, barely aloft mess of decaying body parts. So this is where my theory came into play.
GW2 advice for getting the hidden Olmakhan charr horns!
It’s all done with only ONE total makeover kit (350 gems) so don’t worry about needing two, it’s just the switch that does the trick!
Have fun and make lots of Olmakhan charr, we love them!

shoutout to all my content creator friends here in the tungle jungle: The first five tags on a post are the search tags. For max exposure on your work, fill all 5 with relevant popular tags because those will be the only ones that matter in terms of being seen by anything other than the follower-to-follower train.
Anything else you tag it with past number 5 will not make it appear in that tag’s search results. Use those 5 tags wisely.
Alternatively, if you want something to NOT be searchable at all? use ridiculous and not-search-worthy tags in those 5 slots so that nobody who reblogs that gets to make it searchable.
reminding everyone again bc its important to know about how this website works and i cry when i see people waste their search tags on whispers (or duplicates/variations) and put the ones meant to make it searchable after!
