look i don’t know how reliable a source of information this website is but the idea that you can easily get rid of vampires in your home just by telling them they’re not welcome anymore is extremely funny to me
if a vampire came into my house and tried to drain my blood. well i would simply say no thank you.
unless the vampire is hot of course, in which case feel free to make yourself at home
I remember asking about this question once and someone told me that in True Blood if you rescind an invitation the vampire is “forcibly removed” from your house (or words to that effect)
and I have to admit I expected something much more violent than this, but somehow that would’ve been less dramatic? like if he was flung backward through the door it would’ve looked pretty cool but the DRAMA here is 10 times as fucking ridiculous
Human: *rescinds their invitation*
Vampire: I am forcibly removed from the house
In my head, as he’s sliding towards the doorway, I imagine he’s making the same noise as when you drag a chair across the floor
People are finally starting to realize how fucked up that card system in elementary school was. It was literally a form of public shame. You’d be publicly humiliated, forced to go up and change your card in front of everyone while they watched, and it be displayed the entire day for everyone to see and judge. A lot of them even had the same name as this one: “How am I doing today?”. It genuinely traumatized a lot of people. The comments of this tweet made me realize how much it fucked up people of my generation when they were kids. Almost every person in the replies is talking about how whenever they had to change their card they’d have panic attacks, burst into tears, and genuinely be afraid. Also, people are telling stories about certain reasons they had to pull a card and the majority of them were extremely fucked up and clearly an abuse of power by the teachers. I really hope schools are no longer doing this.
So April Fools Day is coming up and in light of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) causing a pandemic, I’d just like to say to anyone who’s planning a prank this year:
DO NOT SPREAD FALSE INFORMATION ABOUT COVID-19
DO NOT GO OUT IN PUBLIC AND PRETEND TO HAVE COVID-19
DO NOT POST ABOUT FALSE “CURES” FOR COVID-19
DO NOT DO ANY PRANKS INVOLVING COVID-19
Remember: Confuse, don’t abuse!
