A lady dimitrescu and daughters drabble
“Daniela, would you please shut up! It won’t work if you’re not quiet”
The youngest sister could barely contain her suffocated laughter as the two clung to the chandelier. The chandelier which hung just directly above the grand staircase that lead to the entrance of the castle. Though even the girls weren’t entirely sure how they got up there all by themselves.
“Okay okay, no need to be so mean. Bela, go get mother, we’re ready” Daniela said, her smirk wide and threatening as it revealed her bloodied teeth. Bela down below on the ground, much to her delight, nodded and returned the mischievous smile before running up the stairs.
Daniela continued to giggle while Cassandra tried to surpress her smile as the two continued to cutch onto the chain that attached the light to the stone roof.
“How long until mother is here?” Daniela whispered excitedly only for Cassandra to roll her eyes. “If Bela tells her you got stuck in the snow again then she’ll probably walk really slowly just to teach you a lesson”
“That was one time!”
“No need to fret, dear sister, I’ll make sure to get you a warm coat this year” Cassandra teased, making Daniela punching her sister light before the two descended into a fit a silent giggles.
“Hurry, mother, who knows how long she’s been out there!”
“For goodness sakes, Bela, of all things you disturb me once again because your sister is incapable of staying in doors”
Cassandra and Daniela were immediately silenced and watched as the rim of their mother’s hat came into view as well as Bela not long after. They caught Bela’s gaze for a moment as Alcina was about to reach for the grand doors that lead outside.
Then they pounced. Deciding like a flock of bird onto their mother who grunted slightly as if the sudden impact had barely affected her. Daniela hands immediately went for her mother’s eyes, unaware of the small smirk that clung to Alcina’s painted lips.
“Mother is blinded! Hurry!”
With a quick swipe, Cassandra snatched the hat right off of the lady’s head and the trio immediately set off in a flurry of insects and bats.
“You better pray that I do not find you three or you have hell to pay, my dears!”
The girls giggled as they ran through the halls with only the occasional thump of their mother’s steps to keep them moving forward. “We should hide in mother’s bedroom! She’ll never expect it” Bela said, qlancing back to see if Alcina had already caught up to them.
“Let’s get in there quickly” Cassandra added, immediately opening the door before trying to as silently a possible close it without alerting Alcina.
Daniela immediately darted to crawl under the bed.
Bela wrapped herself behind the curtain.
Cassandra dove into a wardrobe.
The girls were in a fit of quiet laugher as the silence continued to ring on for the next few minutes until the sound a the door cracking open filled the room and the girls could’ve sworn they heard the fabric of their mother’s dress caress the carpet.
“Now where could they be? I have looked ALL over the castle and it seems that my daughters are impossible to find. Alas it seems I must admit defeat that is unless….”
Daniela had to cup her mouth to stop her laughter from sputtering out as she watched Alcina rip open the wardrobe and tear Cassandra out as the girl screamed in joy and excitement.
For a moment, Cassandra wrestled in Alcina’s arms only to submit and alcina to swiftly put but on the hat that Cassandra had so rudely taken.
“Now, my daughter, where are the rest of your sisters?”
“Vengence!” Daniela screeched as she dove out from under the bed and latched herself around Alcina’s legs.
Almost immediately Bela jumped out from her hiding space and launched herself into the stomach of her mother. Even alcina seemed surpsied as her gripped legs slipped out from under her and she found herself toppled to the ground.
The lady soon found herself crushed beneath three girls, all cheering in victory as he hat was once again taken as their trophy.
“Well played, girls, well played”
