❤️ Three ships: Chelsie (Downton Abbey), Stellaride (Chicago Fire), Hope and Doc (Virgin River - there seems to be no fandom here so IDEK what the ship name would be)
🎶 Last song listened to: Sabotage, from the Downton Abbey film score
📺 Last show watched: The Crown (S2 Ep 3 - I KNOW, I AM BEHIND)
📖 Last book read: “Rebecca,” DuMaurier. A long overdue reread.
Phyllis is now in the final. Let’s try and help her win! 😊
She’s only got 12% compared to Outlander guy at 46%… so Phyllis Tribe needs to unite!
Ughhh I miss it. I miss this trip. I miss seeing my people. I miss having adventures.
Experience the Earthly Pleasures of Teniers’ 17th-Century Wine Harvest
Hear the voice of Downton Abbey star Jim Carter bring to life David Teniers’ monumental depiction of a 17th-century wine harvest. Immerse yourself in Teniers’ unrivalled talent for storytelling as we see grape harvesters unloading their bounty, coopers fixing up wine barrels, a wine merchant sealing a deal, and worse for wear villagers raising their glasses to the temple of Bacchus. Unseen in over a century, ‘The Wine Harvest’ is the finest work by Teniers to come to market in living memory.
David Teniers the Younger or David Teniers II was a Flemish Baroque painter, printmaker, draughtsman, miniaturist painter, staffage painter, copyist and art curator. He was an extremely versatile artist known for his prolific output.

Oh my god this is a painting
Guys its a painting
GUYS THIS IS A PAINTING
Me: This is not a painting at all I don’t believe it even though everyone is saying it and the artist themselves said it
*clicks for better quality and zooms in*
Oh my goodness this is a painting
With all this Bert+Ernie debating, now seems like a very good time for me to point out the REAL iconic gay couple of the Muppetverse we’ve all been ignoring for YEARS
Shit guys I always thought Statler and Waldorf were brothers but I just went online and no they aren’t but Waldorf is married to this muppet Astoria and guys you’ll never believe this
Astoria is Statler in a fucking dress…
I think we’ve stumbled onto a real conspiracy here folks.
As this just came back up on my dash, I just want to remind everyone there “older gentlemen who have reserved seats at the theatre they go to every week just to be catty bitches” doesn’t have a heterosexual explanation.

Does anyone ever wonder what a S1 Christmas Special would have been like?
We could have had:
- Thomas in the trenches during the Christmas armistice, maybe playing some football with German solidiers
- Matthew deciding to sign up for the war, seeing as it wasn’t going to be over as quickly as people thought. Maybe meeting Lavinia right before he ships out
- Tearful goodbye between Isobel and Matthew
- Matthew writing Mary a letter about joining up nd it being the first contact from him since the garden party and there being angst
- Maybe something with Robert and Cora actually dealing with the miscarriage
- Sybil getting caught up in some benefit/donation group for the war effort and dragging Edith along (who’s still in a funk from the whole Strallen thing)
- Comedic subplot where O’Brien tries to find the perfect Christmas gift for Thomas while acting like she doesn’t care at all. Somehow Mrs. Patmore gets roped in even though they don’t work well together At All
- Carson harrumphing about things being different this year but also getting a cute Christmas Eve sherry moment with Mrs. Hughes
- The Servants Ball, maybe with William trying to ask Daisy to dance and not being able to spit it out for half the night (he does eventually get there though)
- Thomas getting O’Brien’s gift and it either being completely wrong (but still secretly appreciated bc someone cares) or somehow perfect
There’s lots of other potential plotlines, but those were the ones that I could come up with
Will Smith went to London and dressed up as a Boots sales assistant to promote Jaden’s new water brand ….. what dimension are we living in
“Brand of water” look at our society, we need a good old fashioned culling.
The kid is just doing what he wants to better the world. He started a brand of bottled water that’s better for the environment and is responsibly sourcing everything from the bottle to the water. They’ve gone as far to work with a specific city and only bottle excess water and pay the city more than its actually worth so their water infrastructure can be improved. He’s also donating water to Flint until the lead levels are actually at safe levels because the government decided they don’t want to anymore.
If you’re gonna try to complain about a celebrity doing something at least be educated on what they’re actually doing first
Do this four times repeatedly and you’ll be out. But how does it work? There’s some real brain science behind it.
We’re trying this tonight!
It’s about time someone got around to uncovering all the cheat codes for this “human being” software. It’s only been out for like 10,000 years.
I’ve used this technique for about a year, and I can safely say that it has efficiently transformed my sleeping habits from several hours of struggle to fall asleep, to passing out in a matter of minutes.
It’s a form of Alexander Technique. It’s a technique that was designed for actors to keep their body in ready working condition and give it the best way to perform. This is the method used to calm, and center the body. Once the body is at that point it can perform anything you want it to.
Reblogging for later reference after I tried it earlier today to try to calm down. It actually does help a lot, not just for sleep but if you have problems with anxiety.
My default mental setting is “vibrating intensely in the background.” After doing this, I felt noticeably calm and relaxed - I wasn’t as fixated on my breathing, I wasn’t tense, my movements weren’t jerky and I didn’t feel like I had to be as tense as possible to be under control. 10/10 would recommend.
me gonna try it
dont wanna reblog but insomnia is a bitch for some ppl so heres for my mutuals having trouble sleeping.
Pro Tip: If you hate going to the doctor or show up stressed, do this or box breathing before they take your blood pressure.
