To See You Again

“Armin.”

The blonde looked up from his book to see Annie leaning against the doorframe. He came down to the lower deck of the ship since everyone was a little loud on their way towards Eren. Everything has been hectic so a little peace and quiet was what Armin was looking for.

“Hey, Annie.” He looked at the expression on her face, there was a small glimpse of sadness. “Everything okay?”

A small smirk graced her lips in amusement, “Odd choices of words.”

He chuckled in response. Her stance changed before taking a step forward, “Come sit.” He scooted over on the cot to make some room.

Annie walked over and sat beside him, trying to shake off whatever jitters she had.

There was a small silence between them. Not either one of them speaking until it felt comfortable to talk.

“I’m sorry to hear about everyone that was lost.”

Armin looked over at her in surprise. Something he did not expect.

“You know,” Annie glanced down at the floor, “I was thinking about what you said earlier…”

Her gaze shifted towards him with a glint of hope, “Did you mean it?”

He suddenly become very red at the bold question. Considering that she was talking about his ‘kind of’ confession earlier today. Armin realized that when he saw her after so many years, he didn’t want to lose her again.

The blonde smiled a bit, “I never go back on my words Annie. I meant it. I wanted a chance to see you again…” He hesitated since this was the time to confess. “I care about you, a lot Annie and… I hope you can let me have the chance.”

Annie’s cheeks were the pink hue of bashfulness that she never thought about feeling. She quickly looked away from his gaze before speaking, “I wanted to see you too.”

He was about to speak before she interrupted him, “I gave it a lot of thought before I realized how I felt too. I want to keep the promise to see my father but, I also realized that I didn’t want to leave you behind either.”

Armin’s heart never felt so full at this moment. He looked down at the hands in her lap before gently grabbing one in his. His touch made her relax, “Thank you for letting me in Annie. I never want to leave your side.” He brought her hand up to his lips and lightly kissed it.

The action was so enduring that Annie felt her heart soften a bit. ‘Was this Armin turning me into the good person he thought i was?’ He changed so much from when she last saw him, grown.

Armin rubbed her hand and admired the beauty before him. All that time in the crystal froze her but seeing the redness on her face right now assured him that this wasn’t a dream. She was alive and breathing in front of him. The first time he actually got to see her.

Both of their faces were blushed when a loud knock was at the door. “Hey!”

They jumped at the sudden outburst and seen Mikasa standing there with an amused face. “Time to dock.”

Annie sat up first and gave his hand a squeeze before walking past Mikasa. The blondes face held no expression when meeting her gaze.

Armin cleared his throat, “We better get going then.” He was stopped in his tracks by his friends hand, “Are you-“

His sentence was cut off her arms reaching around him. The hug was unexpected but he returned it back with as much love. Mikasa was always considerate and gentle when it comes to Armin.

“I’m happy for you Armin.” She pulled away, “You deserve every bit of love there is in this world.”

“Thank you, Mikasa.” He smiled, “Now let’s go kick some sense into Eren’s ass.”

These past weeks I have read the theory that Annie might have given Armin her ring. I have been investigating and I have come to the following conclusion:

She does have her ring during the confession chapter (131) 

However, after the confession chapter, the theory begins to take shape. Annie (she wears her ring in her right index finger) does not have the ring in chapter 133, right after the confession:

But Armin doesn’t either:

There’s definitely something fishy going on here (isa loves to torture us) but I personally believe in this theory and it will most likely come true. Although, I doubt how Armin will pull out the ring, wherever it is, and use it. 

There is enough proof that she gave it to him, so 

we can say she f*cking proposed to him omg. 

Can’t wait for the memes if this happens

First, I want to apologise for not answering your question for a long time (i was quite busy)

Just to make sure, are you asking me to make AMV with that song (because I sometimes make yt videos about aruani)?

If that’s the case I still don’t have the experience to make AMVs (never tried it) but maybe someday I will! Just not right now.

Btw there is already an aruani AMV with that ending song (i can send you a link if you want to see it)
