For now on I won’t post any messages that sound like bait that have to do with whismical. I’m sorry to anybody who sends in a message that I refuse to post that isn’t whismical. But if she wants to say I’ll get sued for libel I’m not going to let her send in messages about herself.
I’m not trying to be catty but she couldn’t even afford a consultation with a lawyer that works libel and slander. These guys represent big businesses and the money she would be “due” (which is none but let’s say she actually had a case) would be, what, the price of a few necklaces? That wouldn’t even cover the cost of paperwork.
Not only that, but she’d have to prove in court that
1. Statements made are unequivocally false. That all of her jewelry is hypoallergenic, including the shit she’s already sold
2. These false statements directly contributed to lost income. Not her internet behavior, which could easily get her case thrown out of court (all the shit talking she’s done under her name about ember?), not her having shady products that 100 other online stores also have, and not her false advertisement.
Plus she lives with a crazy abusive nutcase because she can’t afford to live on her own. In a place with some of the lowest housing costs in the county. Just sayin.
^^^^ all of that! Idk much about suing people or American law, but wouldn’t she also sort of have to prove that all the anons published on your blog were basically self-submits from you, EPC (obvs they aren’t but) because otherwise I mean, they are your opinions your publishing so how can she do you for libel? Like you aren’t the one saying any of this stuff, you’re just providing a non-commercial platform for people to submit their thoughts. That would be like if you got a mean anon on ask.fm and decided to sue ask.fm themselves for you getting a mean message. Idgi. I think threatening to sue someone over e-drama has to be the lowest, lamest move you can make.
