“So much to do, so much to do,” Mei mumbled to herself as she zipped around the kitchen early in the morning and gathered all she needed to make tons and tons of mooncake for the mid-Autumn festival. She really should have started earlier, but she’d lost track of time.
“Alright,” she sighed lightly, dropping the last ingredient on the counter with the rest. “That’s all of it, so…” Her eyes calculated how many she could make with what she had, and how long it would take alone. She would also need time to make the lanterns later… Maybe she could call a few birds to help? Or mice. Mice seemed good at folding things…
As the young woman stood there planning, she didn’t notice somebody walk in behind her.
Mid Autumn or Mooncake Festival @ Chinatown - 24 August till 21 Sept 2014
Chinatown - North Bridge Road, South Bridge Road and Eu Tong Sen Street was aglow with colourful lanterns and lights to usher in the annual Mooncake Festival. Mooncakes and pomeloes are everywhere.

"I say just do it. No one will mind, I know it,” she insisted, giving a thumbs up. Really, no one would miss one room out of a million! “Well, people are kind, but of course there are fights and things, it’s only human. There hasn’t been anything big, though, so that’s good. And there’s events that the castle itself makes so it’s easier to bond!”
Stepping into the vast hall, she looked both ways in an attempt to orient herself. From here , the first two cool things that aren’t drawing or sitting rooms would be… “If we go down that way, then the first thing that we’ll come across is the music room, but if we go this way, we’ll see the swimming pool first. Which way would you like to go?” Maybe on the way they could finally find the dungeon she’d been hearing about. She’d always wanted to see it out of curiosity. Or maybe they could find a way up to the roof. Just think of the view from up there…
