Victim blaming means blaming the victim of something for getting themselves in the situation. Like, in an extreme but common example, blaming a woman for getting raped because the way she was dressed means she was "asking for it." It's really scummy and hurtful.
I did not mean to come off that way when I asked, but I did vaguely remember seeing a screenshot of yours or someone's IGN being something like that, and it being the internet, people think that if you've got a memey and/or sexual like "malewife" or "KaeyaBottoms" or something, that means you automatically consent to any weird interaction, which is NOT HOW IT WORKS, INTERNET WEIRDOS
OHHH i understand now!! thanks for explaining it to me
also do you mean the post i made bc of that one person who got very weird with me bc they thought i am purely a childe main? bc ahh well if yes, they didnt get weird bc of my name or something since this happened on europe and yeah, im just called “Hopeless” there. basically, since i use childes avatar on europe, that person added me bc of that. bc apparently, they were a huge childe fan and welp, got super weirdly (almost flirty even) euphoric in private chat bc the first thing they asked/said was if i am a childe main and how ~strong~ i must be.
(funnily, after i explained them that childe is one of my mains since i also mainly play zhongli, the entire mood changed bc apparently they were looking for purely childe mains or smth idk, honestly. they made me feel super uncomfortable and later, like they were passively insulting me or smth)
but!! i totally get what you mean with the names. and youre absolutely right. having a name like that is not an invitation/consent for uncomfortable weird creepy conversations. i would also like to say that includes your main characters too. maining a character you absolutely like is not an invitation for getting weird with the player bc the player is not the character. hope people understand how i mean that aa
