“I’ve been watching old clips from the Martha Stewart show, she says roasting is probably the best. I mean truly the important thing is that I don’t under cook the bloody thing so that we don’t spend Thanksgiving in the hospital with worms. I know how to make mash potatoes and gravy and I think I can figure out how to make dressing. Come on we’ve been married for how many years now? I think we handle a Thanksgiving. I make Christmas dinner how hard can this be? So when you come home tomorrow, grocery store, spending time with the kids and then bath time with your wife?”
“There’s a big difference in watching others cook and following through yourself. Just don’t burn the house down will you. Think I’ll double check the insurance to be on the safe side.”
“You’re such a dick, thankfully you’re a cute dick or I’d be offended. I have been cooking more, poor Jude was so sick of those frozen kids meals he pretty much fed his entire thing to the dogs. So I can’t stick that thing in a drum of oil and deep fry it?”

From her actions he
was tempted as hell to get things started right then and there, but since this
was their first time he wanted room to move around, and the only spot he could
see that happening was the bedroom. Softly he groaned as lips sucked at his flesh,
the start of a bullseye of a bruise already in the process of forming. He led
her toward the bedroom, and once by the door he allowed her lips to linger
before finally opening the door—wasting little time to pull her closer to his
own frame to reconnect their lips for a passion filled lip lock.
Luxe was by nature a big mouth and she wanted to tell him all these things, but she didn’t have a chance to get any words in edge wise, any time she’d open her mouth it was crashed and smothered by his and she found herself not caring about whatever was on her mind, she just wanted to keep this going. She had never met someone who got into her room so quick, she thought maybe she should have slowed things down a little bit, but at the same time, she couldn’t bring herself to. Her arms wrapping over his shoulders keeping herself so painfully close to him.
He was honestly
surprised there weren’t bags under his eyes from the lack of sleep that had occurred
over the last few days. It had nothing to do with the fact that he was on plane
after plane, but for the simple fact he couldn’t get used to sleeping in a bed
without his wife present. “I’ll wear
it to the gym tomorrow.” He reached
for his phone, noticing a voice mail he hadn’t checked from a few hours prior
to him arriving to the house. Since it was from his Mother he went about checking
it, a shake of his head made once he realized what it was about. “My Mom left me a message asking if we
were coming to town for Thanksgiving.” Usually
that was something he was all for happening, but after the fiasco that took place
the year before, Colby wasn’t sure he wanted to head to Iowa for the holiday.
“I want it to smell like you, not stink up our sheets.” She was playing with him of course, her arm brushing into his. The mention of his mother though made her recoil in thought, “Do we have to?” She hated that she was saying that, she truly did but the fact of the matter was she didn’t like how his mother seemed to be so opinionated about Saraya’s children and how she wanted to take Julian from her. Not having Jude around Saraya was completely unacceptable for not just her but Jude. He wasn’t a clingy child in the slightest but comparing the brother and sister Jude was more reserved, and after his mother had yelled at Noir for having her outburst about holiday plans last year she didn’t want to expose Noir to that again, almost knowing that her mother in law would do that again. “I mean, I’ll do whatever you want, but we never get alone time anymore, I was thinking we could have Thanksgiving here — just the four of us.”
“Oh my god, you’re taking their side! I swear it’s like nobody cares about how I feel or the fact that I’ve pretty much come second to my siblings my whole fucking life. I know I needed a game plan, and I swear I had one, but it wasn’t good enough for them. Nothing I do is ever good enough for them!”
“Don’t you dare get an attitude with me girly. I will knock your ass back into next week. This is not about coming in second to your siblings, this is about getting you ready for adulthood. What was your game plan?”

“Lil you haven’t been the easiest person to deal with, it seems like it’s been a war with you and your parents. Both sides said things, but you’ve been a down right bitch to everyone involve. You’ve told her and your father you hate the on a nearly daily basis — because they made you do something that most eighteen years have to do. I promise you’re not being picked on, my kids had the same rules too. And as someone who lived through that time in your parents life it wasn’t fun and it’s not to be used as a weapon Missy.”

There was part of him that wanted to wake the kids up
just for the simple fact that he missed them just as much as he missed his
wife, but he knew once Noir was up there would be no chance in hell she’ll be
sleeping anytime soon. “I missed you
too.” He took a seat on the edge of
the bed taking note in the fact that she had one of his favorite hoodies on. “It’s a good thing I didn’t need that.” He made a motion toward the hoodie
that graced her frame, a smile surfacing afterwards. “Have to admit thought it looks better on you.” Truth be told it was taking everything in him to stay awake at
this point, but the last thing he wanted to do was fall asleep, not this soon
after finally arriving back home.
Sitting up so that she was next to him, her head would rest on his shoulder, she needed to feel him again. On the road the beds where bad and they never felt like the comfortable bed the two had at home but at least he was there, he was always there and she took it for granted, now that he was on the road and she was at home it killed her. “Yeah, you can use it again before you leave so it smells like you again.” The fabric now smelt like a mix of her shampoo and perfume instead of him. She was still tired but at least she’d see him before going to sleep again and she’d get to fall asleep with him as well, which was probably the best part about this.
Saraya was still on the N.XT roster the last time Colby had been
away from his family for this extent of time. So to say he was missing her
would have been an understatement. He found himself counting the hours down as
Raw went on simply because he was that anxious to get back home again.
By the time his plane arrived it was a little after two am and
since he was more than sure his wife wouldn’t be up, he didn’t even bother
sending a text message before leaving the airport to make the short drive home.
When he arrived he was greeted by the sound of the dogs going crazy the second
he slammed the car door. ‘So much for surprising her’ he thought to himself,
with a small shake of his head. He made his way up to the entrance of his home,
not bothering to bring anything in with him but one of his small carry-on bags.
He sat it by the stairs before making his way toward their bedroom, leaning in
to plant a small kiss against his wife’s forehead. “Hey, baby. Didn’t mean to wake you.”
It was some kind of miracle that their children could sleep through the barking dogs, but both of them had had Sooki and Kevin before Noir and Jude came along so they were used to it. She realized she’d fallen asleep and was now kicking herself for it, she’d taken a nap earlier in the day with the kids but it just wasn’t cutting it.
“No don’t be sorry, I wanted to see you.” Saraya said stretching a little bit before forcing herself to sit up, she was wearing Colby’s hoodie the weather finally starting to cool down of course she was not wearing any pants either. “I missed you.” She told him, trying to steal another quick kiss from him, she was telling the truth. Even when Colby had gotten hurt she was given time off to be with him, they were never apart for more then a few days but this was hell, she found herself wondering how she’d made it through back in the beginning of their relationship.
She was fighting sleep now, she wanted to make sure she was awake when her husband came home and she could see him. She’d kept her mouth shut about him coming home on Monday night, not waiting to tell Noir that her Dad would be home when she woke up, knowing then the little girl would be up through most of the night. Julian of course was too little and went to sleep without a fuss.
She flipped through channels on the TV trying to find something that would interest her, at this point it was just background noise, at some point she ended up dozing off with Sooki, Kevin and Ramona all on the bed with her, only being woken up when they jumped off the bed at the sound of a car door slamming.

It was as if a rush of emotions had hit the coach all at once, his gaze out on the field at his team, but his focus completely for the brunette at his side. She was everything, and he truly meant everything, he’d been wanting and needing in his life. At one point he’d been consumed by Lucille, but now, after fifteen years of a failing marriage, it was for Azin that he craved, and felt completely whole around. She was the light at the end of the tunnel, and it felt fucking good to be wanted, and needed, by the opposite sex once again. “I really wanna fuckin’ kiss you right now,” he admitted, completely unashamed. He glanced at the professor out of the corner of his eye, knowing she was smiling, and knowing just how badly she probably craved for the same. “We goin’ to your place tonight?” he questioned, still eye-balling the baseball players, making sure they were still right on track with this practice. “I know we’ve been talkin’ about date night, but what if I come over an’ cook dinner?” he offered up, trying not to smile too wide as he noticed a few of the guys on the team looking in his direction. He quickly waved them on to proceed, knowing he’d need to get back down there in a moment. “I’ll let you think on that, babe,” he nodded, finally making eye contact with his mistress, “you know I love watchin’ you eat.”
With a booming chuckle, the man was standing up and making his way out of the stands and back onto the grass. “Let me know!” he called back to Azin, with a toothy smile, heading over into the baseball field to wind down the rest of the fruitful practice.
Grown up now she knew what she’d made a mistake with her marriage but now she could see a future with Negan and dammit she wanted to chase it. She honestly couldn’t tell you why she was taking so long to decide that, maybe it was because of Lucille she understood you couldn’t through away a decade and a half she knew that but she wanted another woman’s husband so badly and she didn’t care what that made her.
She didn’t respond to him right away, the truth was she wanted to be kissed by him, instead her eyes moved to ground knowing that if she did look at him she would have kissed him right away and then there’d be no stopping them. “I should probably head there anyways, you can meet me there if you want.” She told him, knowing that the kids were looking at them and it did worry her slightly, she didn’t want them getting any ideas, ideas that would have probably been correct. “You’re going to make me fat if you keep cooking for me.” She told him out right as she gathered her books and placed them in her bag. She should have been thankful for the older man actually she might have forgotten to eat half the time if it wasn’t for him and then she’d spend the rest of her night trying to find something easy to actually eat. Which would end up to cheese and crackers or a bowl of cereal. Negan might have been the only man who actually fed her.
With him going back to the boys that’d be her exit, trying not to draw attention to herself she got a bye Professor, from a few of the students and she’d shoot them a smile as she made the walk towards her car. Somewhere between the field and parking lot a text message was text to her lover, something about if he was handling dinner then she was handling dessert. Which of course meant something other then food entirely.
He’d didn’t know how long he’d been standing there, watching from the doorway, his hazel eyes going wide with admiration and also something else entirely. This was the first time, in all of his years, that he’d seen a woman that he so richly desired and was in love with, hold a child – not just a kid, but an infant. The Grimes girl had to be no more than a year and a half at best, and boy was she completely adorable at that. The leader didn’t throw around terms such as cute or precious, unless of course he was using it mockingly, or with disdain, however, upon looking at the wavy headed princess, he couldn’t help but form those thoughts in his ever thinking mind. On top of this child’s beauty, Negan couldn’t seem to take his eyes off of Azin, most of all. They’d of course spoken of family, and reproduction, but now, it was the first time he’d downright ached for it. Something primal within the commander and chief was set off, the synapses within his brain firing on all cylinders. He wanted to create life with the brunette, he wanted to give her this gift, and for her to present him with a healthy baby in return. He’d protect them at all costs, never allow this world to taint the pair of them for the rest of his days on this Goddamn planet.
Downstairs, he’d left Rick to became antsy – now he knew why the man had become flooded with anxiety the moment Negan had taken to the stair case alone. They’d come looking for the rest of the crew, and of course Azin, upon finding them hanging around the Grimes household. He had been told she was upstairs, investigating, yet she’d not returned down in several minutes. The leader of the Saviors had issued a threat to the sheriff before following suit to his lover’s footsteps, wanting him to know that if anything happened to any of his people, someone would most definitely have to die today. The man on the bottom floor had begged him not to go up, which should have been the first warning sign that a hidden treasure lay upstairs just waiting to be found. This child was indeed a treasure, a remarkable one at that, a beckon of hope that most would not understand or even question. Babies surviving in these conditions were rare, but somehow Rick had made it work, he’d kept this little lady safe – there was something admirable about that.
“Who do we have here?” Negan finally spoke, stepping further into the room, his voice booming, a smile on his face as he leaned over Azin’s shoulder to address the tiny child. “I do declare,” he reached out a finger to caress the little one’s cheek, “you are mighty lovely, sweet pea.”
Azin had wiped away the tears from the little girl’s face and found her pacifier and kept her calm as she smoothed over the little girl’s bed head almost laughing at how awful it was. She treated like this girl with a maternal instinct that not a lot of people were allowed to see. She wanted to do more, make sure she wasn’t wet and make sure she had something in her stomach but she stopped herself there, it was not her child and she couldn’t treat her as such.
Long ago Azin had wanted a child and tried for one, twice she was greeted with the results of positive and twice her body had failed her. She had believed that it was her fault, she couldn’t keep a child alive and her ex-husband had felt the same way towards her. She was worthless and that’s why she was once currency for him. Of course these are things she fought not to think about, but that was one her one big regret that she couldn’t be a mother.
Unaware of how long Negan had been staring at her she had been stuck wondering how to deal with this, did she bring the baby outside to be with the rest of the colony or did she just soothe her and put her back into her crib, she didn’t know. When there was finally the sound of his voice she turned as if to present her prize a smile on her face as if it was her own child she was showing him. “She was all alone and she got scared.” She said still holding onto to Judith, talking in almost a baby voice as if to will a smile out of the little one. She did not know that this was Grimes’s daughter of course this wouldn’t have changed how she treated her. She didn’t know that this was Rick’s daughter and that he was downstairs panicking as that might have changed how she allowed this reaction. There was still a part of Rick that scared the woman, she’d seen what him and his group had done and knew that he’d made it this far and that he was not like the others and knew he needed to treated carefully. Hell she saw how Daryl was not breaking and she felt that it spoke for the volumes of that group.
Of course Azin was in awe with the man’s tenderness towards the little one, it had her want one so much more with him but she knew she couldn’t do that no matter how much she tried to wish it. She cradled the back of her head before looking towards her lover, “Do we need to head out soon?” Unaware of what was truly going on, this had been the first house they’d been in and didn’t know how it was going. Of course they were going through their belongings taking what they felt they wanted and this was standard. Her eyes scanned the child’s room she didn’t have much, nothing worth taking, she thought as the little girl reached out to place her hand on Azin’s mouth, causing the older woman to pretend to nibble at her tiny little digits.
