our little rainbow garden has moved and is now adorning either side of the walkway up to the plaza! it’s actually perfectly placed to see in the isalnd flyover which was something that was very important to me in this renovation!

hello friends! i am gonna be taking some time today to show you guys some of the work i’ve been doing on my island! those who follow me may have seen my post where i said i was demolishing a huge, main area of my island and slowly rebuilding it to suit a new vision i have had for it. i have now gotten it to a point where i am starting to be really proud of it and i want to show it off a little bit.
so here you can see my entrance, which is unfinished as i still feel it needs *something*, but for the moment this is what it looks like. as you can see you enter and are immediately led up to a colorful cliff walkway! this walkway goes all the way around this main section of my island and encloses the center plaza, park, and gardens.
i am once again asking for you to let me hold a popsicle
i’ve had bunnie since march; she was my seventh villager (first one after the mandatory campsite move-in) and i found her randomly on a nook miles island. i’d never met her before new horizons but i always thought she was cute. i never realized when i asked her to move in how absolutely attached i would grow to her, to the point where i am confident i will never have another animal crossing town without her in it. she’s currently my only peppy and i love it that way because it makes her personality really shine among the rest. i would eventually like to bring another peppy in that she can be BFFs with though!
i’ve been quiet on here since i’ve been rebuilding the main area of my town from the ground up, and it’s going really well! it’s so nice to have a big project that makes me really want to open my game every day again! however, i took a break from renovating to enjoy the first fireworks festival with my villagers and it’s honestly the most fun i’ve had in this game since it came out. what a beautiful, wonderful, fun update!! so happy we got all our fun handheld things back too :3
(oh and also broccolo moved in as you can see above!! my best friend wanted erik and we like our islands to exist in the same universe so we try not to overlap villagers. so i gave her erik and brought my lil baby broccolo over from my new leaf town. i forgot how much i adore him ;~;)
i got bored with my island the other day and dug up everything i own and threw it all on the beach so i could redo everything lmao how is your day going
okay okay i’m being dramatic haha, i’m not changing my WHOLE island– i’m keeping my big forest and the cliffs where all my residents live, so i’m really only changing like ¼ of the island. it’s a pretty small area but it’s also kind of the main area of my island, where my shops, museum, resi services, gardens, park, stargazing area, book nook, and marketplace live. it’s a lot of things crammed into a small space but for a while now i’ve been bored with how FLAT it all is. i’m trying really hard with this renovation to add some more cliffs and dynamic-ness to it all. i think it’s going to look really different in layout but retain the same signature happy bright rainbow town aesthetic that makes fairy ring what it is!
sittin’ all cute with my girls but secretly wondering how come nobody brought me a popsicle
my baby girl bree’s birthday was on tuesday and i dressed up all fancy to attend her party because she’s an elegant queen and i love her
also have u guys SEEN the jellies in the museum
who knew that’s what that big circle was for??? i swear i think i screeched when i first saw them
these were my first photos after the swimming update. so happy we can go in the water now!
Kidcore?
i’m not 100% sure what your question is rofl but if you are asking whether or not my island is “kidcore” themed, then i would probably say no? i do have touches of kidcore in my own personal style so that is probably reflected in my island, but overall i’d say i just love rainbows and bright colors and cute things and so i guess the main theme is just my own aesthetic. i usually describe it as “half happy, colorful town and half natural fairy forest.”
Hi there! I really love your island and your blog. You are so creative! Can I ask how you added the tiny villager icons to your blog description? It looks so cute!
hi there! thank you so much, that’s so sweet of you! i apologize because i’m not sure when you asked this (tumblr often doesn’t tell me when i get a message so i only see them when i remember to click on the mail icon) but i got the villager icons from the blog acnlsprites on tumblr.
i also found the similar style one for judy that someone from the bell tree forum made, though you’re welcome to take it from my blog if you want to use it as the creator said it was free for use!
this is fairy ring’s new stargazing area! i’m very fond of it.
i put my lighthouse out on one of my back rocks to see if i liked it there and i wasn’t sure about it until i realized that i could see it from my house! so i set up this little blanket area to enjoy the pretty view.
