Epilogue: Billy

~Three years later ~~Glasgow, Scotland~

The shopping centre was bustling at that time of the afternoon and Billy was pretty sure that he would be getting jostled heavily if it weren’t for the small child walking next to him, holding his hand. The dark haired little boy was cute and glued to his fathers side. Crowds always made Darian nervous, a trait that both his parents fretted over.

But Billy had a day off and they needed groceries so he and his son had gone to the shops, as a fun bonding exercise. Arthur and Philip had elected to stay at the art studio, finger-painting with their mum because “shopping was boring.”

The pair stopped in the snacks aisle, as was common practice and Billy picked his son up to choose what chips to buy. Darian giggled and pointed and Billy put the chips in the basket and moved on, this time holding Darian in his arms after the boy refused to let go of his neck.

“Da,” Billy turned to his son, who pointed behind him with a slight lip wobble. Billy turned to see his mother staring at him. He kissed his son’s head to calm him down, sighed and approached her.

“Mother, what are you doing here?” She looked him up and down, not missing the lack of wedding ring on his finger or the child in his arm.

“I had to buy some new things from the furniture store in this building. I might as well get some groceries while I’m at it. Is he yours?” Her voice was gentle as she observed her grandson.

“Yeah. Mother, this is Darian, my son,” his mother gaped like a fish. He hadn’t even thought to tell his parents when Arsinoe got pregnant.

“Oh. Are you and his mother separated?” She glanced at his hand again, where no wedding ring sat. Billy tried not to get frustrated. His marital status was no ones business except his own. Darian fidgeted, as if wanting to be put down.

“No, we’re together. Is that all? I have to get home.” She blinked, her only indicator of surprise. Billy let his son down and Darian tottered off. Billy nodded goodbye at his mother and followed his son down the aisle in the opposite direction.

ooo, we got a rare pair shipper YAY!!!! (Also um I don’t know if you wanted War gifted Kat or not so I just did poisoner/naturalist Kat BUT if ya’ll want War gifted Kat headcanons pls let me know)

• Okay, so Emilia did not mean to fall for Kat at all.
•  Like she met and danced with her at a party and was like ‘no fuck you poisoner’ (not really) and then immediately developed a crush on her.
• And it didn’t help that Katharine was super sweet and the complete opposite of what Emilia was expecting her to be. 
• And Kat also developed a huge fucking crush and blushed any time Natalia or Genevieve brought Emilia up. 
• They met again at another party, and they ran off to go make out in a random hallway.
• Natalia spotted them but never said anything because she just thought it would be a one-time thing. 
• It did not turn out to be a one-time thing. 
• (I don’t really have a story for them yet, so let’s jump into the cute stuff shall we.) 
• Emilia isn’t the most cuddly person in the world, but she can’t resist pulling Kat into her arms when she snuggles up to her while they are sleeping. 
• Kat likes to poison Emilia’s weapons because she thinks it’s helpful, but she keeps forgetting that Emilia isn’t a poisoner. 
• Emilia doesn’t have the heart to tell her to stop because Kat  gets so excited when telling her about the poisons. 
• So Emilia carries antidotes with her at all times. 
• Kat is a pretty decent fighter on her own, and sometimes she will challenge Emilia to small duels. 
• She almost always loses because Emilia flirts and makes her blush so she can’t focus. Then she either gets pinned to a wall or onto the ground. 
• But it leads to a make-out session, and Kat doesn’t mind that at all. (I have a new fanfic idea :D )
• Emilia and Natalia do not get along. 
• Every time they are near each other, Emilia is borderline about to get herself murdered. 
• Natalia has attempted to poison Emilia once or twice. She couldn’t bring herself to go through with it because Kat was just so happy.
• So Natalia does her best to be civil.
• Emilia doesn’t try to be civil at all. She fucking hates the Arrons, and the Arrons hate her just as much. 
• She once told Natalia flat out to her face what she thinks of her and her family. She immediately regretted it. (Natalia is fucking scary when she wants to be) 
• The only reason they restrain themselves from killing each other is for Kat’s sake. 
• Kat’s fox, Haldy, (Ya know after that war queen Kat talked about in the first book. I think it’s a good name.) likes Emilia, but she is devious and likes to piss Emilia off. 
• Once stole Emilia’s boot and held it hostage for an hour while Emilia pleaded with her for an hour to get it back all the while laughing at her. (Foxes can laugh, and it’s the cutest shit ever. look it up!)
• That night, before Emilia went to sleep, she put her boots on a tall table, thinking that Haldy would be unable to get to them. 
• Now here’s the thing, Haldy is a grey fox, and grey foxes are the best climbers. 
• So Emilia woke up to the fox on the table and spent another hour pleading with the fox. 
• Kat was very amused over the whole ordeal. 
• Emilia tells Kat that the fox annoys her to no end, but Kat has seen her and Haldy napping together on several occasions. 
• And she has also caught her playing with the fox on other occasions as well. 
• Kat really can’t help but laugh when she does. :D

Well Arsinoe would probably go a bit crazy because of the quarantine lol and Billy would have to calm her down, but tbh in general they’d just enjoy spending more time with each other since they’re two lovestruck affectionate dorks(they’d bicker a lot as well too but that’s just them all the time so yeah) , and with their chicken children as well(for Arsinoe with her sisters if you count that AU where they all live together, but that’s already another thing)
