#53. mary stuart (reign) “I will let no one take my country from me. Since I was a babe, I have been a queen. Since a child, I have been alone on foreign soil. I know how to keep my life, my crown, and I will.”
“I want to talk about what happened without mentioning how much it hurt. There has to be a way. To care for the wounds without reopening them. To name the pain without inviting it back into me.”
— Lora Mathis, If There’s A Way Out I’ll Take It
This is a semi-hiatus (??) notice for the following two months. I am faced with multiple assignements and exams, so I will not be able to continue threads frequently, but I will try to produce at least one reply every two weeks. You will still be able to find me on dis.cord and my personal if you wish to; in fact, I welcome you all to be happy distractions.
Love you, xxx

❝𝐎𝐇?❞ 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐃. Surprise is soon followed by confusion as Niki spoke of his familiarity with jewellery and this specific ring. How does a conman know someone who works at court? Though she should not be so 𝐒𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋
she is a stranger in a foreign land and a Lady who ran from her duty.
❝Your mother’s? Are you certain? Well, if you are then you must take it!❞ They could never sell it, not if it truly had such a personal connection to one of them. ❝And if it is your mother’s, how did someone else get it?❞ Mary asked tentatively, not wanting to venture into anything that wasn’t her business, while also being naturally 𝐍𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐘 and curious!
He knew he had almost given himself away, and sought to to find a lie plausble, yet easy to remember. “I am more than certain. It was the only thing my father could buy from him. Being in the military does not pay as well as one may think.” He could not possibly tell her, not now, not ever.
“She lost it, or we thought she did. I was but a small boy back then, but I remember it as clear as ever.” That was true, at least. They had searched everywhere, but no sign of the ring. His father had assumed she lost it on their stroll by the river the previous day. “Either she did, and someone found it, or it was stolen.”
He took her hand holding the ring in his, and curled her hand around the precious piece. “Keep it; I trust it with you more than with me,” he said, looking deep into her eyes. She would have wanted me to give it to you, his mind supplied treacherously, and he tried hard to banish the thought.
“They say “time heals”, but even now … I know that’s a lie. What people really mean is that eventually you’ll get used to the pain. You’ll forget who you were without it; you’ll forget what you looked like without your scars.”
— Claudia Gray, A Thousand Pieces of You
“There was an accident,” Claire replied in French as her fellow doctors and nurses rushed around them, tending to the other’s who had been brought in with Nikolay.
“Are you in any pain?” She could give him specifics later, right now she needed to stabilize her patient.
“What’s your name?”
He tried to regulate his own breathing, with little success; he could not feel his right leg, except for a sharp pain in his thigh. “Yes, I’m in pain. What kind of accident?” He remembered an explosion, but was it a grenade, or a missile?
“I’m Captain Nikolay Vaganov, .” He chose to emmit his title of Grand Duke. “What of my men?” That was the first lesson his father taught him when war was still brewing; the soldiers under your command must always come before you, if you want them to follow you.

Some of you have already been in the first round–but to make it brief: this account is a semi-automated question generator that asks random blogs random questions about their muses!
The point is: reblog this post to get yourself added onto the list, to show me that you’re ok with receiving questions, and to get even more people aware of the process. I’ll still seek out blogs on my own, but you can do this to expedite the process!
Multimuses, in the tags, you can list the muses you want questions directed to in the following format: (muse1-muse2-muse3) and so on and so forth. If not, it just won’t be directed to anyone!
Thanks and happy developing!
(In which I realize you can’t put commas in tags.)
