Perrine and D.O.T.
I really don’t know what to draw now.
Friendly reminder that there is a real person, a person with feelings and emotions and struggles, behind the screen of every blog. You never know what’s going on irl that might be affecting them. You never know what kinds of things they get in their inbox and IMs and don’t publish or talk about.
It costs $0.00 to not be a dick to people on the internet. Please have some empathy and compassion, especially these days given everything going on in the world.
Uncharacteristically as it was for him, Hakudōshi grimaced at the sudden nickname that the little creature gave him, yes he had been called brat, kid and even bastard but never had he been called by a diminutive of his name.
And he really didn’t like it.
Because of this he suddenly poked Perrine with the end of his naginata’s pole, pressing it slightly but not enough to hurt her “Don’t call me Haku ever again.” he had an annoyed look in his child-like features, if one looked closely it could even be considered a pout.
Humphing, he walked towards his demon horse and with a quick jump he was sitting on its back. He was unsure if Perrine would come and sit with him on the large animal or if she would go to…whatever that thing she had come from was. Entei could be as mean as he was when he wanted to, given that the horse didn’t allow just anyone to ride him.
If they even tried and he didn’t accept it, like it once happened with Kagura, things could get very unstable. Not that he didn’t like chaos, on the contrary he loved it, but last time it had taken him hours to find the horse who had been quite offended that someone else other than Hakudōshi had tried to ride him without his permission, so offended that it took off with no rider on his back.
He nearly rolled his eyes at the statement of the little purple creature. Not here to get in trouble? Making other people die isn’t fun? Oh dear, did she run into the wrong person then.
“Yeah, fine. No need to be mean. It’s just a name.” Perrine sighed, trying to push away the naginata. That child was stronger than it looked. Which was also a reason she wanted to stay a little longer. She had never met a species like this, and that was something which always made her curious.
Well, trouble or not, it was worth a try, Perrine decided. Maybe she’s lucky and Hakudōshi lied to her.. maybe she’ll be soon arriving the next city, eating pizza and going to the cinema. And.. and… maybe that weird boy just needed a friend who’s showing him how to really have fun..
She almost didn’t notice that her new friend was already about to leave.
“Hey, hey! Waaaait!” While waving with one of her head-tentacles, she ran to him.
“I’m coming with you!” the purple alien decided and tilted her head back, giving him a crooked smile. “But, you know, I may need you help to get up there..”
However he managed it to get on that huge creature -she didn’t pay attention-, Perrine wasn’t able to reach its back.
“…” Valo lets out a soft sigh as they show their result. It’s actually quite elaborate… so much so that one could actually fit inside the sand castle. They seem quite ambitious… is it even possible? Valo seems to think so.
“Yes.” They simply say.
“Woah..” Being quite impressed, Perrine took the notebook to have a closer look at it, then gave Valo an enthusiastic grin.
“It’s huge, it’s awesome and will take hours to build. Let’s do this!”
“You know now. That’s all that matters. Learning is a part of every species, right?”
She could tell the alien was remorseful of her joke and what it had lead to. Neff was someone who cared just as much about how someone responded to being confronted about something they did that was questionable. Reactions like that? Those were sincere. It was similar to having to educate someone younger who didn’t know better, it would be wrong to be upset at someone before they had a chance to make things right.
And being called different from the selfish and entitled ones…..Neff felt both relieved and guilty. She wasn’t always as considerate as she was now, she could admit, but it was good to know her attempts at being better were reaching people. Before whatever Perrine could suggest had made it into the open Neff felt herself slowly rise. The seat belt kept her int he seat, thankfully, but it still felt a bit weird and wobbly.
“Wuh-oh. Uhhh….should I be concerned about this or is this a normal thing?”
“Yeah, guess so..” Perrine answered and chuckled. “But not everyone is good in that.” If that was referred to herself or other species wasn’t clear.
“Oh, seems I accidentally deactivated artificial gravity. Don’t worry, Neffy,” the alien said amused and looked down to her companion, then nodded as the AI confirmed her guess.
Unlike Neff, Perrine was not secured. But being used to it, she didn’t have a problem with floating around and moving forward. For that, the jellyfish-like creature could use her ‘bell’, like she also did underwater.
But not Neff.. she probably had never dealt with zero gravity. So, wouldn’t it be fun to..
Giving her friend a cheeky grin, Perrine moved towards her to open the seat belt and grabbed her hands. “Believe me, it’s fun!"
"Hey! Can you give me an autograph? I'm a huge fan of yours, you know?" Holding up a self-made GOTG comic, the small and purple alien grinned at her favorite 'hero'.
“Autograph? Seriously?! Never gotten asked that before.” Peter nodded and chuckled. “Dude is that a comic of us?! That’s awesome!” He politely grabbed the comic and took out a galaxy designed pen. “You want all of us to sign this?”
Can your OC sleep comfortably on a floor?
Yep. Perrine can sleep comfortably almost everywhere. She also falls imidiately asleep, no matter where.
But she prefers to sleep in water or in a pile of 10000 blankets and pillows.
Fun fact: You can see where she slept or took a nap, since she always leaves a small puddle of drool. (Perrine doesn’t have a nose, so she has to use her mouth to breathe.)
It could be about unexpected developments, commentary on the muses, behind the scenes looks, before and now comparisons, comments on ‘well that happened’ anything they would like!
Sneak in. Right. He couldn’t help the laugh. “We’re not exactly inconspicuous.” Ater wasn’t exactly the adventurous type, or the law breaking type. And honestly he wasn’t about to break that to get into a stupid fun fair. Was he? …. Was he…?
The skinny alien shook his head and looked at her apologetically. “I’m not going to be arrested and put in prison for that. Look. You may get away with it because- well look at you- but I wouldn’t unfortunately.” That and he had no money to speak of to bail himself out.
Being sure Ater would join in, Perrine’s grin became wider.
It was obvious that her plan was bad and anything but well thought-out, but she felt confident about it.
Perrine’s grin dissapeared as he shook his head.
The purple girl pulled his sleeve and gestured eagerly with the other hand again to the direction of the fence. “But, but.. I have the perfect idea to get in.. we won’t get caught, I promise!”
Giving up was not an option.
🍨 + London Fog ice cream!
“Woah! Thanks!” Seemed this man likes to surprise people with gifts.
Perrine grabbed the ice cream cone, giving her new friend a happy smile before starting to eat.
Perrine loves to hug/touch people.
Why? Because she has never received any kind of affection from her parents.* (She has never met them. R.I.P. guys.) If your muse has fluffy hair, even better. But that’s because she doesn’t have hair at her own, so it’s quite fascinating for Perrine.
Well, Perrine isn’t aware of that, but she tries to cope with it by seeking for.. some love?
I mean, it’s really not healthy to be raised by an emotionless robot?? Have you ever wondered what’s wrong with that silly thing? Yeah, that’s also a reason. lol
She’s around 350 years old, spent about 100 years alone with her ‘robot dad’. So, but, didn’t she have enough time to learn how to act properly around living beings? Yeah, maybe. But, some of you might have already noticed, she’s still learning.
* Some of you might also know that Perrine is a hybrid (half Quilon/half some unknown, but more humanoid species. The Quilon didn’t really care about their offspring, they had to take care of themselves right after birth. And that’s the reason Perrine prefers it to be most time at her own. But at the other hand, thanks to the humanoid species, which cared about their children, she needs love and affection, too.
Long story short: It’s not simple to be hybrid. You have to deal with so many conflicts. :S And even worse, if you can’t use that information, because you simply do not have them.
Perrine spends more time on earth than I planned. But good for me! It makes stuff a lot easier! :D
And the reason I never change her clothes in threads, even if I sometimes really want (especially in cute human clothes): It’s also easier for me.. or maybe I’m just lazy. Hmm, maybe both.. C:/
Hakudōshi raised an eyebrow but his expression only showed amusement at the little creature’s statement “You don’t say?” there was something already forming in his mind…well he was bored and Perrine seemed to want to play.
And he loved to play as well…
“I am Hakudōshi.” he introduced himself as he hit lightly with the pole of his naginata on his shoulder “Of course I am not human, I am a demon myself.” he was used to others thinking he was a mere child, his looks could be quite deceiving but that’s why he enjoyed to prove others wrong “Well…if you are that good at getting out of trouble then I suppose you would have no trouble to into that forest with me?”
The smug smile just spread wider “Or maybe you’re scared of meeting other demons?”
Thinking about his idea, Perrine turned her head in the direction of her shuttle. Sure, his intentions were anything but good, and it would be.. healthier just to leave, but this place made her curious. Also..
With a determined glance in her eyes, she turned her head again to the demon and lowered her arms. “Fine, Haku.. Maybe a little walk isn’t that bad.” Like usual Perrine decided to use a nickname.
“I spent way too long in that tin can.. uum, in my.. well, it doesn’t matter. But.. I’m gonna tell you a little secret,” she began, went closer to Hakudōshi and looked up to him. “I am actually not here to get into trouble. I just wanted to have some fun, you know? And dying or making other people die is not fun. At least not for me. So, maybe we could try not to get harmed.. or to harm others…”
Friendly reminder: Anon or not, please tell me if I did something wrong. No one complained yet, but I’m always afraid to annoy people and maybe some of you are too shy to tell me. But, seriously, you can always talk to me. Thank you. 💜 🤗
The smug smile only spread on the boy’s face upon seeing the little creature’s expression, she had reached the conclusion he wasn’t some kind of hero going out there saving lives.
No way, he was far from being like Inuyasha and his friends. He was quite the opposite.
When Entei hovered over her, Hakudōshi couldn’t help the sneer that left his lips but at the same time…he was surprised that this little creature hadn’t suddenly run off, scared and screaming. He surely had expected that considering Entei was about four or five times taller than her. Maybe this little creature wasn’t weak as it gave off.
Waving his hand a couple of times was enough to have the giant demon horse back away from the purple creature and Hakudōshi bent his knees once more to reach her size “Hmm you have caught my interest…you’re quite brave to still stand here even after learning I am someone who could have just killed you for fun.” he tilted his head curiously “And you have quite an interesting…form. Do you have a name?”
„Oh, that’s your pet. Why didn’t you just tell me,“ Perrine mumbled, more to herself, after the horse backed away from them, then turned her attention again to Hakudōshi.
This whole situation confused her more and more. That wasn’t fun, and having fun is one the reasons why Perrine chose to travel around. It was probably better to go back to the space shuttle to get some information about this weird version of earth. Or better, to leave this place. But first she had to get rid of that mean child.
“Well, you know, I’ve been in worse, more dangerous situations. I got used to it.. kinda..” Hands on hips, her face relaxed as she continued with a slightly proud tone in her voice, “I’m good at getting out of trouble. Oh, and yeah, of course I do have a name. It’s Perrine. And you? You’re no human either, right?”
