“Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies arrives in North America and Europe on 24th October, exclusively as a digital download for the Nintendo 3DS eShop priced at $29.99 / €24.99!”
WHAT. I THOUGHT THIS WAS HAPPENING IN FEBRUARY.
THERE GOES MY MONEY
It’s been a long hard road, and there’s more still to come, but the ever-persistent Gyakuten Kenji 2 fan translation team has made its first release! The patch covers cases 1 and 2 of the game.
Hit the jump for all the details and the download!
“Phoenix Returns,” a piece I did for the upcoming Fangamer X Attract Mode art show at PAX Prime 2013. You can read more about it here. Prints will be available for purchase at the show!
The gallery’s theme is “X”, so I went with Phoenix Wright since he’s making a comeback with “Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies.”
Capcom has announced two tie-in books for Dual Destinies in Japan. The Dual Destinies Official Complete Guide (at left) features a detailed walkthrough for the game, as well as story summaries and character relationship charts, as well as official art for many of the characters. It is available now in Japan for 1,575 yen.
The Dual Destinies Official Visual Book (at right) focuses on the game’s artwork, featuring official and concept art for the game’s characters, as well as environment and event artwork, including concepts for the 3D areas of the game. It releases in Japan on September 6th.

Releasing to North America and Europe some time next year.
OUR PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!
In a recent interview with Game Trailers, producer Motohide Eshiro was asked on the future of the series after Dual Destinies’ release,
I can tell you that once it’s out there and once we see what people think, we’ll have a good idea on what direction to go in next. I personally love the Ace Attorney universe. I don’t want it to end, I don’t think it will end with this. Exactly what shape it will take remains to be seen. Can’t talk too much about that now, but I highly doubt this will be the end of Ace Attorney and Phoenix Wright.
Eshiro also revealed that unlike previous games in the series, the English localization of Dual Destines was handled simultaneously with the development of the original Japanese game. Additionally, he confirmed that the decision to release the localization of Dual Destinies as digital-only was to shorten the gap between the Japanese and Western release. By releasing it on the eShop, they would be able to distribute the game to Western players “as soon as it’s ready.“
I think we can all breath a collective sigh of relief that Ace Attorney is in no ways done and that the series will still continue on evermore.
[[Court is now in session! Phew. I finished Phoenix today, and I think he looks rather dashing! The lighting really kills the magenta on Edgeworth’s suit, but alas.
I made these in the about two and a half weeks. Someone kill me.]]
