Some older people will push younger people to have kids not because they think having kids is the best thing ever, but because they resent seeing younger people enjoying their lives without children. Some older people hate their children, hated raising them, and feel cheated out of their youth, and so they can’t stand the thought of the next generation escaping the trap. That’s why I don’t trust a lot of older people who insist I should settle down and get married. Often I can see a sinister motive underneath, especially if I can tell they’re not really happy with how their life is currently.

That they can be functional people without being a mother.
That deciding into their 30s they want kids isnt bad and they’re not “too old.”
Teach girls that they don’t have to sell their youth to kids.

my econ teacher has been trying to teach about scarcity by having a limited amount of graph paper available for students who don’t have any (she has the last few pages in a pad and when it’s gone, it’s gone) but it’s very undercut by the fact that i have a whole pad and i’ll let people have a piece whenever they need it

In particular, she’s teaching artificial scarcity by being a person in an authoritative position withholding resources that are actually abundant from people who need them. 

You are breaking the illusion of power and scarcity by showing the supposedly scarce resource is actually in abundance and if distributed properly everyone would have what they needed to pass the class.
