“From ashes to ashes, smoke and flame.”
Willow charcoal on paper.
That’s my first charcoal sketch/drawing and I’m liking the feel of charcoal to be honest.
The Artifact of Revinore.
Against all odds.
“… and we could hear ourselves weeping and wailing, grieving for a past that is not ours. The three dead men have bestowed their blessing upon us. And now we were to carry their burden forever.”
“We could hear our breaths and our heartbeats, but not the water. There were no sounds here.”
“The air burnt our lungs, cooked our skin and seared our eyes. We were finally there.”
“If you see those trees, run. Run as fast as you can.”
A gas giant and its moon.
Patiently floating in space.
“We found it. We could hear it, a deep rumbling that shook the earth beneath us.”
“There were no signs of life. Only us.”
“At that moment, we knew. There was no one in this earth.”
“The trees watched in silence as the last of the ether left Earth. They will die now.”
“It was only me, the trees and the void looming above me.”
Out of time and space.
Simple shapes in a desert.
An overhang witha view.
“It shone a brilliant white. A forgotten artifact from the olden days of yore. We never saw it again.”
