Orange moss agaric (Rickenella fibula), also sometime referred to as orange mosscap, is a tiny, delicate, ocher-colored mushroom that grows exclusively in moss - it’s a beautiful find in Appalachia’s late spring to early summer forests. The above photo was taken along Little Laurel Run in Coopers Rock State Forest.
