oh hey new guide thinggg~ some basics on how to practice! there’s SO much I could add to this, so it’s just the basics :O
short (kind of): there’s more to practice than doing something repeatedly, it’s also learning new things, problem solving, and honest critique. Each of those is its own skill…also be nice to yourself!
He turned his head, facing the radiant sun. A golden glaze covered the boy’s face, highlighting his angular features. The thin, delicate chain of his silver earring swayed as he gracefully executed choreography, the metal striking against the side of his ear. The window displayed a reflection of the boy leaping across the studio, checking his movement in the mirror, while the sun shone on his every movement.
His shadow moved across the room with the rhythm. Silver hair sparkling in the golden light, sweatshirt swaying loosely but still chic, and dark jeans dancing around. Every swift movement was extremely calculated and precise, the choreography meant for a group maintaining the incredible impact with just one dancer.
Other than the boy and speaker, the room is completely empty. Just the window, mirror, artist, and music.
okay I know this was rlly spontaneous but if anyone has feedback on how to improve my writing, please do tell! I’ve only been happy w/my works that are in 1st person, but I know that 3rd person is a lot easier for a lot of people to read, so I want to figure out how to make my work enjoyable for everyone!
Just published my second chapter! It was originally 5,000+ words, but I cut a bit of it off to put it in the third chapter, so it’s 3,500+ words. (Btw if u didn’t already know, my user on wattpad is peachgiggle)
Hopefully some of u guys will red it, I’m rlly proud of the conversation at the end 😅!
Here’s a sample;

I snap out of a tangent of thoughts and look at my work. I have contacted countless suppliers for our product materials, and have a book started for different people’s email and facility addresses. There were a couple cross country calls for Cheol, so I bought his plane tickets and put sticky notes on the calendar. There’s only one travel call in the next month, but it’s a few weeks away and he’ll be able to drive there and back all in one day.
I sigh.
This is a damn exhausting job, I’ve been trying to figure out how to slack off for a bit, but there’s not really much of a opportunity. I figure that I can just use this free time to double check my emails. At least there won’t be any work I have to bring home. Cheol sees me in the midst of boredom and smiles. “Finally catch up with all that extra scheduling?” He smirks. I release a weary sigh and softly smile. “Yeah, I’m glad to finally have a stable job but damn.. this is a lot of work.” He quietly laughs and smiles, making me feel energized. “Well you deserve the rest. From what I’ve been able to interpret, you’ve been through a lot in the last few months and deserve a breath of fresh air that doesn’t jeopardize your well being.” I blush.
full thing is available on my wattpad (user–> peachgiggle) , just wanted to get some feedback before publishing this chapter!
lil info to set it up; Jeonghan just got a job to be Seungcheol’s assistant, and they live in the same apartment complex. Jeonghan fell down the day before in the rain and Cheol helped him back up, so now Jeonghan, being the chaotic gay he is, has a crush on his boss.
On the way out I grab a chilled mocha from my fridge. I walk down the hallway, holding my bag in one hand and chugging coffee using the other. The elevator door opens as I finish the drink and move my hand down, revealing a coffee mustache.
Seungcheol stands there, leaning against the walls of the elevator, holding a briefcase. He holds in laughter when he sees me standing there in panic with crooked glasses and a chocolate ring around my mouth. I instantly wipe my mouth off with my sleeve quickly, making my top lip sting slightly afterwards.
My face is a bright red as I walk onto the elevator. I shake my head slightly to get my glasses back into position. “G-good morning Cheol” I stutter with a strong tone, making me look even more foolish. “Good morning! How has your day been going so far?” He asks, sending my a smile. My heart skips a beat. “Oh- well, I didn’t fall back asleep so that’s good. Otherwise, a morning’s a morning, so the fun’s a bit limited” He softly chuckles. Recently I discovered that I really enjoy making Cheol smile.
The elevator seems smaller than usual, and even emptier. My eyes scan the walls, making their way to Seungcheol. He’s wearing dark Navy blue dress pants and blazer, with a black tie. His wavy black hair lays parted to the side, maintaining a professional yet cool appearance. The features on his face really are ethereal, from his eyes to his rosy lips to his glass skin. Long and beautiful black eyelashes shift as his big brown eyes turn to meet mine. My vision snaps immediately back to the ground.
A soft scraping noise is heard as the elevator doors open, conveniently in time for me to scurry out. I pause for a second, remembering that I probably shouldn’t ditch my boss, and slow down so that he can catch up with me. I blush a bit and awkwardly smile- “Sorry about that, it’s still the morning so I’m a bit out of it.” I pray that I didn’t just loose the chance I didn’t have to begin with. “It’s okay, I don’t function very well this time either, so we can help each other get through it together!” He beams at me.
