Okaaaaay, this plot sounds like a mix of What’s wrong with Secretary Kim, The secret life of my Secretary AND Scent of a Woman. I loved all these three dramas, I’m in.
Even though I haven’t seen a lot of Kim Jae Wook, I obviously know how great of an actor he is and think he’s swoony in romance, so I have complete faith in him. And then there’s Krystal… tbh she has been surprising me (in a good way) lately; her projects might not have been the greatest
i feel like i could cry just from thinking about Police Uni but to be fair acting wasn’t the issue but I’ve seen a significant growth on her part. Not entirely sold on their chemistry but in Kim Jae Wook and his charming ways of male lead we trust.
I’m so so so in.
Behold! Here’s the reason why I’m watching this at all (and waited months for):
He looks mighty fine!!!!
Thanks Anon! 😃
The Stars Align
After impressing viewers separately in recent years, Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya get to team up in Denis Villeneuve’s epic ‘Dune’ adaptation.
You will, little Rowoon! Just.You.Wait!
Awww this kiddo was a ray of sunshine, always smiling and full of sweet words and actions! it’s sad that not long after this, his whole world was shaken to the core because he saw his dear father murdering an innocent girl. Tbh I kinda wanted more drama added to the tragedy and for little Rowoon to find out that Dami is “dead” thanks to his daddy; that would have made him such an angsty adult lmao but he lost the respect for his father anyway and that will make him an equally troubled young man hehe.
I wasn’t expecting for Dami to found out in the way she did who exactly are the people who wanted her dead but I like it. It’s good to know who your enemies are, especially those who want to kill you lol And of course I understand that she hates little Rowoon’s father, but I didn’t want her to be angry or harbor any resentment towards little Rowoon; she did experience too much horror in just a few days so I guess it’s hard for her to imagine the son wouldn’t be under the influence of the father. I’m excited to see how will Dami get past that once she gets her new teacher and begins to fall for him. Ahhh!!! I’m just so excited for the romance to start!! I want it!!!
In the end, I just feel really bad for these kids. All the adults are either murderers or trash parents or both and the children are the ones that ended up paying for their crimes, lies and ignorance.
But also omg that reunion!!
Visually, a gorgeous scene. But omg I have so many questions!! Why was she undressed? Checking for injuries? By the lake? And why was Rowoon spying on her? I’m sure it wasn’t on purpose but lmao
And the tragedy hits!!
I want to feel bad for the mother but tbh this was partially her fault.
It’s truly a pity the twins didn’t get to find out about the truth in time and that they weren’t able to interact more because they were funny and adorable together.
I can’t remember if they did knew in the manhwa, not that it matters because the stories are so different, but I think they were at least aware of each other.
(The young actress did such a good job at playing both roles! I’m gonna miss her.)
I refuse to watch Gong Jun’s new drama because I already saw him in another campus romance drama and I kinda didn’t like it lol but I think the story of the drama itself finally airing four years after it was filmed is inspiring and gives me hope for all those dramas the fans are waiting for to be aired, and those in my own list.
Maybe someday in three or four years I’ll see you, Immortality and The Oath of love *looks up to the sky, hopeful* Maybe…
Awwww this was so cute!!! He fell for her at first sight.
Well, that escalated quickly hahahaha but I’m not mad
Aaaaaand just like that, he’s so done for!!! Have fun pining over the next decade, buddy!
and then being confused about your sexuality lol It’s gonna be painful, but also fun, i guess? lol
I know it’s a cliché in dramas to have the leads meet when they’re kiddos, fall in love, have a sweet but short romance that ends in tragedy and then meet again as traumatized adults, but in sageuks this is like the norm lol and you know what? I actually love it. It’s fun to watch, and the first meetings are always fun and adorable. And in this case, is easy to see why these two would end up longing for each other years later, I mean that was a powerful first meeting haha. (These young actors have tons of chemistry, I’m almost sorry to see them go so soon.)
I’ve been waiting for this drama since it was announced and I have to admit that my expectations built up greatly which I know it’s dangerous but I just couldn’t help it; Anyway, I’m happy to say (and so relieved) that the show lived up to my expectations. I know it’s just the first ep and that Rowoon and Park Eun Bin haven’t appeared yet but overall I like the drama. The first ep did feel a tiny bit rushed imo but that only means we’re going to see our protagonists soon, and I can’t be mad about that.
Yeonmo, you have my attention now bring me the Hot Scholar and His beautiful Majesty, and make me swoon, laugh, sigh, hurt and cry! In whatever order! I’m ready!!!
What an intro!! I love it when a drama starts and the audience is thrown into action. Also, this show is full of shitty parents but my top contenders for the “Most terrible father of the year” are Old Sexist King, Evil Minister and Spineless Crown Prince.
Don’t even know how to answer to that, you old asshole, I mean, your majesty.
And the cherry on top:
hahahahaha omg I hope you die
They’re talking about a baby for God’s sake!! I know this is how the story and its main conflict goes but couldn’t they pretend she is the kiddo of one of the Crown Prince’s concubines or something? I’m sure he has at least one. Jesus. What do these people have instead of brains??
Rowoon’s dad and Evil Minister’s servant/designated killer escapes this only because, while a piece of trash, he at least seems to care for his son and hasn’t tried to kill him. I know it’s the bare minimum but it seems like we started real low with this drama.
“I always intended for Azula to have a redemption arc in the story of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Longer and far more complicated than Zuko’s. She had not bottomed out in the end of season three, she had further to go. At the deepest moment in her own abyss, she would have found: Zuko.
“Despite it all, her brother Zuko would be there for her. Believing in her, sticking by her, doing his best to understand and help her hold her pain that she can no longer hold alone. Zuko – patient, forgiving, and unconditionally loving – all strengths he gained from Uncle Iroh.
“That’s how she would have gotten out, and changed. With the faith and love of someone she had hurt, but who stuck by her anyway. Just as he had been saved by faith and love from someone he had hurt, who stuck by him.
“And I always imagined that after coming out the other side, she would be one of those people who hilariously over-shares her own feelings all the time, and that she would be a bit over-apologetic. Like a Canadian version of Azula.”

Using the Donghua poster because it fits the overall story more than the Audio Drama cover. :’))
Yan City is a bright, bustling metropolis filled with all sorts of wonders, all sorts of people. From the richest occupying the city’s most prestigious residential areas to the poorest huddling together in rundown slums, from the most fortunate blessed with a life of comfort to the wretched deemed to struggle until their last breath, from the virtuous walking in the path of light to the wicked lurking under the cover of darkness.
There is as much good as there is evil, and days gone by, people coming and going along with the passage of time.
Since their first meeting during a certain case seven years ago, Captain of the City Bureau’s Crime Investigation Unit Luo Wenzhou thought he would never see eye to eye with Fei Du, son of a well-known conglomerate who inherited his father’s position and wealth after the latter fell into comatose due to a near-fatal accident three years ago.
Words as sharp as knives dyed their bitter exchanges, even their personality was like the heaven and earth; the bold, blunt, and straightforward Luo Wenzhou - and the astute, secretive Fei Du, with his beautiful peach blossom eyes and a smile that is not quite a smile seducing countless people, his very presence seems as if it was covered under layers and layers of deceit.
Every single time they meet, they would always part on bad terms. Yet Luo Wenzhou would never have thought that a seemingly ordinary murder case of an ordinary deliveryman would lead him into the mystery of multiple long forgotten unsolved cases, turning over the Yan City and the City Bureau itself upside down, making him question his faith to those he respected and trust - and along with it, opening a door to the truth of Fei Du’s past never once known to others.
