Sapientia and Heira have slipped away into the mists of time once again, and with our last lore entry, Sapientia was facing quite the uncertain fate! Although our new lore entry leaves us still with that cliffhanger ending, with it, we are starting to learn more about the past, before the past. The new entry has been added to the Incandium Ultimus -> Sacramentum Memoriae - Enthymema. We hope you enjoy this look into history.

Of course with Sapientia’s time over, this  means that the Year of Verum is upon us, lasting throughout March. As the goddess of truth, Verum can often be blunt and harsh, though she has been known to show her care, to the rare one who earns it.

This month’s currency is the “secret”. You can earn secrets by correctly answering Trivia questions (found on Location -> General -> Trivia), with each player being able to earn up to 20 per day. Verum loves secrets, and hearing all of those little things you don’t want her to know. She will trade those secrets in her shop for a variety of items that allow horses to express their ‘true selves’.

Items found in this shop include:
- Instant Builds (Arabian, Pony, Draft, Donkey, and Warmblood)
- Change Height
- Gender Change
- Companion Coat Changer
- Companion Gender Changer

Along with the following god items:
- Verum’s Truth: Allows you to glimpse an unborn foal you have claimed.
- Haedra’s Vision: Allows you to change the gender of an unborn foal without affecting stallion slots.
- Dictum Cantus: Allows you to apply a Cantus scry to an unborn, claimed foal. A guide for it is here.

Events happening this month:
March 7 is Giraffe’s birthday! Keep an eye out for her Giraffe and Staff Spirit in the wild, along with her speckly giraffe tinguo in the shops.

March  15 is the Festival of Fertility, during which you will be able to find the Spirit of Verum and Spirit of Haedra in the wilds if you’re lucky. They will also be in the shop.

I’m loving the art and vibe of the wolvden lunar event, but not sure which of these encounters are the most fantastically creative, bizarre and ridiculous.

Holy smokes everyone!! Our Kickstarter was able to reach 100% funded in less than 5 minutes! We are positively blown away by your support and generosity, we can’t thank you enough. Since all of our initial stretch goals were surpassed, we will be looking into adding more stretch goals or rewards as a way to give back to all of our wonderful supporters. 

In the meantime, we wanted to answer a couple asks that were submitted and also announce that we are now hiring Discord mods! Please see information about our job opening below: 

The asterisk signifies that those are exclusive to the Kickstarter! This is explained in the first FAQ entry on our KS page and states: “Every tier contains Kickstarter exclusive rewards, which are items that will not be acquirable after the Kickstarter has ended - neither in game, nor through our giveaways, nor anywhere else. For instance, the Vespen Companion from the Goldsea Pack tier is Kickstarter exclusive and acquirable only through this Kickstarter campaign. However, the Holiday Snowcat from the All the Companions tier is not a KS exclusive Companion and we will continue awarding those to winners of our various giveaways.”

Players will be able to change their wolves patterns using special pattern change items that they can purchase through our in-game shop! We don’t have any features at the moment that change a wolf’s colors, however we have had it suggested that we add a “randomizer” item that will randomly re-roll all the colors for a wolf. We’ve not yet decided if that will make it in to the game!

Borealis

Borealis is an extremely unusual and unique wolf. Born to a lone wolf female and a male wolf from the Dreamlands, he glows with lunar energy, though it’s been tainted by the earth, giving it a green glow. Because of this, he looks extremely similar to the aurora borealis, which his mother named him after. He lived with her, traveling and seeing the world, for many years, until her death. Now he wanders alone, but he doesn’t just wander on Earth.

Thanks to his father’s parentage, Borealis is capable of walking in the Dreamlands even during the day, and can move between it and Earth at will.

He is a very kind wolf, often known to help other lone wolves in need, and always willing to assist packs in need for a time, but always moves on.

He is currently residing in the very edge of the coniferous forest in the Soft River Pack’s territory, but has yet to come into contact with them.

No, players will not be able to create any customized wolves aside from their two starter wolves. 

Yes! Players can befriend randomly generated wolves while exploring in the Campaign, which will then join their pack and be listed as having no/unknown parents.

Wow.

This is really amazing and I am very very touched. Thank you so much for your thoughts, kindness and time put into this - and most of all your talent. My father admired creativity and young people’s imagination and sensitivity to art a whole lot. I know he’d take off his glasses to look better at he’d say “holy shit” and tbh it’s what I said in my head as well. This is incredible, the collaboration and this massive project. The fur clumps and shading, the colours - the glow and dynamic effect of the embers, the blue shading. The anatomy. The patterns. Everything is amazing. The sky has such a perfect tone - he loved Paris Blue and darker tones of it, such dark night was present in most of his paintings. And the stars remind me of his art. <3 You have no idea how perfect this choice was.

I love how the mosaic effect of the fur or some parts make the tiger look more real, there’s so much variety in animal’s hair physics after all. It’s insane to me how well blended the colours are in the mosaic. I really had to look long and close to notice it was done by more than one person. It looks so wholesome.

And in such a short time, by 6 people. It blows my mind. I haven’t even slept much since I got the news so it still seems like it’s been same day and in my hazed mind it appears like this was drawn in two hours.

I never thought I’d ever be inspiration to anyone so this is incredible to read right now. You have no idea how much this means to me. One of my brothers is very close to me and sees and reads everything I do at work and he appreciates every comment and warm words as well.

I would never expect this to happen. I have never recived a gift like this in my life and I never thought there even is a possibility strangers who never met me in real life can be so kind and warm and amazing. Thank you so, so much.

I wish I could show him that. Thank you

This is the ADHD turn-around glow-up we needed this year.

You lie down, letting the moon bask your muzzle in its blue light. Closing your eyes, you begin to doze off, feeling your body slowly relaxing. You start to feel as though you’re falling down, losing your grasp on gravity with the ground crumbling away beneath your body. With a startled gasp, you open your eyes, looking at everything around you. You feel hazy, and everything appears to be covered in blue fog, glowing lights, and dissolving darkness. Are you dreaming? What is this mystical world?

Wolvden’s first event is here!  This will be a week-long mini event that reoccurs every single month.

In the day time, you will start to find strange glowing dust among your travels.  You will passively collect this Lunar Essence, storing it up for night time in-game.  You can collect up to 100 Lunar Essence at any one time, and up to 100 maximum from Explore per Rollover.  On Rollover, you will automatically have gained 25 Lunar Essence which doesn’t count towards your daily maximum.  Lunar Essence can only be collected from explore when it isn’t night time - from Dawn until Dusk.

Lunar Essence is used as a secondary resource which you will spend in place of Energy on explore steps in the Dreamlands, a different, lunar-touched world.

At night time, the Dreamlands will become available.  A banner on the Event page will light up and become available to use, or you can visit Explore and a button will appear in the top right hand corner which allows you to “Fall asleep…”.  This way you can enter the Dreamlands - a warped reality which is touched by Lunar powers.

In the Dreamlands, you will find a variety of new encounters with various creatures and experiences, as well as a large variety of Lunar opponents to battle!  All of these encounters and battles will reward you with our first event currency - Lunar Tears - which can be used to purchase items from the Lunar Shoppe with a pair of brand new NPCs.
