Who are you? What are you?
These questions always ring in my head. Every waking day that God is giving me, my vulnerable and indecisive self always and never fail to bombard me with those questions.
I have a name and a surname. Yes. But a label? Well, that is still on the process. I am about to turn 25 but i feel that i grow older without being much of a person that i want to be, or at least the the person that i am now.
Oh, dear God. Bad, right?
I read the quote from an unknown author that says: Life is not about finding yourself, it is about creating yourself.
Yes. Creating. Not finding. For a moment, that quote seemed to be my wake up call. How am i suppose to find my self when self doesn’t even exist? How am i suppose to find me when me doesn’t exist?
In this life, we can be somebody or nobody. We can be losers or achievers. We can be great or lousy. We can be anything we wanted to be, or we can just let anyone define us and put labels on us. Decisions are really on us, not on them.
Me? I want a label that says great wife, best mom, blogger, businesswoman, leader, anointed child of God, good friend, and a whole lot more. How about you? What label will you create for yourself? What label do you want yourself to be known of?
An old lady once dreamt of being an artist. But because of lack of belief and self-esteem, she did not dare go after her dreams. But true love it is, at the age of 67, she finally go for it. She may not be a famous artist but sure did she followed and lived her dream. After 67 years of her existence, she just put a label on her self that says “artist”.
We are still young. We don’t have to wait 67 years to put labels on ourselves. If we want it, then go for it. Don’t waste time thinking if we can or cannot. Our dreams are worth the try. Our labels are worth the try. :)
I don’t know how she does it.
She’s a mom, a church leader and a cell leader, a busy woman who runs three businesses, a wife to a businessman, a committed server of God. But she do life gracefully. She do her thing smoothly. I don’t know how she does it.
My mom, always busy, always on the go. I am a mom now to a beautiful baby girl, and time eats me! I can’t seem to do anything. I am no progress.
Life is drifting. I am staring blankly ahead while life passes me by.
Her secret? Time management. Easily said than done. Well, she explained to me quite clearly. Managing time is like shopping. When you shop, you have to choose between your wants and your needs. When you manage your time, you also have to choose your wants and your needs. When you go for your wants, let’s say, watching tv all day long, you’re wasting time, when you buy things that you don’t need, you’re wasting your money. But when you do what you really need to do (whatever it is), you’ll be productive, you’re not wasting; same with shopping for the things that you need. You are useful. You are productive. You are no longer wasting.
Time management. :) let’s try…
