Holy hell, it has been a busy and stressful week or so but I come with things finally… Another default using the hidden uni clone outfits and something I’ve wanted to do for a while but I knew I’d be rusty on this, hence the delay. Enabled for adults and can be used at the same time as any other default for cowboy jeans. Full body preview wasn’t necessary, I just really liked the outfit and thought my sim looked pretty… lol
Tested in game but please as always let me know if I’ve messed something up. Hope you had better weeks than I have!
AxA 2021: Planet AxA | 50+ CAS Items | Public 10-23
Welcome to Planet AxA, a custom content pack that focuses on Y2K fashion that Ayoshi and I felt like revamping to for a 21st century angle. Deck out your sims in Von Dutch hats, denim mini skirts, and 2007 blackout era Britney Spears Gucci sunglasses to pay homage to the 2000’s trends.
Random ‘need this thing’ creation. It was pointed out to me that the Sun&Moon Functional Candles didn’t work on the tiny little deco shelves the game provides for whatever reason. So I made some of my own. This is a simple set of wall sconce shapes that are fully shiftable with AL. As you can see in the preview shot, they’re barely off the ground but they have the ability to go as high as the wall itself. No wall needed to place either, so you can technically put these against decorative pillars and what not as well. Enjoy all the possible arrangements!
And yes while these were made for the size of Sun&Moon Pillar Candles, pretty much anything can be placed on them.
Comes in a few select wood/metal colors, and they are all share texture through Wall Sconce 1. Can be found in Surfaces > Misc for $3.
Do you like the rainbow? Do you like the idea of playing with berry Sims but hate berry Sims? Do you want to mess around with aspects of the game you’ve never used before? Boy, do I have the challenge for you!
Welcome to the Not So Berry Legacy Challenge, a ten generation legacy with a focus on bright colors and new experiences.
Each heir must represent the color of the generation (i.e. hair, makeup, clothing), but brightly colored skin is not necessary (these aren’t actually berry Sims, that’s the joke). Of course, this is optional but a big portion of the fun.
The colors of the spouses don’t matter as they aren’t part of the challenge. Unless otherwise stated you can do whatever you please with them.
Money cheats can be used, but not excessively. Suggestion: use freerealestate for your first home, but no cheats afterward.
You may live wherever you please unless something is specified in the rules of a generation.
Every generation is supposed to complete both the career and aspiration of the heir unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Keep the lifespan on normal.
If you play this challenge and want to share it with us, go ahead and post with #notsoberry so we can see!
My good friend @alwaysimming and I kind of created this challenge on accident, but I think it turned out pretty great. We wanted to make something that forced us to play with parts of the game we’ve never explored before. Hopefully you’ll have fun too. You can follow our gameplay on @mintiphresh and @lea-fey (pronounced “minty fresh” and “leafy”)!
DO NOT - Reupload, Include my mesh in your lots / rooms / blender scenes for download or on pay sites (always link back to my page so they can download directly), Use my textures, Convert, Claim as your own or modify my mesh in any way. YOU CAN - Recolour, but don’t include my mesh.
Finally I came to bring another recolor maxis match. I have to be honest, I really need to be inspired to recolor game objects, they are not so easy because of resolution limitation. Anyway, I hope you like these beds, I just loved them all.
So, somebody asked for a guide on how I make my fake ponds. It’s actually very easy! Click the pictures for a more detailed description of the process. Whoops, text is not showing up. I hope the pictures are clear enough.
You can also place decks on top of the pond, but you can’t place fences underneath the deck. I recommended using Buggybooz’s lowest flower border to circumvent the problem.
Dark concrete floors by Misstiikeri. Any other dark floors will do fine as well, but I really like this one.
Hope this might prove helpful to some other simmers out there who are unsatisfied with the in-game ponds. Maybe one day I will discover a way to make straight canals, so I can finally build some Amsterdam inspired streets.
I want to show how to make it possible to swim in such a lake. This is a translation of a post from our forum where we are exploring cut content from Sims 2: https://thesims.cc/posts/5580249. Without they, there was no my tumblr.
So, we will build a pond on the site of the Dreamer family.
Dig a hole under the pond. On the Web, they recommend a hole depth of 3 clicks, but with 1 click it is possible too. We will prepare the foundation for the springboard and stairs so that it hangs over the slope of the shore, and with the help of “moveobjects on” we place the springboard and stairs:
In theory, we can only paint the bottom with something blue and …
And here the nuances begin, which are either not mentioned at all, or are offered not too effective “medicines”. The fact is that in such ponds, Sims either begin to engage in underground swimming (at the “three-clink” depth), or even walk on water, like a dry land (at one-cliff). Fences, dams, bushes? And they will swim under the fence, and under the dam and under the bush. But there is a solution to this problem! If you enclose the “swimming” space SO:
…then you will not have problems even with a “single-clipped” depth. In other words, the “barrier” should be at the bottom of the reservoir, along the perimeter of it, and not on the slopes or the surface of the earth.
Now think about “realism.” You can paint the bottom of the pond or cover it with a blue carpet, or you can use this transparent tile from MTS for this:
Already better, though, especially if you replace the water lilies with some downloaded decorative “fish for the pond”, algae extracted from The Sims Castaway Stories or something else.
Another nuance. In the Russian versions of the game, the stairs have the “Enter” (Зайти) option. Well, in the English original, this option is not “Enter” but “Get Out.” Ignoring this “moment” is punishable by bubbles, which the sim crawling out of the pool begins to actively “gas.” To avoid this, the instruction manual for our “swimming” pond looks like this:
1) Into the “water” - only from the springboard.
2) From the water - by canceling the action “Swim” (Sim himself will come out).
@alienpod made a really cute 4t2 default replacement mailbox, and I love them but I like a little variety in my mailboxes. So I’ve been using Michelle’s 4t2 mailbox covers. (I’m especially fond of the Nifty Knitting one.)
But @alienpod’s default has these cute recolors. So I edited them to remove the shadows of the mailbox flag, since Michelle’s doesn’t have one. And here we are:
12 recolor of Michelle’s Ol’ Rustic Mailbox Cover.
