This was the first birthday where I didn’t question my achievements and where I am in life. I think this means I’m content (for now). I spent the weekend in the North baking, walking, creating and gaming and managed to cross off one item from my “30-before-30” list. I’ll celebrate for the last time this year on Saturday when my parents come over to visit the house for the first time since I bought it - In the past, they’ve been critical so I’m not looking forward to it.
In other news, work is throwing many opportunities my and I’m questioning opportunity Vs timing Vs workload and wondering if I can do it all…

So, you’re saying I only have 367 days left to be selfish? lol

So, plans changes and I’m now going back into school twice a week to teach. On Monday, my students and I ended up on the local news to discuss the ‘return to school’ which was exciting and I didn’t realise ho wmuch I missed the little shits and just teaching in general.

Mid-year, the start of summer and the best month (because it’s my birthday). This year, I’m planning on crossing a few things off my ‘30-before-30’ list whilst in lockdown by spending the long weekend in the Peaks stargazing, walking, taking photos, baking and making my own pot and lamp.

This month, most people are returning to work and 'normality’, whereas I’ve volunteered to remote teach from the comfort of my home and I’m pretty happy about this, I’ve also lost weight and realised that I’ve been losing weight all year despite many snaccidents, so there’s a win. Life in general is a big win - oh, and my bf became an official Dr today.

Four degrees, a well-paid job and a solo homeowner to my 2nd house. I think I’m a rich man too.

Tomorrow would have been the first exam of the season for my students. How time flies! We’ve spent hours discussing where students should be ranked and how some data doesn’t reflect a student’s ability - heated but honest.

So, in a nutshell - I’ve been avoiding the news and people in general (no change), all of my house deliveries that were on hold have arrived, I’ve painted the whole house in four days (keen?), I have no idea when I’m going back to work and have enjoyed teaching from home. Also, I want a cat.
