Me and my Dad. We look a lot alike, right? I’ve been thinking about him as we couldn’t visit him on Fathers Day. He’s been a little sick lately.
Have you ever met my Dad? He’s a really good guy- too nice sometimes. Retired from the LAPD after serving my hometown for 37 years. You may have heard him called “Detective Floyd” on my radio show. That’s him. He served at an MP. He was on college track & field. He got his degree in law at Cal State LA (where I later went). And even though my parents divorced, he was very involved in my childhood, fun vacations, coaching my sports teams, helping me write and deliver my speeches. My Dad supported my interests and my spirit for adventure. Thanks for so many important years you helped me get through and build my self confidence and belief in the ability to achieve my dreams. Happy belated Fathers Day, Daddy❤️

Girlfriends.. Let me tell ya.
Right now I’m thinking about the girlfriends in my life that I know I can always call, ask for advice, share my “dumb ideas” with, invite to my whatever & they’ll s h o w u p! There are some ladies that think of my kids, care about knowing my family, and love us even though ;) and evermore.

I can’t imagine trying to navigate this Industry, or Motherhood or the mountains I climb, without their steadfast always outstretched hand to hold whenever I need it. @pink went public today the she’d tested possitive for COVID-19. And this news sucks. Especially knowing her 2 little ones are at home. BUT the good news (and boy do we need some of that!) is that she’s healthy & has just tested negative.

Looking at this @kristincruz IG account I noticed we share a lot about “𝘼𝙣𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙨 ”. How much my Izzy loves them or how much I try not to eat them🙊 But I’ve never introduced you to our animal family! So here we go..

In our home we have Papi the Chihuahua who Matt spotted at a Pet Fair in Santa Clarita called Pow Wows & Meows. It takes place every year at the end of Summer, showcasing animals from shelters who need a forever home. We all agreed that Papi looked friendly and had a bad cough so we scooped up, got him well, and made him our family doggo (as Izzy would say).

Bob was stuck inside the car engine of a Lexus at the City Hall parking lot. When a woman wanted to drive home she heard a meow and instead called 911. Yes, that’s right, Fireman Matt rescued a cat & we drove her home from the forestation in a cardboard box. A tiny grey baby kitten with blue eyes who we bottle-fed and named Boba… Which was later changed to Bob when the vet discovered she was a boy. 😂👍

Lastly there’s Dawn our Leopard Gecko who is 2 years old & lives happily in an aquarium in Cruzer’s room. She likes being held held. Dawn & Bob are best friends.

Proud mom moment here🙋🏻‍♀️ I had to do it.
I’m so excited to share with you that Izzy has been cast in the role of Elsa in a production of FROZEN kids! Sweet talented courageous girl is practicing hard to memorize all of her lines and belt out that famous song- high notes and all! She has been in singing lessons for a couple of years now (we miss you so much @susanwooduncan !!) but she did not even audition for this lead role of Elsa! Still, they saw something in her and believe in her just like I do and she’ll be on stage in a blue dress as ELSA very soon!!! ✨❄️✨
