in some capacity, you are loved. someone loves the comment you made on their dress, someone loves the way you smile, or the way you laugh, or the way you say a certain word. when your name is said, it is never met without some sort of love
if youre adhd/autistic (or both like this dude here) im just here to say you’re NOT annoying me when you scroll through my blog for half an hour (or longer, who cares) and reblog everything you like. doesnt matter if my notes are you and just you for what feels like a mile of scrolling. hyperfcoused on my blog? rad. autism/adhd are your special interests / hyperfixations? amazing. just got stuck in executive dysfunction and you actually have been wanting to do the laundry for two hours but youre still scrolling? i hope you can function that executiveness tm soon but youre amazing too. any other reason? dont worry youre good. thats all i had to say really, but i truly want you all to know this.
Honestly when I see a bunch of the same person in my notes it makes me really happy! Especially if it’s a new follower bc it feels like that’s their way of getting to know me :)
I love seeing this
i actually love seeing this
let’s see how many transphobics we can weed out
I’ve had many friends come out as trans over the last three decades. The people they become after their transition have struck me as happier, more centred, and more who-they-always-were-only-more-so than the versions of them that I met to begin with. I’m always impressed by their bravery in the face of a society that at best doesn’t make transitioning easy and at worse can be actively, even murderously, transphobic.
People take names and especially surnames so damn seriously and act like they’re written in stone but the big secret here is they’re all fake, it’s all made up. David Tennant picked out his name at 16 because his real name was barred from the actor’s union he joined on account of their No Doubles Allowed rule, and he wound up naming himself after Neil Tennant from the Pet Shop Boys of all things, and now many years later his whole family carries on that same made-up name he committed to as a teenager. All names are made up and fake as hell, call yourself whatever feels right.
As a trans person it actually always makes me sad when even a cis person tells me they hate their name. I’m always like, change it, and they’re like “oh I dont want to go through the paperwork etc” and I’m like, you don’t have to, just use a different name socially, have your friends call you what you want, and they never know how to respond it seems, like they can’t really wrap their head around that concept being easy and acceptable.. It just makes me sad for them cause I live in such a different social world with fellow trans people in which having a chosen name is expected by most people AND respected, no one will ever mention your legal/deadname.
Cis people can do it too! Normalize it!! You don’t have to be trans to have a chosen name! No one should ever have to go through the burden of hearing yourself being called something you can’t stand, as someone who knows how terrible that feels. Your identity is your own to dictate and dont let the world stop you
(Ofc just be sure to avoid appropriating names outside of your culture that aren’t meant to be shared)
Literally 90% of the famous people we know of go by different names and nobody questions it. I called myself Riley for damn near a year and my teachers never said anything except to the jerks who refused to call me so. Change your name as many times as you want, no one can stop you.
Or even have multiple names if you like. I have three different names and I like it that way. Name yourself whatever you like even if it’s more than one name
