They hummed under his touch, pleased with the warm sensation and leaning just a bit into it. Iridia listened attentively as he described the event the look was for, giving an excited nod when he expressed his needs for it. Eyes full of thought until his invitation.
They stared down at him as he continued, still surprised that he wanted to have a Demon on his arm. All Iridia knew of was the ways of Earth, their mild awareness of Heaven and Hell, their ideas of Demons. It didn’t quite make sense that he would want a unholy being at his side. But the questions in their mind disappeared when he brought their knuckles to his lips. Damn.. Iridia understood sexual attraction but something felt different about this.
“Valeriu,” they purred, still holding his hand and looking down on him fondly. “It’s a beautiful name. It would be an honor to accompany you,” they confessed. It wouldn’t be the first time they’d walked into an event on someone’s arm, but somehow Iridia knew this would be different. Starting with the fact that it was to be their first major outing outside of Hell.
“Looks like it won’t be you alone I’ll be sewing for. I can’t just go to this event wearing any old thing!”
Valeriu was utterly entranced with this demon, watching their face light up bright – they were unlike any demon the Archmage ever met. Most demons were self-centered, and aloof, and completely sure that their influence over Valeriu was secure. He wasn’t sure if this was just a ploy to placate him, to let him guard down so they could attempt to possess him – but they would be in for a hell of a surprise if they ever tried, Valeriu mused to himself. For now, he reveled in a little mentions of praise that left Iridia’s mouth, spilling upon Valeriu’s heart like honey as the demon spoke his name so sweetly.
Vali was just so surprised at how much of a gentleperson Iridia was. The perfect person to accompany him while his usual partners were away celebrating with the Seelie Court in Alfheim, securing diplomatic relations, or already promised themselves to their other lovers for the Samhain celebration. Vali could have his pick of the litter, as suitors lined up out the door for a chance to catch Vali’s eye and be his accompaniment during the party, but by now Valeriu knew that he could achieve a much better result with his summoning abilities. “I’ve never met a demon as excitable as you, not that it’s a bad thing! It’s refreshing to see someone actually enthusiastic about their job.”
Demons usually didn’t continue to knock at his door and leave him obscenely gaudy gifts when Vali made it clear that their transactional relationship was over for now. “You should become acquainted with Dokkalfar fashion for inspiration, then. Head-dresses and masks are common fashion accessories among the Unseelie, and gold and black seems to be the uniform this time of year. A splash of color wouldn’t hurt,” If one looked at Vali’s closet, one would see a sea of black, red, and gold with smatterings of other colors.
“And lots of sheer, revealing clothing, just enough to leave a little bit to the imagination,” Vali grinned, his cheeks bloomed to life with color. That could be surmised by how Valeriu wore robes that hung loose on him, hanging low to reveal a sliver of his chest and middrift, and the indication that one could just slip their fingers inbetween the sash holding together his robes, stripping him down with ease. “But also just little enough to show off one’s assets, yeah?” Vali chuckled. “I’m kinda…reluctant to let you go back, I want to know more about you, Iridia. Will you humor me and join me for dinner before you return to collect your things?"
