seen some confusion around it recently and since a friend was glad to hear it i might as well say it here:
monaco saying shes not allowed in a casino isnt hima saying that she as a character is canonically underage! its actually referring to the law that citizens of monaco arent allowed to gamble or even to set foot in their countrys famous casinos. itd be the same no matter how old she is! her canon age is still very much unknown

Although the Philippines and Vietnam were on opposing sides of the Cold War, their relations siginificantly warmed after its end. Perhaps, they already maintained a connection beforehand?
based on @blueskywater-happiness ‘s headcanon of VietPhil being akin to ‘Romeo and Juliet’ during the Cold War. ]
when you think about it tho pliny the elder is kind of the funniest guy in the world like. he wrote all these books about natural history that he was wrong about where he confidently claims things like “some animals only have blood during certain parts of the year” and then when mt. vesuvius erupted and destroyed pompeii and herculaneum he said “oh mt vesuvius is exploding? let me go check it out” and then he died
the man was committed to science. he wasn’t very good at it. but he was committed

i hate when people say shit like there’s no trigger warnings irl or whatever bc like ok!! sure, that’s true. but do you know what fucking sucks?? when you’re somewhere like social media, most of which has native content filtering features these days, and people say “no you shouldn’t get a warning” i’m sorry but twitter is not the place to do exposure therapy….
i recently tried to revive my personal twitter account, to keep my heta account…well hetalia/fandom focused, bc that’s a space i’ve tried to curate to be a chill place to hang out; but then i saw a tweet that was a photo of a child next to his mother who was killed during israeli air strikes, and it was captioned w something like “idc if this triggers you, you can’t look away”
well guess fucking what? it triggered me, because i also know what it’s like to see my own mother’s dead body. in a completely different context, but that photo still left me physically shaking and ill and i have largely been avoiding anything on social media to do w the current situation in gaza (and palestine more generally) bc i know that there are more photos like that, with similar captions; i’ve been antizionist since fucking high school, it’s not like i don’t care, i just don’t want to have to relive that. and i don’t think asking people to tag and respect triggers is too much to ask
Some of you need to realise that, unless their work has an intentionally didactic purpose, educating their readers/watchers is not an author’s job, and neither should this task be forced onto them. You shouldn’t expect all media you engage with to teach you something, because at some point it’s up to you to sit down and think to yourself where your principles lay, and it’s up to you to take responsibility for your actions into your own hands. If you find that your beliefs can be easily swayed by a work of fiction that’s up to you to handle. Authors, people in general - especially strangers - aren’t your babysitters
can we talk about how funny it would be if ludwig would have an appearance that more represents his actual age like, especially compared to the others around him he is………. actual baby……….. like, straight up boss baby at the world meetings.
niche drawing request, i feel like if jon and quent ever met, it would be a bit funny,
they are both such uncharismatic buzzkills, my guess is the vibe would be: the most awkward small talk you’ve ever seen in your life
For requests maybe indchu if you feel like it? :0
you wont believe how much fun this was <3
Summary: “You were staring,“ Belgium said.
“I wasn’t stari─”
“─Yes, you were,” his sister interrupted. “And you have been staring since the day France brought her to his home. Which was months ago. So, you better do something about it.”
Author’s note: Written for day four of @aphrarepairweek2021 on Tumblr. The prompt was historical. I use Marie as Belgium’s name, Louis for Luxembourg and Elise as Liechtenstein’s name.
