This probably goes without saying, but i’m not gonna be active on tumblr anymore. After a decade of loving my experience on here, growing as a person with all its up’s and down’s, sharing my art, wading thru toxic bullsh*t, and meeting awesome people whom i came to call friends, i now hold this platform in my hands and no longer find joy in it.

Thank you to all the people i’ve gotten to know personally on this platform, and my followers who have gone through so many fandoms and phases with me. I love y'all, you’ve been great, and i’ll always have fond memories of being on tumblr throughout most of my 20’s. Maybe one day if this site ever picks back up again i’ll return, but for now i’m content with managing my other more active social media accounts.

I read @angelia-dark’s Hazbin fanfic series called “Dinner Date: A RadioDust Tale” and absolutely loved it. (°◡°♡) Here’s my interpretation of Angel Dust in his succubus form when he’s taking on Vox in the third installment. Doing a voluptuous Angel is so oddly satisfying after drawing him with stick limbs all the time.

I think one thing i really liked about Onward was that it portrayed high school in a very relevant, realistic way. Ian is supposed to fulfill the “dorky” role, but there was no overt bullying towards him, no hallways of kids unanimously laughing at his misfortune, no stereotypical cliques, and basically no overdone, dramaticised high schools tropes that were present in nearly every animation my generation grew up with. Onward had a chill school atmosphere with kids that acted relatively normal, so Ian’s only real issue was his own social anxiety and awkwardness when trying to be more confident in himself, which is exactly what a lot of kids today struggle with at this age. I’m glad this movie showcased the internal problems that teenagers face, cuz while the external problems like bullying or school work or adult expectations can be troubling as well, there’s a lot of negative fallout from our own minds that doesn’t get addressed. When we start saying things like “i’m a screw up” or “i’ll never be good enough” - that’s a false narrative WE create within ourselves, regardless of who or what is effecting us on the outside, and one day we gotta start unpacking that baggage.

Soooooo yeah. Thanks Disney/Pixar for bringing that forward into the lime light a little.
