me, talking to a dog: you’re soft. are you even aware of your mortality? of course ur not. u pure, wholesome and sentient unselfish being. do u feel that? that’s my heart. i love you. look at those ears. here take my wallet
Oh. She didn’t have to stop her game?
Right, she kept forgetting that Matt was a gamer, too, so he understood how troublesome it was to stop for conversations.
“Breakfast… I guess that would be nice.
Are you good at cooking?”
❛ Hm? You want me to cook? ❜
Cereal, hot pockets, pizza rolls, chips, these
items required less energy to get & put together–Did
she want him to cook for her? He didn’t mind… Much,,
just that bones felt much like anchors beneath paled skin.
GOGGLES AND CIGARETTES
“Well our jeans are well ripped with our pockets thin.
We don’t have any change so we’ll just put our hands in.
You’ll keep me warm tonight.
I don’t need nice things to help me sleep at night.
Well it’s never felt better to have nothing but you…
and no one understands me but I’m telling the truth…
‘cause we can live in our own world as long as you love me.”
❛ — I guess you could say we
agree on something now. ❜
❛❛Well unlike ya I don’ know how t’ play vi—echk echk eh ehck eh eh eh ehck,❜❜ the words were stuck in his throat as a series of soft CHATTERS reverberated in his throat. his lips peeled back while eyes darted wildly across the screen in sight of the peculiar bird. it wasn’t an ACTUAL bird, he just should have known better than to focus so closely on the screen. this MECHANISM was unusual for him though it was still plausible. it just had to be at this inconvenient moment.
he couldn’t stop either, even when he knew he was making quite the scene.
Upon hearing the strange noises emitting
from the stranger–Matt took a moment to
observe. Was he okay? What triggered this?
Curiosity soon infected veins- & was soon
taking over tongue; caused vocals to react;
to speak. He had to know.
❛ — You okay? Does the bird bother
you? There are other games, y’know? ❜
@mxil liked for a starter!
Mello kicked the door shut behind him, a loud bang resounding through the apartment as he dropped his keys in the bowl and sauntered over to Matt, not even missing a beat as he snatched the cigarette from the gamer’s mouth before continuing to the kitchen to rescue some chocolate. He was not in the mood to deal with Matt smoking one of the cancer sticks in front of him.
Matt had just lit that cigarette, it had
been hours since his last one, & just
being victim to his friends bad mood,
caused a loud groan to vibrate vocals.
❛ — Uggghh–What the fuck,
Mello? That was new. ❜
He then sighed, & only moved
to pull out another cig from his
hE’S JUST A LIL BIT TALLR BUT THATS OKAy
cuti e s
“—Fine, I suppose. I’ve been working a lot.”
As always, Jinx is completely unaware of the other’s rather cute, awkward behavior. Being who she is, she is completely oblivious to any and all subtle hints the gamer could possibly give.
“–What about you, Matty? How are you?”
❛ — I’m good. Glad to be seeing you again.
Matt then adjusted himself, & allowed
a deep sigh to enter blistered lungs.
He was calm–His heart rate began to
slow,, & he gained the courage to look
her in the eye. She was so cute.
The unexpected collide startled the young man,
whose eyes were already on the stranger. There
was something about him that made Light think
twice before responding. Idiotic. Solid facts were
much more important that suppositions - and he
had none of those, until that moment. There he
was, flashing a kind smile, meant to help him.
❝ Do not worry about it. ❞
The spoken words sounded mechanical, like he
said them thousands and thousands of time. It
was already a habit for Light. Acting politely or
merely acting was one of his favorite things; he
was the best at it, in his opinion
❝ Are you by any chance new around
here? You seem to be a little… lost. ❞
❛ — Lost? Uh--
Like he would admit something like that–
Being lost? HA, he could find his way around,
with the help of google maps of course. Though,
this was not a simple question of knowing his
whereabouts, this was a chance to talk to KIRA.
Did Matt want to? Would this be beneficial? What
was there to lose? Not much. Matt’s life wasn’t
exactly the definition of a good time, with one
friend & a not so healthy addiction, there wasn’t
really a bright side too look upon.
❛ Fuck, I think I am, actually. Do you
know where I can find a gas station? ❜
“Mail, if you would like to speak, I am willing to listen.”
It’s not something she would normally offer. But Matt was different from the other’s. As much as Mello as well needed someone to speak to, L wouldn’t dare try, as she didn’t feel she was the right person to help him. And Near… Well, she had never particularly enjoyed conversing with him. Now here with Matt, L felt she could at least try to help him.
“Are you truly alright?”
Did L really, really want to know why Matt was
acting the way he was? Was this persistence
derived from mere curiosity? Or the rare chance
that the detective actually cared for him? As if
he had to think twice–Might as well calm the
tides of inquisitiveness before allowing such
interest over emotions to turn into a tsunami
❛ — I’m just really stressed out,
got a lot on my mind. That’s all,
it’s nothing to worry about. I’ll
get over it. ❜
