A Visitor to Pokemon Villiage
Helioptile cast a hesitant smile in the Floette’s direction as Wulfric started walking. It was a rare sight that Wulfric appreciated; he’d have to let the girl and her Pokémon stay a while, given how happy the rest of the village’s residents looked as well.
The fairy chirped happily and flew down towards her trainer when they got close. Noticing her nervous posture, Wulfric sat down a few feet away from her — she was sitting herself, and he neither wanted to tower over her or crowd her too badly — and he shook his head with a smile.
“No, no, it’s not a problem,” he replied. “It’s just a surprise to see anyone else in the area, is all.”
He looked up at the Pokémon surrounding them, playing and eating and looking so much happier than usual. Clearly, the girl had a good touch with Pokémon; it was rare to see them open up that quickly to a human.
“And, well, you could say they’re ‘mine’ in the sense that I’ve been trying to look out for them… But I don’t own them, you know? Or this land — it’s all theirs…”
And they deserved more than just a field to themselves, after all they’d been through.
"So don’t you worry about it, miss. You’re making them happy, so I don’t mind if you want to stay out here for a little while!”
She held out her hand for Flora, Flora going to rest on her lap, chirping happily. Marya’s smile returned. “Oh, okay! I was worried for a moment!” She said, giving a sigh of relief. She went to pet Flora, who snuggled up happily.
An espurr came over to her. Marya smiled, going to pet it. It cried out happily, enjoying the pet before squirming away and going to looking in her bag. She laughed. “I’m sorry, I don’t have any more pokepuffs. Everyone could only have one.” She said, going to pick the pokemon up. “But maybe I can come back and give you more another day, okay?” She smiled, hugging it.
She looked over at Wulfric when he spoke. “That’s really nice of you! I’m glad they have this big place for just them too…it must be really fun living here.” She mused. “People can’t really find it unless they get super lost…it’s hidden away and they can be safe.” She nodded. Olive chirped, going over to the large gym leader, jumping on his lap. “Oh! That’s Olive! She’s been with me since I was small. And this is Flora.” She said, introducing her natu and floette.
Her smile faded slightly, and she looked away for a moment before looking back. “A bit later…can you please show me how to get back to Snowbelle City? I’m a bit lost.” She chuckled. “As much as I’d love to stay here forever, I do need to get back sometime.”
