who i fuck and who other women fuck has nothing to do with activism- our bodies aren’t political playgrounds
If radical feminists cannot discuss the multifaceted benefits of celibacy, who can? If radical feminists cannot discuss the patriarchal influence in our lives from dating our own oppressors, and being at the highest risk of the specific one we date, who can?
our sex lives are not activism. period. that’s what i said.
The women who choose celibacy because they’re happier and safer that way aren’t using their sex lives as activism. They’re helping themselves. And our sex lives can be activism too if we wanted. The personal is political and patriarchy politicized sex with our backs turned. There are women here arguing being against PIV is being against heterosexuality 🙄 There’s a lot to be said about how we handle intimacy as a site of our oppression.
no one asked :/
