Les sphinx au dictionnaire - Francine van Hove
would love to see more non-sexualized nudity like this in art. this, right here? this is every woman: just at home relaxing with her tits out. she doesn’t have her tits out to please anybody but herself–she’s lounging around, she’s hanging out with her cat, she has her tits out just because. that’s a whole mood. that’s relatable, realistic, and very human. and it’s so superior to the massive amount of art we have of women frolicking around with their backs arched to appeal to the male gaze. lady just doesn’t wanna wear a bra. just wants to lounge around with a book and a cat and her tits just hanging. respect
So I was trying to figure out what the artist was portraying here or what was going on and I couldn’t find a lot of info but I did find More
Naked ladies vibing with books and food seems to be her thing and I’m here for it.
This makes an incredible and resounding amount of sense

PAYING MY INDULGENCES IN CLOUT
Wanna bet if somebody comes out to paint the line again either back to Black Lives Matter or a black line, police would arrest them?
They did. People came out after this to paint Black Lives Matter again, and the police harassed them before repainting it blue. The third time people came out to paint it, cops teargassed, shot at, and arrested them.
This is the end result of allowing a bunch of peaceniks to co-opt your revolution. These protests are hamstrung by the demand to remain non-violent while the opposition is under no obligation to do the same. Does nobody remember how quickly shit started changing in Minneapolis after two weeks of rioting and a police precinct being burned to the ground? That’s because the people in power were getting a good, long look at what happens when the people collectively decide that they’re done with the government’s bullshit.
But just when people were starting to realize how much power we hold in our hands, this whole “peaceful protest” narrative started circulating and all that energy and momentum drained right out of the movement. You know why? Because nobody’s afraid of a bunch of sign-waving hippies that cut and run at the first sign of trouble, that’s why!
It’s been one defeat after another lately, and it’s going to stay that way until people put their teeth back in and fight back.
[Image Description: tweet by David Parsons, @ davidlparsons. It says “Police in Florissant, Missouri, protecting people while they paint a blue line over a BLM street mural.” Beneath the tweet is a cop car parked in the middle of the street as four white people paint down the middle of the road. You can just barely see the “MAT” of “Black lives matter” unpainted in the photo.

Ok this is cute but this octopus is living in a brick… Stop polluting our oceans
This brick probably is just junk but it’s worth noting that sometimes “pollution” seen in footage like this isn’t actually garbage. There’s a lot of organizations that take old cars, ships, etc and strip all the paint and other harmful components and then place it in the bottom of the sea for new coral reefs to grow on. Besides that there will unfortunately always be pollution and I would rather it be a brick an octopus can make a home from than plastic bags that sea creatures will die from eating.
Artificial reefs are pretty cool!
They’re often used to provide habitats for corals, fish, and other marine life where the natural ocean floor has been eroded or disturbed by human use. They can be purpose-made like those reef balls up there, or they can be made out of recycled objects like cinderblocks.
While not all human-made materials are safe for reef use (tires used to be a popular choice, but then it was discovered that not only do they not stay put, they tend to leech toxins), sometimes marine life doesn’t actually care- they adapt to what we put in the water. A good example of that is the Rigs-to-Reef program, which takes offshore oil platforms and decommissions them by turning them into artificial reefs. While oil platforms are in use, sea life congregates around them, so instead of abandoning these platforms or removing them, which would disrupt what has become the “new normal” for these animals, they’re toppled and coral grows on them.
Anyways, I realize that I’ve totally derailed the awesome octopus and its teddy bear, but I just think that artificial reefs are neat!
