can't find the post right now(but i saw it Yesterday tumblr why are you like this), but there was something about how fandom is gift culture. it's created for free and given out for people to just. see and appreciate. if y'all were to get something homemade, like... idk a really beautifully made hat, would you really just sit there and talk about the flawed stitching, the slightly longer end, etc? no! because it's rude and unsolicited!
The joy of creating and sharing art is what got me sneaking out of bed and and draw at night or just making as much of the time i have left after work during the day. I’m just seriously to be able to draw.
And yes, people nit pick my mistakes or the change in my art style, or the way i design characters and the pace of my art work. Along with being recognized in the fandom (which i’m very grateful for) it also comes with stress at times. I tell myself that at the end of the day, if i let every negative and unconstructive comments get to me i problably would be dead already. I’m too easily influenced by that.
So i do what i love the most, draw to tell the story. Just keep working. Cuz i wont even have the time to be upset.
But i sm extremely thankful for the understanding of those who have come to enjoy what i do, even those who have left the fandom
