New tricks learned!

They still need a lot of adjustment and probably won’t even really be used in the final result. I’ll try to make a better version with the same tool I used on them. Thanks to @jazzysimlife, the texture is also replaced with Shockshame’s legacy.😘

Hihi nonny, glad you like my works. Unfortunately the Bridgerton sims are basically at pre-alpha stage, far from finished. I may upload them when I feel satisfied and comfortable to share. But please be noted, there’s no guarantee when or whether it will be done, especially considering I spend much lesser time on TS3 now. Thanks for your understanding. :)

Bye Bye 2020 (FINALLY!)

I’m actually writing this in 2021, the privilege for being in Asia :P

I don’t know why but lately I stayed away from TS3 and focused on building a TWICE theme park on Planet Coaster on and off. Each ride or roller coaster is based on the elements shown in TWICE MV (debut to 2020). It’s a mega (endless?) project. So far I’ve only finished the section 2015 & 2020. 

The only exception is “Cry for Me,” a big hit went viral after stage performance but no MV will be released according to the girls. So I went with my own design, using the concept video as a reference with the elements like thorns, red carpet, candles and tear drop signs. The butterfly actually comes from “I Can’t Stop Me” the song before CFM. oh it’s a free fall ride, and definitely makes one cry XDDDD  I really like the result haha. (Btw I have this strong crave for Ferrero Rocher lately…lol)

Another two pieces that I’m especially proud of are the zombie shooting ride “Like OOH-AHH(OOH-AHH하게)” & sync motorcycle coaster “I Cant Stop Me” I made two videos to show how it feels like when you’re unfortunately get on these evil rides. XDDD 

The quality of these clips are pretty crappy cuz my GPU screams whenever I play the game. Besides, building on Planet Coaster is like playing with some digital lego, super time-consuming(For the record, that’s why I download lots of works from Steam Workshop and modify them to my needs. The only thing I build 100% on my own is CFM, so is “Like OOH-AHH, but with some custom contents) . So I bought Project Hospital during the winter sale and enjoyed the different style there. That’s pretty much I’ve been doing with my spare time lately. Not sure when I’ll go back to TS3, hopefully sometime in 2021. See you all soon! Take care and stay safe! Happy New Year everyone!🎉🎆😘

Another Small Gift for the Slobs

While I was testing the campervan, it happened to be full moon and raining. Zombies were wondering around with …shiny and perfect umbrellas. It looked so wrong and it occurred to me that slobs also used this normal umbrella automatically when it rained. Another thing that doesn’t add up to me. So I think it would be better to have a broken or grungy umbrella for our lovely slobs to use. The way to fix that is super easy, ‘cuz EA has this broken version already, all I have to do is to copy and change the geostates (it decides how the subject changes in different state). Viola! A broken but functional umbrella for everyone!

Not sure if it’s a good idea to make it a default replacement, so this one is just a separate object like other custom umbrellas. Enjoy the crappy life that everything all got broken! YAY!

Functional Outdoor Trash Dump

Another update for today! I got inspired by @ninjaofthepurplethings​ and thought it might be cool to convert the original trash dump into a functional outdoor trash can. What kind of slob would actually throw their garbage into an ordinary trash can? It just doesn’t make any sense at all, right?  lol

The new one is smaller than the original trash dump and comes with CAStable option. It’s not a default replacement but an individual item that you can find under appliance > mis,

It’s such a pretty lot however mine previews actually look a bit different.

Campervan Set 01 & tutorial

A campervan home in ts3 is something I’ve always been dreaming about, so I modified one of EA cars to convert it into the frontal part of a camper van. It’s just a shell decor, but with proper-installed chairs, it makes your sims look like driving on a functional car/van.

Quick Update

Time flies! Simblreen is almost there! Unfortunately I don’t have much time this year, so might not be able to join the porch light thing, however, I do have something for my dear friends and 1000+ followers. Nothing fancy tho, just some kids’ stuff. 

Also, the van (deco) will be uploaded with a building guide by this weekend. Other items should be ready soon as well. So that’s it for now, enjoy the dance :D  

WIP-quick peek

been working on mini furniture for the campervan, including sink, trash can, washer, dryer, clothesline, hamper(bag/box), dresser, bookshelf and chin up bar. Some issues remain to be fixed, especially the dryer, but in general every piece serves their functions. Can’t wait to finish the whole set!😵😵

WIP-Starter Campervan part two

Some searchlight added on the van shell to make it more natural & the kitchen/bathroom area. I’ve also made this lovely couple who are based on two popular youtubers in Taiwan, Hailey & Adam. I’ve been following them for quite some time and they happened to announce their plan to travel around Taiwan while I was working on the van. So I thought why not and built the campervan for them! Therefore the dinning area could also be used as a recording studio. 

Also, considering the number of the cc I intend to make for this project, I think it would be better if I upload the van shell first so that everyone can start to build their own campervan. So, stay tuned if you’re interested!😘

WIP-Starter Campervan

I’ve been watching van tour clips on YT lately so I tried to make one in TS3. A lot of renovation needs to be done but at least the route and the exterior look has been settled. (Yes I intend to make it a real starter home of decent functions in game with usable furniture!) The tiny home set made by Sandy @aroundthesims is such a LIFESAVER! I might still need to make some more cc for this project though, like another compact washing machine & hamper. I’m having a great time with this van/lot, what do you think? :D

Btw, it’s a lot, not movable. The car in the front is actually a shell with armchairs, so you sims can sit on the front seats, pretending they’re actually driving. XD

Mulan

Back to the desert, for another story though. BTW Mulan is not Han people, but from Xianbei, a marginal tribe in the north, so her looks was actually a bit different from what we know as ancient Chinese culture nowadays. I would have chosen her accessories and clothes more accurately if SFS wasn’t down. 

Also, please don’t go watch the latest movie, it’s all messed up, a distorted combination of all the following dynasties. Moreover it also ruined a simple but deep story about how a brave young girl challenged the system, proving her ability and protected her family&country. What’s even worse is that the leading actress playing Mulan actually supports HK police for their brutal repression during the protests. Talk about irony.😤

Hours ago, I just realized the kind and talented Nemiga-sims decided to leave the community. This is probably the worse timing but…I have another bad news for you. 

As I mentioned earlier, I’ll be away for the rest of July, dear @simcatcher is kind enough to help out with the daily cc update @pis3update. It was planned to be a short and temporary leave at first, but as time went by, I realized how much I needed a longer break and the struggle with the cc group project. So I may stop updating cc for pis3update if I don’t feel better after coming back. The group blog will remain as a platform for creators to reblog their works with the minimum management. (New comers are still welcome to join tho). If you believe in this project and want to help out or take over, please DM me.

I’m actually the kind of person who hates to be restricted by games. Pet Society was one of my favorite Facebook game, but I quitted as soon as they added a new rule forcing the players to log in everyday or their pets die. Gaming should be something I do when I want to, not what I have to. Were if not for the responsibility to people supporting and joining this project, there’s no way I can go this far. 

Now the situation got even worse thanks to tumblr.  The dashboard revamp disabled new XKit which I relied heavily on for tagging and tracking. I used to track creators in the most primal way, and it costed 1~2 hrs a day to update the cc. With the help of new XKit and RSS bot on Telegram (subscribing 100+ creators, including members so I could fill in when they forgot), the time required was reduced significantly. And now I have to get by without XKit. That’s also why you saw me reblog cc with my main blog lately. Love y’all so much tumblr!

Besides, this project also required me to deal with people of different opinions, and resulted in some not-so-pleasant encounters. For instance, some creators refused to follow the member rules and said they didn’t know such rule, which was 100% impossible, for I have this SOP in place to make sure new members receive all the important information. Then they just quitted the group blog, saying they didn’t have to do so. Another creator rejected my invitation but wanted me to keep reblogging their works (so far that was all fine), what made me uncomfortable was that they started to send me the links of their new posts via private message, instead of submitting to pis3update. They probably thought it would be easier for me to reblog if they notified me in this way. But I was not their Siri, I didn’t work for them or any other creator. (They apologized when I asked them to stop.)    

What made me feel worst was this arrogant attitude of some creators. They just thought: “someone else will reblog for me anyway”, “there will always be another Lana”. As a creator my self, I don’t understand where that sense of superiority comes from. The creators need such a platform to show their works as much as the cc-finds need them. We need feedback to support us, to keep creating more works. One of the main reason I started the project was to help less-known or newbie creators to have a place to show their talents. Updating cc daily is very time-consuming and detail-oriented. We creators should thank people for reblogging our works. Unfortunately, some creators take this for granted. And that is the crucial foundation of this project.  

It’s pretty clear so far that we don’t have that common agreement in this community yet, which also makes sense, ‘cause it’s just a diversified group of players. We can only hope there will always be someone standing out and help out when we need them. Btw, we have several cc-finds reblogging TS3 CC constantly like what Lana did while there’s no such TS4 cc-find reblogging all the new cc with proper tags.  Shout out to these generous and diligent TS3 simblrs!  

To every member and everyone supporting this project, I am so so so grateful. Unfortunately there are more people I can’t convince them to join the group effort. I’m afraid I can only go this far. Sorry if I fail you.
