if part 9 is going to be the last jojo, it would be funny if araki used public domain works as stand names just to be nice to the localization teams for once
I like to imagine that the higher ups brought up that subject to Araki multiple times in the beginning but he was always just like
What music references would you like to see in upcoming Jojo parts?
I would personally love to see some 80’s Japanese pop references - it’s one of my favorite genres and many of the better known songs would make for great stand names like Plastic Love, Midnight Cruising or Bay City.
Ok so part 5 had an Italian food theme, and part 6 has a fashion brands theme?
Close enough! There are multiple exceptions to that, especially in Vento Aureo - for example Trish, Donatella, Giorno, Diavolo and others don’t have names connected to food (although I wouldn’t be mad if you argued for Diavolo/Diavola but only because that pizza absolutely slaps lmao).
Part 6 definitely stays mostly consistent in using fashion-inspired names, the few exceptions that come to mind are Romeo (which I’ve always assumed comes from Alfa Romeo?), Weather Report and best girl Foo Fighters although her nickname F.F. can be a reference to Fendi’s logo.
So yeah, the answer to your question is mostly yes but with exceptions. I can’t remember if Araki ever gave a reason for all the food names in Part 5 so maybe he was just hungry while writing sections of it?? Not that I’m complaining! I could never part with my orange child or fig cookie husband.
Jolyne and Kars nendoroid prototypes revealed!
Where's the best place to read part 8 that isn't full of viruses?
I read it on my e-reader instead of online so I can’t speak from experience but I’ve heard good things about mangadex(.ORG) and visited it before with no issues so that’s the place I’d recommend!
If you answered yes to both these question then oh boy have I got a deal to show you!
A collaboration between JOJO and French crystal manufacturer Baccarat Crystal brings us these two glass designs:

Hello, Carla! My birthday’s coming up, so I was wondering if you could tell me some good sites to purchase Jojo merch? I heard Jojoshop was actually a scam, so I wanted to be safe in crafting my list. 😅 If it helps narrow it down, Jotaro is my favorite character, so you could narrow down any research you’d do to just find places that sells merch of him. Thank you so much! And if you don’t want to look, that’s fine too!
Hello anon! My favorite places that ship merch internationally are amiami and solarisjapan - on both of them you’ll be sure to find plenty of JoJo merch, both new and pre-owned, (if you’re looking to find something more affordable there are decent deals going on there all the time!) as well as the usual pre-order releases. Best of luck on your search and happy early birthday! 💛
