So many ideas so little time…so sadly I’m taking a writing hiatus. You will see me reblogging things still, my own and others work. You will see little comments and I’ll happily chat to those friends I’ve made that I love chatting to. I just have no time write now to work on anything other than actual work. My degree has to take priority.
I WILL return to writing. I put too much effort into this blog to abandon it now, but you won’t be seeing anything new from me for a while. I’m planning on returning at the end of April. I have a series to finish and a few other oneshots I want to write after all. It just ism’t feasible right now with all the work I have to do.
To reiterate, I’m taking a writing hiatus till the end of April so I can focus on graduating.
Stay safe and well beautiful people đ
Take your time sweetie đđ, we will wait, for now I will re-read all the stories you have.đđ
If anyone in the Volturi gave you a hard time, it was Alec. They werenât particularly fond of humans yet Alec seemed to make his thoughts clearer than anyone else. The only reason you were kept around was your gift that Aro suspected was something to do with electricity. It was dangerous, but not exactly necessary. So suddenly rumour has it around the castle that youâre the part of his collection thatâs simply for fun rather necessity. You were expected to practice your ability whilst the others trained. When Demetri and Felix discovered you most certainly werenât practicing, they made sure to drag you into the training room every session.Â
âYou mean you want me to be the test dummy for the hand buzzer?â A guard, Simon, deadpanned in boredom. It was no secret that no guard wanted to be left with you. Frankly, the feeling was mutual. You sucked on your teeth, forcing down the annoyance. Quickly, you put your hand on Simons arm. Simon groaned, falling to the ground. âWhat we say nowadays is, âCongratulations, you played yourselfâ. You responded, feeling a little smug. He glared at you and no one caught the small smile fighting itâs way into Felixâs face.Â
âItâs not going to be much use to us if you can only do that through touch.â You grimaced at the voice approaching you. You turned your head to face Alec. âNot much use being human either, if you havenât noticed.â You responded and Alecâs scowl deepened. âHe is right.â Demetri agreed. âYouâll need to practice projecting it, or being able to use it all over your body.â âThanks Alec.â You said with a clenched jaw now that he had guaranteed you more work. Alec hissed. âYou two are genuinely at each otherâs throat all day arenât you?â Felix said, looking between you both. You scoffed. âHeâs the one with the problem. Some of us werenât given the gift of mist moulding powers.â âI could only use my gift through touch when I was human. Unlike you, I put in the work to make myself better and actually useful whilst you saunter around expecting something from everyone.â Alec snapped. You shook your head. âIâve only ever asked one thing from anyone. I asked you to treat me with some form of decency and you canât even manage that.â You glared at him. Alec stepped forward but Demetri quickly got in the way. âRight, you two. Thatâs enough. As cute as this is, really, weâve all got work to do.â âHe wonât even tell me how he managed it.â You said in annoyance. âFor all I know, I should just stick my finger in a plug socket and hope for the best.â âBe my guest!â Alec growled.
That training session passed and you got nothing but more and more frustration as a reward. You felt as though you had tried almost everything when your previous words came back to you. You turned to the empty plug socket by the door in one of the many living rooms. It was stupid, you knew it was but in that moment it was all you could think of that you hadnât tried. Quietly, you got off the couch, moving to the socket. Nothing was plugged in and you were sure you had gone crazy when you flicked the switch on, seriously considering the idea. Even more so, there wasnât anyone to stop you. You began to talk yourself into the idea. Surely it couldnât hurt. Your gift was electricity! So surely it wouldnât hurt youâŠor kill you for that matter. You slowly, put your hand closer to the socket. However before you could touch it. Someone had walked in. Although you were still moving your hand closer since their reaction time was quicker. There was a gasp.Â
â(Y/N)!â Alecâs voice rang in your ears. Less than a second later cold hands roughly grabbed you by the arms and dragged you away from the socket faster than you could blink. âWhat in the hell are you doing!?â Alec screamed at you. âHave you gone crazy!?â Finally you registered what he was saying. âWhat?â Alec grabbed your face, forcing you to look at him in the eyes. âLook at me! Are you out of your mind!? You could have killed yourself. You could have gotten hurt! Why in the hell would you ever do that to yourself!?“Â
Felix and Demetri rushed into the room, immediately. "What is it!? What happened!? Whatâs wrong!?â Questions tumbled out of the two as their eyes fell upon Alec crouched over you. His hands on either side of your face. âI just caught them sticking their finger in a plug!â Alec said loudly, making you wince at the proximity and volume of his voice. âWhat!?â The two cried in unison. â(Y/N), you better explain yourself right now!â Demetri snapped. âI-I just thought that-earlier when you mention plug sockets-â â(Y/N), if I told you to jump off a cliff, would you do it!?â Alec glared at you. He really didnât want your answer to that. That you knew immediately. You probably would considering what would heâd do to you if you didnât. âLook at me!â Alec demanded. Bring your attention back to him. âDonât you ever do that again! Promise me!â âI promise.â You said quietly. âAlecâŠâ Demetri prodded gently, tugging his hands from your face. âGentle.â Demetri reminded him. Demetri was quick to hook a finger under your chin, tilting your gaze to look at him. âI understand youâre frustrated, (Y/N) but this isnât how to proceed. You mustnât endanger yourself in such ways.â You nodded. âIâm sorry.â You said quietly. Alec fell back with a sigh. âKid⊠youâre absolutely crazy.â, Felix stepped back, running a hand through his hair. There was no doubt you had given the three, even Alec, a scare. Even the leaders chastised you for it.Â
One particular day, things changed. Felix, Santiago, Afton and the twins were in the living room, watching the TV. When you walked past, between them and the TV, it began to glitch. The Volturi had never seen such a thing and the noise gained your attention. You stepped back. âWhat onâŠ?â As you stepped back into the direction of the TV, it glitched again. âUhâŠwhat is happening?â Felix asked. âI have no idea.â Santiago replied, all eyes trained on you. The more you stared at it, the more drawn in you were. You stepped closer. âUh, (Y/N)? What are you doing there, kid?â Felix asked leaning slightly to keep an eye on you. You pressed your hands against the screen. Slowly but surely, you pulled back keeping your arms out.Â
To your surprise and the others electricity flowed between the TV and your outstretched hands. You turned your head in surprise towards the guards, mouth wide open in shock. âItâŠtingles.â You said. They said nothing in response simply staring at you. After ten seconds, the flow stopped, the TV cutting off sharply. You gasped, looking at your hands. âThat stung." It was apparent that your gift was growing. However, it grew faster than you could manage. It likely didnât help that Alec had returned to his usual patronizing self.Â
One day you had been minding your own business when you reached to move a wire from the phone. It was only used for the receptionist to get in touch but for whatever reason, the electricity that went through the phone had instead went directly into you. You screamed in agony as sharp stabbing pains went through your hand before burning and a horrifying smell reached your nostrils. Your breath quickening, tears streaming down your face in pain. Alec burst through the door to your cries as you cradled your hand. "What!? What happened!?â âMy hand!â You screamed. âIt burns! It burns!"Â
That made Alec jump into action. He dragged you to the kitchen as you cried. "Itâs hurts!â You screamed. âI know.â Alec mumbled. âDemetri! I need help!â He dragged you towards the sink as Demetri rushed in. âWhat happened!?â Alec carefully pulled your hand away from you. âI need to see it.â âDonât touch me!â You screamed. â(Y/N), you need to let me see it.â Alec said hurriedly.Â
The worst was supposed to be over with once you had got Edward. Although the Volturi had other ideas. Aro wanted to see Edward again and the taller guard insisted that you and Bella had to go too. It was then that Alice clutched your hand, making you turn to her. âNo matter what happens. I need you to trust me. Donât fight against anything that happens. Itâs important.â You frowned in confusion at Aliceâs instructions but complied regardless. âIâll be with you every step of the way.â You hadnât known what she meant by that. You werenât sure why such a statement was necessary yet the grim expression on her face as well as Edwardâs made your stomach drop.Â
You followed in the middle of the group silently, casting nervous glances to Bella every now and then. A blonde girl opened a set of double doors that had enchanting detail and looked heavy without even having to touch it. âSister, you were sent out for one and returned with twoâŠand two halves.â A boy took a few steps forward towards the blonde girl. âSuch a clever girl.â âWhat a happy surprise!â A man with black hair who stood from his throne in the middle smiled. âBella is alive after all! I love happy endings, but they are so rare.â You looked around the room. Vampires dressed in assortments of greyâs and blacks were at various sides of the room. Almost like a clock formation. Your eyes locked on one in particular though.Â
was rewatching teen wolf and realised that derekâs name is hale⊠so naturally i created a whole au where rosalie and derek are siblings and both think the other is dead.
their house burned down, carlisle rescued rosalie and turned her to save her. derek scaped and soon after became a werewolf.
also, it is very diferent from the canon content but whatever
I like this theory so much, it would be an interesting crossover
You and Alec are mated, and things are rapidly going downhill. It was love at first sight… Until you had found out the real reasons behind your long stay in Volterra. That boy couldn’t truly be the monster everyone warned you about… Could he? And is there any way out from it all…?
âą angst; language; mention of blood/violence; AGED-UP Alec (BD movie version); TW GASLIGHTING
đ This one’s gonna be a little long, with no happy ending… Just a heads up! It’ll be good though! đ

âI would never hurt you. Neverâ
The words clung to your mind like a spider to its web and sent your emotions into a flurry of confusion. He took a step closer towards you and as your tear-filled eyes met his ruby ones, you completely crumbled. Your face scrunched up slightly, tears freely falling down your face and you wrapped your arms around your body in desperate need to comfort yourself. Slowly he made his way closer until he was stood right in front of you and ever so gently moved his pale hands up to your cheeks, thumbs swiping away the salty tears.
âShhh, itâs okay angel, iâm here nowâ he whispered as he stared into your eyes.
âI-i canât b-believe they left m-meâ you managed to get out in between breaths and he slowly pulled you into him wrapping his arms around you as carefully as he possibly could. Slowly you wrapped your arms around him, his scent overtaking your senses and filling you with comfort that only he could ever give you. âIâm scaredâ you admitted and he slowly pulled away from you to explore your face.
âYour sister didnât deserve you considering she was so willing to use you to her advantage.â he growled slightly but once seeing the look on your face he managed to calm him self down just a little. âListen darling, youâre my mate. I will protect you with my life and I will make sure no one ever touches you. â he promised you and as you looked at him you knew everything would be okay.
âThank you, uhâ realisation struck upon you when you realised you didnât even know his name. You were destined to be with him and you didnât even know his name.
âAlecâ he finished for you, a smile graced his lips and you smiled too before holding out your hand
âY/Nâ you stated and he gently took your hand in his, lifting it to his lips and placing a chaste kiss to the back of it. âPleasure to meet you, my loveâ Your smile wavered slightly.
âWhat?â he asked looking concerned as to why your gaze had travelled back to the floor.
âItâs just that- what about the laws? Iâm not meant to know about all this and Iâm probably going to have to be turned soon and i-i donât know if iâm readyâ
âItâll work out love, i promise. Iâll talk to the masters and see how long we have. For now get some rest sweetheart, itâs been a long day for youâ
LATER…
As you were sound asleep tucked away in the depths of your newly found mates bedroom, Alec watched the rise and fall of your chest. The only light filling the room was the small glistening of the moonlight coming through the large window on the far side of the room illuminating your face a little. The only sound heard was your shallow breathing as your unconscious state stirred every so often, the soft, peaceful pace of your heartbeat filling his ears. Gracefully he made his way over to the opposite side of the bed, pulling back the covers and slipping his body inside. Ever so gently he pulled you into him and you stirred again before turning in his arms and moving your right arm to rest over his chest. A smile took place on his lips and he kissed your forehead. In that moment he knew that everything would be okay.
Like I know that she's been dead for centuries by the time of Twilight, but it's clear she still is effectively haunting/affecting the Volturi to this day. So what are your thoughts on Didyme and her gift?
Answer:
I have a lot of thoughts on Didyme, probably too much for one post, but weâll give it a whirl and see where we land.
Caveat that, given we never see Didyme and sheâs never spoken of in the Twilight saga itself, a lot of this is me merrily headcanoning along.
Didyme
I like to think Didyme was one of those rare, very charismatic, and inherently wonderful people. This manifests itself in her gift, just being near her is enough to make you happy and see all the little joys in the world. That is to say, I donât think her gift is a manipulative thing, but instead just an extension of her very aura. Sheâs one of those people whose joy is infectious.Â
Aro loved her enough that he never forgot her. As a fairly young vampire, though not young enough that he couldnât do the task at hand, he came back for her and her alone in his human life. They then traveled together for centuries (likely up to a thousand years) until they became acquainted with Marcus and Caius and started the Volturi.
To me thatâs very telling of Aroâs deep love for his sister. I think he cared for her very deeply, if he hadnât, she would never have made it to the point of joining the Volturi in the first place.
Yes, I do believe Aro did murder her, and weâll get into that, but thatâs the tragedy of it all. In his short sighted desperation, Aro murdered what he loved most in this world, and now he has essentially lost Marcus all the same and the ghost of his sister will forever hang over them both.
Didyme/Marcus
I ship none of the explicit, canon, ships presented to us in Twilight except Marcus/Didyme.
We only see the after effects of it in Marcus, that heâs still grieving and barely functional two-thousand years later, and presumably will be until the end of time. So, I will admit, this is mostly me headcanoning.
But I like to believe they had something truly profound together. Marcus/Didyme could be the ship that almost, almost, convinces me that mates actually exist. Well, I certainly like to believe theirs was the kind of love seen in epics and tales and rarely in real life.
The Greek Tragedy of Didymeâs Murder
I think Didyme saw the writing on the wall when it came to the Volturi.
First, a note, I believe the primary purpose of the Volturi is the protection of mankind. Their quest is entirely too ridiculous and pointless otherwise, for a grab at eternal power theyâre kings of no one and nothing, just the swift hand of judgement for strange laws like âdonât be obvious about eating the humansâ born of an age when humans very much did believe in demons.Â
The Volturi, in the Twilight world, is the ones we have to thank for the blossoming of human civilization.Â
I believe she agreed with her brotherâs mad vision and quest. She stuck around for far too long not to. While she presumably didnât live long after the Volturi was founded, she was around long enough that they settled in the city of Volterra, she married Marcus, Aro felt very single and got himself a wife, and I imagine the Volturi had made great strides to establishing itself (perhaps by this point defeating the Egyptian coven, gaining Demetri, and defeating the Romanians).
I think, around this point, Didyme realized that they would be doing this forever.
Imposing this law on the vampire world, rewriting the history of mankind to remove demons, it was never going to end. They would become trapped as the Volturi, despised by all the vampire world chafing at these rules they did not understand or respect, and if she stayed too long then she would never again have freedom.
I imagine she seriously weighed her love of her brother, his dream, and her own future and decided that she could not promise forever for this madness. More, she did not want Marcus to have to become this.
And so, she decided to leave.
However, the Volturi was too newly established. This was long before Jane and Alec, and they had faced very powerful threats in recent years. Marcus is extraordinarily powerful and very complimentary to Aroâs gift. Aro believes he cannot afford to lose Marcus.
And so, in desperation, he murders his sister.
Only, Marcus never recovers from Didymeâs death, and while he has Marcus he has essentially lost him anyway.
For a while, I imagine Aro brushed it off. It was difficult, yes, but he did what had to be done. However, the years go by and I imagine it starts crushing him from the inside, and by the time we reach canon we see an Aro who is not so eager to do this again.
Faced with the same decision, I imagine Aro would have let Didyme and Marcus leave, or perhaps tried to bargain with them to come for extended visits. They would, in time, likely have returned but death is something Didyme can never return from.Â
This is in part why I believe Aro did not put up more of a fuss when Carlisle first left Volterra. Aro didnât think Carlisle would find what he was looking for out there in the wide world, and while Carlisle did he also sort of didnât, but I imagine heâd learned from Didyme and realized Carlisle needed to figure this out for himself. That, in time, Carlisle would return, as he likely would have had Carlisle not made Edward.
However, with the events of Breaking Dawn and Eclipse, this future too is doomed.
I think the real reason of Edward being so scared of having sex with Bella, was because he’d killed women before while having sex.
He’s frozen as a teenager (puberty), and at some point he had his horny moments. The problem is, he didn’t know how to cope and he end up killing people in the process. This made him afraid to have sex with a humans again and increase his belief that he is a monster.
This is why he was afraid to have sex with Bella while she was human, because he was afraid that the same thing would happen, but with someone he now really loved.
In both the movies and the books, Smeyer gives us to understand that Edward was a virgin for 100 years.
I know she tried to make it look romantic, that he would have waited so long for his true love that was Bella. But being honest, now that I’m an adult, this doesn’t make sense to me, even if it had been different times and very conservative times.
We’ve seen it with the denali, who were born and turned into vampires long before Edward. And they became a kind of succubus.
So for this reason I think this makes more sense. And let’s remember that Edward had his periods of rebellion against Carlisle, when he started killing rapists or murderers and drinking their blood.
A/N: Thank you all so much for your feedback on part 1 and 2. I see there potentially being one more part to this, if people want it!?
The day had come. The snow was settling and the allies had gathered at the Cullen house, ready to defend their friends against the Volturi.
You felt out of your depth completely. Surrounded by red eyed vampires, reminding you of the crimson eyes of Demetri, his face haunting your thoughts and your dreams.
You hadnât heard from him at all. Nothing.
Bella had decided it was a good thing, that maybe he had a conscience and he had decided the best thing for you was to keep you here, where you were safe. Carlisle wasnât so sure, knowing Aro as he did, he would never forcibly keep you from Demetri, but he had strict rules about newborns in Volterra. He and Edward talked about this at length each evening. Edward feared that Aro had more sinister intentions, and he knew he possibly couldnât save you from that without putting his family at risk. He worried for Bella if his suspicions were true.
You had spent so much time together in these weeks, helping her to gain full control of her thirst and supporting her with your gift (not that you could help her really, but she appreciated your support either way). You knew that Edward was worried about you becoming close when it was inevitable that you would soon be separated, you had overheard him advising her to distance herself, that it would be harder for her and Renesmee the more time you spent together. He quickly changed the conversation when he heard your thoughts on the matter, realising that you were nearby and he hasnât spoken of it since.
Jacob had become distant too, his guard was raised constantly in a household full of red eyed âbloodsuckersâ. He had overheard enough conversations to know that it was inevitable that Demetri would take you, and that you would be turned and be like them. He was saving his heart from being broken again, losing another friend to the other side. Instead, he focused himself on his imprint, trying to keep her happy and distracted from the chaos that was building around her, but that didnât stop him from caring about you, wishfully thinking there was something he could do to save you.
~~~
âY/N should come with us. Either way Demetri will look for her, we just put more people at risk if we try to hide herâ Rosalie says with a sigh.
âYou know I can hear you Rose, you donât need to talk as if Iâm not hereâ she rolls her eyes at you as you turn to Carlisle and Edward.
âYouâll be at risk if you come with us, surrounded by those who donât share the same
âI donât want to put anyone at risk, Iâll come with youâ I want to be with Demetri. Edward looks over at you. Sorry.
He smiles at you, âI already told you, itâs the mate pull, you canât help it. Iâm glad that you are thinking positively about it.â
âI just…I just donât want anyone else to be hurt because theyâre trying to protect me from the inevitableâ you sigh as you look around at your friends.
âBeing part of the Volturi aside, the mate bond is pretty coolâ Emmett says as he pulls Rosalie into his side.
You smiled at Emmett, thinking about Demetri holding you in the same way. Your face flushed with embarrassment as Edward coughed lightly, reminding you he was there. Sorry again.
I suppose weâve just got to wait and see what happens now.
Demetriâs POV
The Masters had landed in Seattle, ready to make the journey into Forks to âspeakâ the Cullens. We were due to meet them, along with our witnesses we had gathered in a clearing outside of Seattle, before moving to the agreed clearing to meet the Cullens.
The anticipation of seeing Y/N was killing me, if I wasnât already dead, of course.
I had been preparing myself to explain what had happened, why I had kept this secret from them. As soon as Aro takes my hand he will know what has happened and what Iâve done, I need it clear in my mind my reasons for it.
I wanted to give her time to say goodbye.
I tapped your foot on the floor in anticipation, Felix glanced at me before growling low. Calm he mouthed to me. I shot him an apologetic look before forcing my foot to stop.
The Masters swept into the field, surrounded by the rest of the upper guard, along with some lower guard and the witnesses they had gathered on the way. We walk towards them, Jane offering her hand to Aro as we get close enough. He glances at me as he searches through Janeâs mind. He turns to look at his brothers.
âIt seems that our dear Demetri has met his mate. And she is a Cullen no less!â
âIs she gifted? Could she be of use to us brother?â Caius asks Aro, seemingly disinterested in the conversation unless it benefits him in some way.
âShe is still human brother, sheâs a human Cullen. Like our dear Bella wasâ Caius growls at this statement.
âWe still do not know if they have kept their word brotherâ Aro snaps his head in Caiusâ direction. âYou think they would lie to to us brother? That they had kept it a secret that she is still human? Fed us lies about her changing? That I am stupid enough to fall for that?â Aro was now inches away from Caiusâ face, his body tense with anger. Marcus breaks the tense silence with a question directed to me.
âWhy did you not inform us of this dear boy? You have waited centuries to find her, I would think you would have shouted this from the rooftops.â
I sensed the hurt in Marcusâ voice. He treated me like family, and I would normally talk to him about most things, it was unusual for me to keep a secret.
âI wanted to give her time. They know what is coming. They know that she will come with us, I just wanted to give her time with them to say goodbye.â I plead with Marcus, hoping he can sense my bond to her, but know that my bond to the Volturi has not wavered.
âWhat do you say brother? These secrets and lies must mean that Demetriâs ties to us are…weakening does it not?â Caius turns to Marcus, expecting him to confirm his suspicions I assume, but he does not.
âOur dear Demetri has strong feelings for this Cullen yes, but his loyalty to us has not changed, he just has additional bonds, that is all.â Aro smiles at this, and clasps his hands together, suggesting he has made a plan.
âY/N will come with us to Volterra following our meeting with the Cullens. As a human, she was not to know of our rules regarding immortal children, she is not to blame here. However, Demetri dear…she will have to be turned. For your loyalty we will allow her to stay in Volterra, but you and Felix will need to train her. She can join the lower guard.â With that, Aro turns and clicks, commanding the guard to follow him towards Forks.
~~~
You stood between Edward and Carlisle, the rest of the Cullens to your left side, except for Alice and Jasper who had still not returned. Bella, Renesme and Jacob stand to your right, with the rest of the wolves and the Cullen allies behind you.
You were very aware of the fact you would be the sole human, in a field full of vampires, and though you attempted to still your heartbeat, it was thumping so hard you could hear it in your ears. âJust breathe Y/N, no one will harm youâ Edward said, glancing at you, having heard your panic. You took a deep breath, before you felt something nudge at your shoulder. You turn to see Jake, looking at you with worry in his eyes, and you reach to stroke the side of his face, letting the softness of his fur calm you. You lean against him as you whisper âIâll be ok Jake. Iâll be okâ he whines softly at this, knowing that this might be the last time he ever sees you. That it will definitely be the last time he sees you human, and he takes the moment to take in every detail he can, before moving back to his place beside his imprint.
You take a sharp intake of breath as you see the Volturi appearing in the distance, it is clear that they outnumber the group standing behind you, and the fear inside you increases.
âAroâs looking for Aliceâ Edward whispers, as you look carefully at the figures in front of you, your human vision not enough for you to be able to identify figures. Your heartbeat rises as your eyes feel drawn towards a figure to the left of the figures in the middle, Demetri.
Demetriâs POV
I canât take my eyes off of her, her hands clenched at her side, eyes darting across the group beside me as she attempts to focus on the figures. Sheâs looking for me.
Carlisle walks forward before speaking, but my eyes canât leave Y/N. âAro, let us discuss things as we used to, in a civilised manner.â
Caius scoffs at his words before Aro replies âFair words, Carlisle. But a little out of place given the battalion you have assembled against usâ.
Carlisle shakes his head, âI can promise you, that was never my intent. No laws have been brokenâ
âWe see the child, do not treat us as foolsâ Caius spits out in reply.
The conversation continues with Carlisle confident of his innocence and Aro confident in his guilt, asking for evidence of his innocence by meeting the supposed immortal child.
âEdward, as the child clings to your newborn mate, I assume you are involvedâ
Edward looks at Bella before walking towards Aro, his hand stretching out as soon as he is close enough. Aro takes the offered hand, enclosing it in his own, he hums with interest.
âIâd like to meet her.â
Edward turns to look at Bella and the immortal child before nodding. Bella, the child, the wolf and the large Cullen begin walking before Aro interrupts.
âBring Y/N with you young Bella, I know dear Demetri is keen to have her safely with him and we are all very keen to meet her.â He smiles before looking towards me, I nod briefly, before walking towards where he is standing with Edward.
I will not harm her.
Edward looks at me in shock, before nodding in understanding, and he looks back towards his mate.
The group continues walking, this time with Y/N in tow. The walk is painfully slow, and I canât stop my foot from tapping impatiently in the snow.
When they finally reach us, I realise that Iâm frowning, and I quickly try to replace this with a natural smile before looking towards Y/N, but she avoids my gaze.
âAh, young Bella. Immortality becomes you.â He turns to Y/N, âand Y/N, you are even more beautiful than Demetri described, we are all looking forward to you joining us in Volterra. You will go to him now yes?â
Y/N looks at me and I smile at her, nodding, before she steps tentatively towards me.
~~~
You walk towards Demetri, his eyes locked on yours, and suddenly you are no longer aware of what is going on around you.
âY/Nâ he breaths out your name, and you realise youâve never heard your name sound so beautiful as it does when it comes from his mouth.
All the weeks youâve been waiting for him have led to this moment, âDemetriâ you reply, and he smiles at the sound of your voice.
He holds out his hand to you and you take it, walking away from the group talking in the middle, you glance back to see Aro leaning forward as Renesmee holds her hand to his cheek.
âY/N I must first apologise, I wanted to contact you, I was desperate to, but, I feared that if I contacted you that this would shorten your time with your family and your friends. I did not wish to take that time from you.â He gently touches his hand to your cheek, and you place your hand on top of his own.
âI donât mind, I keep being reminded that we will have forever together, so Iâm sure you will be able to make it up to meâ you reply with a hint of flirtation to your voice. You cup your hand over your mouth, realising that you were still close enough to be heard by everyone else and your face flushed.
Demetri chuckles at this, before his attention is drawn back to the group standing with Aro. Everyoneâs attention is now far into the distance, with your human vision you have difficulty making out the figures until they are much closer. Alice.
You cannot hear the conversation between Aro and Alice, but can see her stretch out her hand for Aro to take. Demetri tenses at my side, and you sense the conversation is not going as expected. Demetri glances to the tall vampire you saw him with when you first met, who nods briefly and before you can register what is happening you are in Demetriâs arms travelling faster than you thought possible.
Your mind tries to process what you have seen, trying to rationalise the raised voices you briefly heard before you were picked up. What was Alice so angry about? What did Demetri not want you to see?
How would you describe Alec personality in a story?
I have read a lot of fanfics about him but they put him like a new version of Edward but dark without personality, easily to manipulate, Jane's shadow, the sad boy with good feelings and all that crap.
Well, I better fess up and admit I wrote a fic centering on Alec ages ago, The Door in the Dark. Needless to say, a lot of my opinions have changed since then (notably on Jane, Bella, Alec, The Volturi… really pretty much everyone).
The thing with Alec is that we see next to nothing of him in the books (we see next to nothing of him in the movies either but the movies are inherently ridiculous and I pay them 0 attention). He has one interaction where heâs happy to see Jane, he and Jane walk hand and hand into battle, and thatâs it. Thatâs all we get.
So really, when it comes to writing him, itâs an anything goes exercise. Itâs like writing those pretty much OC but not really characters from Harry Potter (Abraxas Malfoy, Orion Black, Alphard Black, etc.) you really can do anything you want and I canât point to canon to stop you. I might not enjoy it, but someone can definitely write a Janeâs sad gullible shadow with good feelings and all of that crap and I canât say theyâre wrong.
Were I to write a fic with him now I think Iâd emphasize that heâs twelve. Heâs immortal, sure, but heâs a twelve-year-old boy and heâs bound to on some level act like it. Jane is probably the more serious/mature twin but that doesnât make Alec in any way a sad puppy who just trails behind her. Beyond that I canât say Iâve given it much thought.
I donât see myself writing him as a primary character any time soon. Alec and Jane are interesting, but as of right now, I canât think of writing any story in which they carry the weight of it and are anything more than secondary characters.
Wouldn't it be cool if Renesmee's growth were logarithmic? The graph is really steep in the beginning, so she would look like she was rocketing up for the first few years, but then by the time she was nine or ten the opposite would be true. The Cullens would notice her growing less and less every year. She'd look fourteen at forty, sixteen at eighty, twenty at two hundred. etc.
Answer:
I think itâs implied that it is, to a certain degree. That is somewhere (the Guide?) SM said her growth is faster at first and then slows down as she approaches âadulthoodâ–or whatever passes for adulthood for a hybrid, SM has said Nessie will look about 18-20 when sheâs done growing. So the last couple years of growth she might be growing slowly enough to fit in at a high school of college if she wanted to and stay there for a few years.Â
But your idea is better. The idea that Nessie will age like a mortal and then stop at young adulthood is just too easy. It solves the immortality problem is just the most pat and boring way. Again, no consequences (other than Nessie not having a childhood but no one in the story seems to care about that all that much. In fact, Nessie quality of life never really comes up at all. No one is worried about how isolated sheâll be, how lonely being the only one of her kind, no one worries that she will have no childhood, etc. Bella worried that she might age too quickly and die an old woman at 15, but once that question was answered by Nahuel itâs just âoh yay perfect immortality forever, what bliss!â)Â
Thereâs something so compelling about the slooooow aging. Because it seems great, itâs a long life. But everyone else in her family is not aging at all, and actually immortal, so even knowing she might have a lifetime of several hundred years, they still know her life is finite and theyâll have to lose her someday. And then just the weirdness of when she finally looks older than everyone else, when she has to be the âmomâ or the âgrandmaâ in their cover story while everyone still reacts to her like the baby of the family.Â
yâall sucked me back into the twilight fandom and you can only blame yourself for these thoughts
BUT
People defend Jacobâs imprinting on Ravioli by saying like âit doesnât have to mean love!!! imprinting just means heâs her protector!!!â But um
Idk if he said this in the books but in the movies jacob literally calls edward dadâjacob himself has literally proven to the cullens and the audience that he is fully prepared to groom this child, this innocent abomination of a being. And even in resumeâs visions (I think I havenât watched the movie in a hot minute) it shows renesmee and jacob together, and im pretty sure itâs showing them as a couple.
So Jacob stans, defend him all you will. Try to frame it in a different light, but frankly smeyer wrote a disgusting storyline and that has no excuse.
Hi! I was reading through your meta (which is reeeeally interesting) and noticed you said you don't like Eleazar? I was wondering why that was?
Answer:
Tumblr ate this ask when I had almost finished it and I hate everything. Also, thanks for the compliment, Iâm really glad you like my things.
Now to try and remember what I wrote about EleazarâŠ
I think Eleazar is a disagreeable person whose gift wasnât useful enough to warrant a place in the Volturi guard, and Aro jumped on the Carmen-shaped excuse to give him an honorable discharge.
To start with the gift, we see him use it twice and neither time is particularly impressive.
Siobhan Siobhan has the power of reality manipulation. Her gift is noticeable enough that Carlisle is certain she has it, so when he gets Eleazar and Siobhan in a room together he pulls Eleazar over to see if he was right.
Eleazar squints at Siobhan.
And he squints.
Finally he says, «Iâve got nothing.»
Now, gifts are an iffy, complicated matter everyone has their own theories about, but I think that at the end of the day we can all agree itâs a binary, youâre gifted or youâre not. Some gifts may be weak, but those are still gifts. And maybe someone will touch the gray zone of «is it a gift or is Johnny the vampire just really good at juggling?», but Siobhan has the power to manipulate reality, and she must do it a lot for Carlisle to have come to suspect it in the first place. She has a definitive and powerful gift.
And even if Iâm wrong about gifts being binary, if Eleazar wants to be useful to Aro he should still be able to say: Yes, this person has a gift, or no, this person does not have a gift.
Sadly, he is not. When brought before Siobhan he says «She could have a gift, she could also not have a gift.» This means he hasnât detected her gift, which is bad enough by itself. Being able to tell if someone has a gift or not should be a dealbreaker. The way he answers, though, that she could very well have a gift he doesnât know about, makes it clear that people having gifts he couldnât detect has happened enough for him to be open to the possibility that the gift there, and he canât see it.
In other words, Eleazar isnât reliable for detecting gifts and will give Aro false negatives.
Bella This is an aside but as itâll inevitably come up later in my blog Iâll just drop here that I think Bellaâs gift is something more complex than a shield. She has prophetic dreams, hallucination!Edward, and thereâs a weird inconsistency as to who is blocked by her and who isnât. I think her gift is self-preservation, and the shield is one of its manifestations.
Anyway, onto discrediting Eleazar.
(Iâll be pretty closely paraphrasing what happens in chapter 31 of Breaking Dawn, but since the interaction goes on for several pages Iâm not going to clutter this post by pasting all of it.)
To his credit, he does notice Bella right away, and he identifies her as a shield based on the fact that he gets this sense of nothingness from her. This is all he can do, however, and I canât stress that enough. He assumes that she can block Edward, but heâs shocked to learn that she can block Aro. Heâs just as surprised that she can block Jane and Alec. He has to interview her to deduce exactly what her gift does, which again has nothing to do with his gift. Anyone could ask questions, in fact Aro found all this out two books ago, without the help of Eleazar.
Eleazar then starts musing aloud about who-would-win in a Renata vs. Bella showdown (more on that later), which is as tactless as it is revealing. The guy genuinely doesnât know, and itâs because he doesnât understand their gifts well enough.
Eleazarâs power means he can tell Bella that she has a gift, and he knows roughly what it is. He muses that usually he canât even tell that much, which again is quite damning. He canât tell her exactly what she does without a game of 20 questions first. She gives him more information than he gives her, which he then regurgitates back to her with slightly different wording, and everybody claps. «My god, Eleazar, youâve done it again!» (No, really, this is pretty much what happens. Eleazar brought no new information to the table, yet he blew Bella and Edwardâs minds.)
Itâs all fun and games to do this for Bella and Edward, as they for various reasons genuinely didnât realize she had a gift. For Aro, who figured this one out on his own, one begins to wonder what Eleazar was bringing to the table.
Carlisle Bonus bullet point!
Iâll make this one brief. I believe Carlisle in canon has a gift heâs unaware of (Yes, I have a post planned, but it will get ugly long so god knows when itâll come), which makes him another one of Eleazarâs gift detection fails.
In short, I think heâs extremely charismatic, able to win over anybody. To list a few examples - he has an extremely diverse set of friends who in Breaking Dawn are willing to lay down their lives for him, Jacob muses how his instinctive hostility around vampires doesnât apply to Carlisle, and vampires are terrifying to humans (donât be fooled by the movies, people) yet Carlisle is able to work as a successful doctor, meaning his patients donât mind being exposed to a killing machine even when theyâre at their most vulnerable. Heâs able to keep his family of sociopaths in line. Thereâs not a single person in the Twilight âverse that dislikes him. (Billy and Caius excepted, but Billy has no direct exposure to him until late Eclipse, and Caius is responding to a coven thatâs potentially threatening the Volturi)
People are free to disagree with me on this one, but if Iâm right (and I have a lot of book quotes as well as a theory on what gifts even are to back me up on this one. Iâm right, damnit!) then Carlisle is another gifted vampire Eleazar failed to detect.
So. Weâve established that Eleazarâs gift will yield false negatives, and that he canât tell you much about the gifts he does detect.
I think his power is to point out the obvious.
Which means that Aroâs eyelid was twitching slightly, but alright, Eleazar could still be useful.
Unfortunately, there is the matter of weighing up your pros with your cons.
The Volturi are, at the end of the day, a group of people who live in a commune together. Coven, guard, evil minions, call them what we like but theyâre exposed to each other and some sense of agreeability is required. And Chelsea is not omnipotent.
More, I imagine that in a coven as large and old as the Volturi, theyâve developed a culture of their own. This means that newcomers will need social awareness and a willingness to fit in.
Eleazar, from what we see of him in Breaking Dawn, appears to lack both.
Itâs in the way he speaks of the people he used to work with. Itâs utterly impersonal. He tells us how their gifts work, no more and no less. When he speaks of Aro, he speaks only of actions Aro took and orders he gave, nothing about the manâs personality. Now, considering the context, he was speaking in a context where Janeâs thoughts and feelings were far from relevant, but itâs still notable.
Also notable is the fact that he has no issue contemplating a Renata vs. Bella scenario, even though this would mean the deaths of two people he worked with for years. Perhaps itâs a thought exercise, but itâs not a thought exercise I would have gotten into when it was days away from becoming reality. If Renata canât deflect Bellaâs power, she and Aro die.
Iâll put it this way - I donât think heâd do a «who would win» like this involving Carmen.
At no point in the book does Eleazar show any concern for the eventuality that members of a guard he used to be a part of may get killed.
It seems he didnât form personal relationships with the rest of the guard. I suspect he considered himself… if not quite above them, then still someone who could evaluate them. Their gifts is what he looked at in them. I also think itâs likely he asked Aro not to use Chelsea on him, which in turn would have made him stick out even more as thereâs nothing making him and Volturi Guard Member X just click in the way I imagine Chelsea can be very helpful with. Which in turn means that the other guard members will feel close to one another in a way theyâre not close to Eleazar.
Also⊠heâs just a douche. Iâm sorry, but I donât make the rules and the whole guy radiates douche. I canât even point to a specific quote in the book, itâs just is.
I donât think this guy never really fit into the Volturi guard, and his gift wasnât useful enough to keep him. Aro was thrilled to have him at first, but as time went on and Eleazar proved to just not be all that, he eventually realized he had to get rid of him.
Because as others have pointed out before me, the Carmen excuse makes no sense. There would be no problem in one more vampire in the castle, yet Aro wouldnât let her in and Eleazar had to choose.
It was a solution that sent Eleazar on his way with his ego intact, and no hard feelings towards the Volturi. More, Aro is on record doing this with itâs-not-you thing with at least one other vampire. Laurent wanted to join the Volturi, had nothing to bring to the table, and Aro used past association with the Romanians as an excuse for why Laurent couldnât join rather than tell him to his face that he was useless. With Marcus, Aro, and Chelsea around, the Romanian connection isnât a problem, meaning Aro was bullshitting.
TL;DR: Aro is the kind of person whoâd lie and say his grandma died if he doesnât want to go to your party, and Eleazar is the kind of person whoâd say «My condolences».
Jane Volturiâs infamously intimidating presence seems to have no effect on a local boy, and she canât decide if sheâs happy about that. (As usual the twins are aged up to 18.)
Disclaimer: I am not a doctor or in the medical profession. I did some google searches for the themes mentioned. Such injuries usually take weeks to months of healing not to mention rehabilitation. Iâve had to condense this process down significantly.Â
Aliceâs eyes shifted rapidly, panic etched across her face. Jasper held her hands, sitting beside her. It was his attempt to comfort her but she didnât seem to recognise he was even there, too caught up in the vision as well as the panic. She wouldnât even explain what was happening before her. Alice begged for someone to contact the Volturi. However Carlisle was at work and no one else knew if heâd have a direct line to them.Â
Regardless, Alice continued to plead to inform the Volturi. Inform them of what, it was yet to be known. She wouldnât say. âWhat is it Alice?â Jasper asked again, trying to get her attention as Emmett typed away on the laptop. âWeâre going the long way.â He said hurriedly as Rosalie grabbed the phone. She looked over Emmettâs shoulder as she dialled. She didnât even spare whoever it was on the other end of the phone a greeting. âThis is Rosalie Cullen and you need to pass the phone to the Volturi immediately! No, not just a guard! Aro! Anyone! Just do it!â Rosalie turned her attention to Alice. âAlice, you need to tell us whatâs happening now!âÂ
Everything was peaceful in the Volturi castle. Yet the receptionist seemed to start pandemonium in a matter of seconds. She hurried to the first guard she could find who had been Jane. She stared the human down as the receptionist hurriedly relayed that Rosalie Cullen was on the phone and had to talk to the leaders. All in fluent hurried Italian with fear of the situation as well as fear of Jane. Jane silently took the phone, telling the human to go back to her post which she did. “Rosalie?â Jane said into the phone. âJane!?â âYes?â âJane, this is an emergency. You need to go to Aro immediately!â âWhat is this about?â âDonât ask questions, just do it!â Rosalie snapped. All the while Jane could hear a panicked Alice Cullen in the background rambling. Jane huffed but complied.Â
Jane moved briskly into the throne room, moving into the middle, phone in hand with a stern expression upon her face. âMasters, pardon the intrusion but Rosalie Cullen is on the phone. She deems it is an emergency. I believe I may have heard (Y/N)âs name.â The three suddenly had all their attention on Jane. âJane!? Jane are they there!?â Jane put the phone onto speaker. âWeâre all here and can hear you.â âAlice had a vision about (Y/N). Some thing is happening!"Â
Rosalieâs attention moved back to Alice. "Alice! Theyâre on the phone! You need to tell us what is happening!â âI chased it!â Alice cried out. âI chased the vision. I saw (Y/N) in a car and i think it was about to crash!â There was silence on both ends, only Alice saying a word. âIâm trying to see further!â Alice continued to talk, no one else able to say a word. âI saw them lying there in a hospital bed, please let me be wrong! Please!â
Suddenly Alice screamed and the three leaders rushed towards Jane who still had the phone. âAlice, what is happening!?â Aro demanded. âTheyâŠit crashed. TheyâŠtheyâre not moving!"Â
Hi so I’m new to the fandom and was wondering how I should introduce myself, I’m such a nervous person lol, and I really need some advice, tysm x
Answer:
Hi!đ Well when I started to get into this crazy fandom, I started by retweeting posts that I liked or liking posts.
But when I started creating my own posts, I felt more comfortable introducing myself as “welcome to my blog"or thinks like that.đ€
I think that in that part it may depend on how you feel at the moment, sometimes I usually start straight to the point in what I’m going to say.
if you want to talk to other writers, whether it’s posts, fanfics or headcanons. You can start by saying hello and if you don’t feel comfortable saying your name, no problem.đ
The twilight community is really nice and we all share that memory of having grown up with Twilight and now return to criticize it in a more mature way. Don’t be nervous! All the writers I know are open to opinions, request or ideas so just do it!âșïžâïž
Sorry this is too longđŹ, I hope this could help uđ.
It's not a question but I have to thrown this from my chest, I can see Aro as Ares who go to fight with the twins Phobos who is the personification of panic in this case Alec and his twin brother Deimos who is the personification of pain in this case represented by Jane with her power. Maybe it's just me but I can kick this out my head.
P.S. Sulpicia would be Aphrodite.
P.P.S. Marcus and Caius are the other personalities of Ares
Answer:
…wow this is a really cool idea.
Ares has many different characteristics, some of which Iâm hesitant to give any of the Volturi coven leaders (rash decision-making for example), but others fit quite well. Decisive and bloodthirsty (no pun intended) could apply to any of them.
Love the twins representing Phobos and Deimos. Jane and Alec seem to be the linchpin of the Volturiâs offensive attacks, as necessary to them as Phobos and Deimos were to causing disorder and chaos during their fatherâs battles. Inescapable, leading to armiesâ planning and training falling apart in the face of fear, splitting said armies wide open and leaving them open to slaughter. Yeah, that sounds like them. (The Romanians agree.)
Also, Volturi meaning vulture in Latin? Aresâ bird being the vulture?
I really enjoy this account so I want to try and follow as many Twilight blogs as I can and get a really good variety of posts in my feed. So please go ahead and reblog or like and I almost definitely will follow you :)Â
Maybe someone else has asked you this before but .... does a smell in specific recalls you a Volturi guard o king?? If it does why?
For example the vanilla scent recalls me of Jane, because it's girly and sweet (and Jane is a child, so she smells like vanilla for me)
Answer:
Oh cool, vanilla for Jane is a fitting choice given her age and a different side of her character that I absolutely love. I guess if I were to give associate a certain scent with a Volturi member… hmm.
Thereâs this cranberry apple lotion in my room that reminds me of Corin. Itâs pretty subdued, but thereâs a sharp undertone of fruit.
Demetri reminds me of a lemony citrus scent. Very invigorating, fresh, and a bit forceful in its strength.
Aro strikes me as a bit peppermint-y. Slightly overwhelming in scent and taste. Heâs like those lifesaver candies that teachers give you before the big standardized tests because theyâre supposed to stimulate brain activity, but they end up distracting you while setting your mouth on fire.
You looked down at the fancy card before you, a wedding invitation. It wasnât expected in the slightest and you gasped seeing just who was getting married. Edward and Bella. You didnât even know about their engagement. It wasnât long after that Aro told you they had received word Edward and Bella were to be married. You nodded with a polite smile. âYes,â You raised the invitation in your hand. âIâve been invited.â This made Demetri turn his head towards you. âThis proves my point, Aro.â Caius began. âThey are mocking us with their delays!â âOf course not, brother. Our dear (Y/N) was good friends with Bella before joining us.â Aro replied, casting you a smile. âTell me, do you plan on attending?â âActually, I figured it would be best to discuss that with you and Demetri.â You said moving to Demetriâs side. âWell, I can assure you, you have our approval on the condition that you donât go alone. Other than that, we trust youâll make the right decision.â Aro nodded to Demetri. âWhy donât you go with young (Y/N) and discuss this further?â Demetri nodded silently. âThank you.â You bowed slightly with another polite smile. âItâs always a pleasure to see you, (Y/N), farewell my dears.â Aroâs eyes gleamed.Â
The leaders liked you more than people would have thought. You were pretty young in their eyes and such respect was hard to come by in humans in modern eras. You, however, once settled in had the upmost respect for the three and weâre always very pleasant. So much so that even Caius thought highly of you, even if he didnât show it. The leaders seemingly surprised that despite meeting you through Bella when Edward had come to Italy, you were the least troublesome human they had ever known. It was at that time that you had discovered you were Demetriâs mate and whilst you were evidently uncomfortable at first. You were able to keep your senses and be as respectful as you could. With that, they concluded that they could trust you to obey them just like every other guard.Â
As the doors closed behind you, Demetri took your arm into his, walking you both down the corridor at a leisurely pace. âI must admit, I am surprised you received an invitation.â Demetri began, casting a glance at the invitation in your free hand. âI am too.â You nodded at him with a look of unease. âI didnât thinkâŠthey never tried to contact me.â âIâm sure itâs nothing personal, my darling.â Demetriâs gaze met yours. âI believe it solely to be due to our business with the Cullenâs, not you.â You nodded in agreement. âI understand. I justâŠit kind of hurts sometimes. You know? Even after all this time.â You looked down, cracking a smile. âThatâs very silly of me. I donât even-â âNo, it is not. Darling, itâs not silly at all. I completely understand.â Demetri reassured you, his brow furrowing slightly at your self deprecating comments. âI thought they hated me. That theyâd find it easier to think that way at least.â You admitted. âDarling, they havenât seen you since they were last here. If they hate anyone, itâs our coven and we stand between them and you.â You smirked at him. âTrust you never to share.â Demetri hummed in amusement. âI donât share, especially when it comes to you.“Â
It’s a snowy winter in Volterra, and a cold one, at that. It may not be the first snowfall a certain witch twin has seen, but it will be the first one he’s shared with his mate. Will he share much more with you that day, or will he freeze you out like he does with almost everyone else…?
âą fluff; tiny bit of angst; language; AGED-UP Alec and Jane (BD Pt. 2 movie version)
đ This one’s a little long again, sorry! I promise it’s great, though! đ
A/N: I- welp.. This is long overdue, I apologize. But enjoy lovelies!!
You woke up in a very uncomfortable hospital bed, and you had a killer headache.
You turned your head slightly to take in your surroundings. As your eyes scanned the room, you noticed no one was there, no surprise there. You sat up a bit and groaned in pain, everything hurt. There was no people, however there was something that caught your eye, laying at the end of your bed. A black and red cloak, neatly folded and layed there. You slightly tilted your head and picked up the cloak analyzing it. It was very soft, and it gave you a sense of home that made you feel comfort. It smelled like cologne, and cinnamon, the most intoxicating scent you’ve ever smelled. You smiled slightly and noticed something on it, Inside were the initials D.V. you traced over that with your finger and sighed.
You had remembered everything that had happened, but very faintly. You cuddled into it because you knew it was his. The vampire that saved you from getting slaughtered. You were grateful to him, but you felt a pain as your chest tightened as you thought about him. You knew exactly what was happening, Bella went through the same thing. This so called vampire was your mate…
You layed back down as you were lost in thought. So that means, you would finally have someone? That you weren’t gonna be totally alone forever.. Your thoughts were interrupted by the door opening. Still frightened from getting attacked, you jumped on instinct. You looked to see who it was, as you ever so slightly perked your head up from the white pillow to find Carlisle standing at the end of your bed. He was staring at the cloak you had in your arms, staring like it was a virus he, oh so desperately wanted to kill. Then he opened his mouth to speak, “Where.. Where did you get that?” He asked, trying to sound as sympathetic as possible, but you could hear the concern in his voice.
You moved it closer as his hands went to take it. You gripped it as tightly to your chest as you possibly could, “Carlisle.. A n-newborn… Attacked me. Which you probably know, someone saved me.. Sucked the venom out of my leg, as weird as it sounds.. He was wearing this.. Carlisle do you know anything?” You said in a raspy hoarse voice from not speaking for so long, and you narrowed your eyes at Carlisle as he closed the door, and ran a hand through his short golden locks, as he began speaking, “May I..? I’ll give it back, I promise..” Carlisle asked as he moved closer and held his hand out. Contemplating for a second, you looked at it, then back at him. You sighed and nodded. You trusted Carlisle. You handed it over to him and felt your chest tighten again, like the missing puzzle piece was ripped from your chest again.
Carlisle examined it, and checked the inside, at the initials. His eyes scanned it as he thought for a second. He then set it down next to you, and sighed heavily. “Y/N.. You know about the Volturi, from when Bella went to italy..?” Carlisle trailed off and sat on the end of your bed. You nodded and furrowed your eyebrows waiting for him to continue. He looked at the floor and sighed again, “Well, the one who saved you.. Was Demetri Volturi, their tracker… He was probably here, because of the army… Or to see if Bella was still human. Listen, please.” Carlisle said in his stern tone, but he was softer. He then looked up in your eyes to make sure you understood, he could see the way your face lit up at the mention of his name. He knew you were mates. “They feed on humans…” he continued.
You stopped him with a sigh, “Carlisle, thank you.. So much, for letting me know… But I know for a fact, Demetri will not hurt me… The way he acted last night-” Carlisle stopped you, and gave you kind eyes, “It wasn’t last night dear… It was five days ago…” Carlisle said in a soft like tone he’d just used. You blinked at him a few times and covered your mouth with a sigh. You couldn’t register what he had just said, “Where’s Dad and Bella?” You asked with tears in your eyes, Carlisle got up to check your vitals as he spoke, “Charlie is at work, and Bella is.. With Edward.” He said refilling your fluid bag.
You layed back down with the cloak cuddled tightly to your chest, holding it, as hot tears fell on the pillow, “Thanks, Carlisle. For everything…” You whispered in a raspy voice, Carlisle nodded and smiled that comforting smile. “Of course. If you have anymore questions about the Volturi, don’t hesitate to let me know.” Carlisle said as he walked out the door.
As the door closed you broke down in tears. Why did this have to happen to you? Why now? You cried yourself back to sleep, as you tightly held the cloak closer to you, oh so wishing you were in his arms again.
Demetri’s POV:
I somehow managed to get away from, Jane and Alec, to go to the hospital. What would I say? What would I do? I had no idea, the only thing that mattered was knowing she was safe, and that I got there in time to save her life.
I walked into the hospital with my hood up, and my sunglasses on. I obviously couldn’t walk into a public establishment, looking like I was from a different decade, so as much as I hated it, I went on a shopping spree and bought casual clothes to wear. It was ripped Jean’s and a black hoodie. Definitely wasn’t my style.
I walked up to Carlisle, and whispered. “Carlisle, what room? We both know why I’m here…” I whisper, Carlisle sighed and looked at the papers in his hands, “Room, one-forty nine. Be careful, I mean it.” Carlisle warned me in his stern father like voice. I simply rolled my eyes, not like he could see through my black tinted glasses. I walked to her room in ‘human’ speed. Being surrounded by all the blood was absolutely driving me insane. My throat burned and I clenched my jaw as I desperately needed to feed.
I got to her room, and I was suddenly very nervous. What on earth would I say to her? I turned the silver door nob and walked in quietly closing the door behind me. As I turned back around I saw her laying there on the white hospital bed, unconscious? I sighed in relief at the fact I could hear her steady heart beat. It seems I’d forgotten, humans need sleep.
I sat in the uncomfortable green chair next to her bed, and took in her features. She had a giant gash on her forehead, and a busted bottom lip. That made me very angry. All I wanted to do was take away her pain and wounds. I very gently held her hand in my gloved one. “Everything’s okay, Love.” I said with a sigh. I didn’t wanna think about what would have happened if I hadn’t come when I did.
As I looked at her, I felt a very strong pull. It was like she was my everything, I wanted to be her everything. I felt everything else that mattered to me, suddenly slip away as it was only her and I. Like I was living for her.
She looked so… Weak, so drained. It broke my unbeating heart that my mate was in this condition. I looked over at her again and saw she was cuddling my cloak, it was pressed to her cheek as she held it to her chest. That brought a comforting warm feeling to me, I had never experienced this before. It was like my heart would beat again. How did this tiny human mean so much to me? I couldn’t get my head wrapped around it.
I gently moved her hair away from her wound, someone should have pulled it up, to keep the gash from getting an infection. I got up to close the curtains too. Excuse me, what was Carlisle trying to do? My amore was sleeping, she didn’t need the stupid sun in her tired eyes. I pulled the blanket back up, and smiled. “Sleep well, sweetheart.” I whisper, but right as I went to leave, she moved, and put her leg out of the covers and turned over.
I saw the bandage on her leg and sighed sadly. I once again fixed her covers so she wasn’t cold, and then I put the cloak around her. I was in no hurry to take it back, and Carlisle told me it was keeping her content, so she needed it more then me. After a metal debate I decided to stay. I sat down and waited for her to wake up, as I read some random book on the end table. I silently hoped she would wake up before I had to go.
