The Truth Of My Facade
If we all wore masks in everyday life, my expression would remain the same all day. The only reason I smile or move muscles in my face, is to appear normal. Otherwise I would be as blank as the endless abyss inside me.
My voice only changes pitch to match the pace of the conversation. If I didn’t, then I would sound like I’m bored, tired and disinterested all the time. Which I am.
My hand and arm gestures are only for show. To show that I’m a real person with feelings that need to be expressed. It helps in looking like I feel empathy and have concern for other people.
On the inside, I am nothing but a shell, waiting for the sweet release from this painful and unnecessary existence.
